Love the fence discussion! 🤣🤣Riveting!!! BTW the extra spacing also significantly reduces wind resistance, thus reducing the likelihood of high wind damaging the fence. 😉😉
Fantastic course, great hotel, hotel also has a 9 hole approach course in the actual hotel grounds, have played there well over 40 times, the society/group I play with used to go there twice a year. Planning on taking them back there next year. Has two pro shops as well, one especially for the ladies and Emily Toy is well known at the club, I believe started her golf career there, brilliant female golfer.
All change from Pro front now Simon, Mark Row moved on to set up an online business, only one shop now, ladies shop is used for storage. Grant Slater is the new head pro, really nice lad 👍
@@DanHendriksenGolf, I know of Grant, have dealt with him a few times, whole set up is very good, very good food in the club house, reasonable priced drinks, very helpful staff. I didn’t know about the loss of the ladies pro shop, shame but can’t have enough storage. The only very very minor thing I can moan about and it’s not a real moan is how big the score card is ha ha it’s a 5 fold card.
Oh yeah!!! Love it! So this 3rd participant fellow that I remember as "Dan's Brother" is now "Warm up Paul"? LOL I dig it. I laughed out loud when Dan said to Warm up Paul......"You have a 3 iron" I still carry and use my Wilson Staff Tour Blade 2 iron and I'm old! Love that club.
I love Carlyon Bay. I was there once on a fine September day and after the game we sat outside the clubhouse watching the Red Arrows practicing. Thanks for bringing back those memories. 👍
Joe the Pro is absolutely a fan favourite! I laugh every time I hear you walk on the green with all that water 😊 Course has wonderful views. Paul needs to stop complaining about the weather in these vlogs, you get to golf 12 months of the year! 😀

Format we play all the time except halved hole doesn't count against the leader! And yes, we normally end up going up the last one up or all square. Fun format for social golf!

When you see a big hitter like Joe play, you really get the importance of the short game, believe it or not, because his chipping game is just brilliant. If he’s out of position, he chips it into gimme range.
Good game. I love to have game like Paul, every shot straight at the target 🎯. Did you tell about the stealth 2 I am shore with that club he could get another 5-10 yards.
Great example of bringing an unpractised new golf swing to the course, and then getting stuck between old and new swings, never works out. Dial it in first, then bring it to the party.
Any tips for you boys about the best Gore-Tex waterproofs to properly keep the rain out? Is it the Galvin Green stuff that Joe was sporting or do UA or FJ do good stuff. I’m after some waterproofs for the worst conditions (already got some for “normal”’rain). Cheers.
“I blame our parents”. That sums up Paul’s winning mentality - its never his fault. Its the club, the caddy, the groundsperson, the ball (big one and small one), his parents. None of this supportive nonsense Dan’s always displaying. Adopt Paul’s attitude Dan and might end up winning… No-one might end up liking you, mind but thats ‘cos they’d be jealous of your success.

FJ all day 😉 I like the Hydro Knit because it is so light but if you want some warmth go with the slightly thicker HydroTour 👍☔️
Galvin all day I tried FJ leaked through pockets. My new galvin I would be happy to be pressure washed in
