Space Station 13 is a game that you're not going to understand unless you play. It's not a game you can learn by watching or reading, and it is a game you certainly won't master in your first day, week or month. Space station 13 is one of the most insane experiences of my life, a game that has occupied my time for over a decade now. Space station 13 is the roguelike of roguelikes for me, the most wonderful piece of human created madness, and certainly on equal footing with dwarf fortress in terms of sheer complexity. Please join in as I embark again, for just another day on space station 13.

My current defining moment as a SS13 Janitor:
Massive sewage backup burst all the pipes in arrivals, flooding the entire area with stinky poo water.
Passing medic says, "Man, sucks to be you right now"
"I was born for this moment"
That's when I throw the cleaner grenade.
It's the little things in life that make the job fun.
I remember listening to an episode where Tex said: "Playing Space Station 13 is more fun then watching it." well as much as that maybe true. Tex's voice is honestly one of the best things that helps me sleep at night... I don't know what it is but its just spess game is the perfect thing to leave on while I sleep.
Started playing Miner, still listen to Tex while playing myself.

Oh hey, I was that engineer who caused that massive fire. I didn't do that on purpose tho
I really tried convincing CE that I need the RCD that he took, but he didn't listen
So from that point, I just ignored the engine. And it was running for quite a long time without any cuts, so it had to end that way
I learned from that mistake and now I always play CE whenever I want to do a hellburn round
If CE does not delegate his tools to the engineer that sets up the engine when asked then this CE is responsible for any and all subsequent engine meltdowns.

I don’t know how often you read your comments Tex, but I can say for sure that I enjoy your stuff man. It’s always great to unwind to some ss13 streamed to the TV, all the while kicking back in a comfy bed. On top of that I can say you are my favorite ss13 channel on RUclips. Keep up the good work lord and master of cargonia, long may you reign.
I always read them. Heaven help me if I forget. I feel bad for not reading what folks took time to say, as I figure its worth listening to if someone has the gumption to speak their mind. There's plenty of great ss13 people out there. Just browse!

That "silent nod" thing doesnt apply to Paradise. I was Mechanic on that server and had a protolathe setup and was doing upgrades on the station.(mechanic on Paradise just builds spacepods) and i got permad for stealing the protolathe board even though science had given it to me all cause it wasnt SoP

When you mentioned the "What are you doing?" thing it instantly made me think of that game. The guy that found me? Clown. Not sure why he was there or how he got there, but he was there. I never seen the people who where supposed to be working in the engine room.. Only seen that Clown...
( PS. I got into this game both due to you and Boatbomber.. Even though Boatbomber did not recommend the game... But with the way he chooses to recommend or not is.. Always odd. Also you are right about the monkeys.. I remember chasing one that stole a item I had to put down once, just for it, and 6 other monkeys to aggro on me.. I did not survive that round... )

For all those who are afraid to try more complex roles - try them on a low pop server when it's less than an hour in a round. If you melt down SM engine when there are 3.5 people on the station no one will be mad, they'll just laugh at you.
