This round of Space Station 13 was a complete rollercoaster of stories & emotions. Hands down a "must" to watch for any fan of Tex. He met some crazies, some psycho's, and one stand up parasite.
I had a blast that round. Was the chemist distributing LSD, meth, and space drugs because I got bored when everybody had what they needed. PS Those 5u patches I gave you were actually about 17u (just shy of the overdose threshold). Figured if they started going around people would start taking them thinking it's fine and end up addicted
this needs more likes. Everything in this from the borers to the meth-cat, to the "pipe inspections", to the prank on HOS needs to be seen by more people.
Spread this shit far and wide then, upvoting is only part of it. Sharing it, loving it, embracing the mayhem. Subjecting others to it. Thats what I need. Or . .just an upvote I guess?
This round basically drove the entire engineering department insane trying to find that power sink. I am pretty sure the CE literally went bonkers, I mean he got tazed so many times checking in the AI's areas for it that he got brain damage and went crazy.

One assumes the borer at the end of the round (on the shuttle) thought you were a traitor and spaced ya. Ruined that. The borer and sec-officer that helped ya out was pretty awesome, reminds me to try it at some point. Also good prank on the HOS, I should think about spicing up my rounds as QM with that stuff.
Can you not get out of a packaged locker by clicking resist in the IC tab? Jesus, that scene with the borer and shitcurity was amazing. What a great shift.

I've gotten ten and a half minutes into this, and I'm already laughing. the things you said about being a librarian.... I remember one time when my brother was on my account. He decided "Librarian! How hard of a job could that be!?", as it turns out, it can be very hard. With the constant murder, and the lack of books that people ACTUALLY want.
A good Librarian can be a great mentor, a news reporter, Indiana Jones, or a Kingsman while a bad Librarian will regret setting the option to anything higher than NO while getting drunk as fast as possible.
I'm a recent fan of the BPL and I must say it's shocking to watch these older videos before Tex's vocal fuckening. May your tea always be well-steeped and soothing, Tex.
I guess I'm the only person who actually likes doing librarian stuff. It might be because I've written like, a million books in the archive, though. Librarians also come with a pda cartridge that allows them to upload news articles on the fly, so acting like a reporter is also fun in that role.
I like to take a round every once in a while to man the library. I’ve spent entire rounds just reading as the station burns down around me and I enjoyed every minute! People have archived real and fake stories of traitor rounds, Malf AIs, cults, and more while throwing in some real-life books and general lore for good measure. That doesn’t even include the technical manuals people have made. If a good librarian is manning the computer, you can usually find a wealth of knowledge in the reference sections in the form of player-made manuals detailing everything from basic Research, Engineering, and Cargo to Combatting Space Carp, Locating Rare Materials, and even veteran practices like Hellburning.
I played as the librarian once and a lawyer came in and had me print out a bunch of books about a case she was working on. We discussed the case (a person defended themselves against security when the were doing nothing wrong. They were being charged with resisting arrest but they never did anything wrong so they shouldn't have been arrested to being with) we both went to medbay to donate blood when a call went out and the nurse managed to kill her instead of drawing her blood.... Round ended with me hunting the Chaplin with a furry space mans to get revenge for him being creepy and killing runtime. Chaplin kept leaving photos of corpses in my office......
I know I'm late. but I loved this session. Loved the prank. I hope JC figured out it was fake lasers. Loved the come uppance the Sec guy got. But Disliked the parasite spacing you. Worm bro, Why? But it's cool, apparently warp space is only 5 feet from the station. this is worth every moment.
so at 15:18 in and he is already loosing it..... just turn of the freaking belt of again >.< switch if back of, leverage the lever again, undo the moving machine through the power of pulling a stick. and huzzah the coin tip saved the day.. kinda
It's amazing how quickly the station can become a shithole, especially once a game goes beyond that hour long mark... Mopficcer Sweepsky has way too much work to handle, and Glowshrooms just look so... so messy in the main halls... The only good thing about the state of the station, is that there weren't really any air leaks anywhere, or extensive damage done to the station (even though a competent engineering crew can fix the gist of explosion damage easily enough).
What exactly falls under competent engineering anyhow? I know that setting up a good power source is fairly important on that list, but do people who bother to repair extensive damage count as competent engineers, even if technically anyone in a suit could do that, or are they simply hard-working go-getters? (Because I got a story for that if you care to hear.) Basically, I was in a game where a bomb went off in the science and robotics wing on MetaStation. I think I was an assistant at the time... but well, I since I had a full set of tools _and_ insulated gloves (and heard one of the engineers saying they were going to go on strike after seeing the extent of the damage), I went to grab either an EVA suit, or an emergency space suit. If some of the engineers weren't going to fix the mess, I'd at least help try. Anyways, I went over to the blast site to help out... and during that time, I got to see all of the other engineers who were working super quick to try and repair the damage. It wasn't a small explosion either! The extend of the damage was so bad that the damage had spilled over to the lower half of the med wing too, and the entire screen as far as I could see was a complete wreck! The wiring system was gone, an entire department with equipment destroyed... there was a hole into space about 8 tiles wide, and I think a someone had to ask for a map because there's no way anybody could remember how the rooms looked... It was really such a shame (and a disappointment to both me and one of the engineers) that the captain didn't choose to recall, because by the time the shuttle arrived, we had already manage to seal the breach, and were starting to rebuild the walls... Honestly, so many games just feel like they ended a bit too early.
Only way the ending could've been better is if you had somehow met up with your old borer buddy on the shuttle instead of what I'm guessing is the perfect example of why the borers were removed.

surprised you didnt turn off the crushers belts to rescue the QM, would have made things easier, also i would have taken the QMs things such as his ID as well
It used to be possible to put chemicals into a gas form like you could put them into cannisters, but it turned out to be extremely OP and was removed after two rounds. You can still make smoke grenades with meth mixed into them though
Cyphosis I know this is an old video but now on goon station they've got fluids you may be able to fill a room with liquid meth. The admin said you could have liquid pizza so why not meth?
