Space Station 13 is a game that you're not going to understand unless you play. It's not a game you can learn by watching or reading, and it is a game you certainly won't master in your first day, week or month. Space station 13 is one of the most insane experiences of my life, a game that has occupied my time for over a decade now. Space station 13 is the roguelike of roguelikes for me, the most wonderful piece of human created madness, and certainly on equal footing with dwarf fortress in terms of sheer complexity. Please join in as I embark again, for just another day on space station 13.

On Citadel server, I often have a Zippo lighter.
None of my characters smoke. It's instead used to make caramel or hearty punch.
Having not watched any further from the 18 minute mark, I'd say he dies at around 25:00 to friendly fire. Probably soon after the person that shot him finished eating a box of crayons.

Checkers will knock himself unconscious 2 minutes after exiting the drop ship when he attempts to bring up his pistol but slams himself in the face with the attached stock. He will then die after an additional 5 minute struggle between the aliens and the countless Delta that throw themselves at the aliens piecemeal until one of them finally drops a grenade which kills Tex and the remaining 2 delta squad members that haven't been dragged off yet.

If you were actually paying attention, Checkers died at 14:33 to self-recriminations after ruining his revolver.

Eating 4 trays worth of MRE's and going into combat ain't the issue, its the 4 days later when your bowels are finally resurrected with a vengeance.
A mate of mine was on a patrol that got extended by another 2 weeks for a total of 6 ('02 afghanistan motor patrol company), 3 weeks in the resupply helo took too much fire to make the dropoff, so they had to raid a reserve cache a fellow patrol setup, it was nothing but MRE's. They tried eating at a couple friendly local villages but theres only so many mystery meat kebabs cooked over a diesel fire one can handle. When they got back to their FOB they ended up having to burn 4 portaloo's in the aftermath.

I at first didn’t really like Colonial Marines for being combat heavy vs the “create mutants in botany die from decompression because of an engineer bingeing MacGyver,” but watching more of Deltard has made me excited to go try it out. Gonna request fifty attachments, kill half my team and myself with a badly place plastic explosive.
