If anyone can come up with a better pun than the Tim Roth one, I'll gladly eat my hat. And I don't even own a hat, such is my confidence in this matter.
also reminds me a bit of the voice of the guy who sings "Big Balls" by AC/DC (sorry, I've forgotten his name...) clever Tim Minchin hilarity as always, nonetheless :)
Lament of the three toed sloth "Bradypodidae Bradypus" Lament of the two toed sloth "Megalonychidae Choloepus" Although similar to the somewhat larger and generally faster moving two-toed sloths, the two genera are not particularly closely related. Tim, Tim, Tim. Your usually so spot on. I don't really care, this is still probably one of the best songs ever.
There's nothing wrong with interpreting it that way, though that surely wasn't the original intention. Tim was asked to write a song about one of the deadly sins for each episode of Mark Watson Makes the World Substantially Better.
I have no idea who Mark Watson may be, but I think this song would have been much better had Tim been allowed to sing this song, rather than letting this wanker have at it. He has the kind of hypnotic sound that becomes instantly addictive.
This is one of my favourite songs by minchin...
He is so gifted with voices:) Is there anything he can't do???
What I learned from this is that Sid from ice age and Mort from family guy realy sound alike....
Ice Age the musical anybody?
He does sound a bit Sid-y
I could swear he sounds like Sid from Ice Age (the family favourite) here. First thing I thought of.
That's the idea...
+Annique Omg perfect!
this song still makes me cry with laughter
DAMN good lyrics! love this guy~
aaaw so sweet, never heard this one before :)
I love this x
as if i'm only just seeing this!
goa vay I’m Aussie, I’m a massive Tim fan, I’m a huge sloth fan and it’s 2019. I’m just seeing it.

wow i love it
great minds think alike
tnaaww he pronounces "sloth" half Australian half British, sooo cute
I'm a little disturbed by how much I relate to this song (such a good song though)
Awwwwww poor sloth, I can relate to it...
I really think so too :)
Awwwww😊💙
Love

Excellent! The piano music betrays nothing of the comedy in the lyrics. It's really a great tune.
This is Minchin singing? He sounds exactly like Cosmo Jarvis
wow he really does
:D no words needed XD
it is
yes thats exactly what i was thinking.
It is. You can hear that it's him at 2:25.
lol yeah right!! does sound like it!!
@sarkasmi83 try looking up the latin name for the family Sloth
Couldn't hear mort until I read your comment.
Tim's sloth voice sounds too much like the woman from ACDC's Big Balls. Ignoring this fact, this song is a riot. I love this man so much.
Oh, true.
Ya mean Mort? LOL! I must agree.
oh ok thanks :)
Aw :)
could you please tell me what this reference to 'Tim Roth isn't spelled with a w' is all about?
minestrone3 ‘Wrath’ is a deadly sin ;)
@kbcoolify From Shaman King??? :/
Lament of the three toed sloth "Bradypodidae Bradypus"
Lament of the two toed sloth "Megalonychidae Choloepus"

subgay it's Mark Watson's lyrics probably the reason
This is so Rich Fulcher singing!
...what does that mean he says around 01:00?
"Megalonicaedi Calipus" or something?
Sarcasm It's the latin word for sloth
hahahahahahahahahhaha.... he makes me LOL!
Wow, he does. I thought of sid but not the cousin
I feel so sorry for the sloth after listening to this!!! :(
There's nothing wrong with interpreting it that way, though that surely wasn't the original intention. Tim was asked to write a song about one of the deadly sins for each episode of Mark Watson Makes the World Substantially Better.
@ShinyPlatypus But that's a collective noun
@ShinyPlatypus oops, he said other animals on the ground....
megalonochite cholepus ftw!!!!
@sarkasmi83 ah, found the answer from the comments already.
yeah, as soon as i read the title... i though of FMA straight away!
lol, he sounds like Mort Goldmann :D
Could have been worse...he could have been a two-toed sloth ;=)
@ShinyPlatypus and that's not one of the seven deadly sins
Yeah I think he was looking for Bradypodidae Bradypus.
He'd have to rhyme it with something else though.
Why does Tim imagine sloths as speaking with the accents of Jewish New Yorkers?
I'm guessing it is similar to Sid the Sloth from Ice Age...if not, then that is a great question.
it reminds me of the homunculus from fullmetal alchemist
aww, poor sloth
that sounds exactly like sid from the ice age movies
are you sure that’s tim’s voice
this isnt tim minchin??!!
His voice here makes me think of the cousin from Kyle in South Park...
And Neil from Family Guy
he actually sounds kinda like sloth from Ice Age o_O
talk about depression.
mega lols
Wrath is a sin.
he sounds like a sloth!?
there is such a thing as a murder of crows...
sounds a bit like mort from of family guy
Poor, poor sloth.
@mindlessdrone1991 sing it each way, then tell me it matters lol
Lol, song of the sloths.
hes doing the voice deliberately!!!!!!!
hehe ^^' i wouldnt say it otherwise:L
Damn you Stoner Sloth!
+Nonofya Bidnez HAHAHAHAHAH! That... Is... The greatest comment EVER! I didn't even have that thought but omg that's fucking incredible!
and of course sloths are hairy!
lol obvious o.o don't take this bad :)
it reminds of the jew guy in family guy
yeah, i'd know it better than anyoneelse being jewish. cheers, mate!
i AM rather awesome i know :L
As both Jews & Sloths have unfortunate noses.
coz hes speaking all nazal and jewish people stereotypically new yorker jews do the same thing :p x sparkyy
That's not the point..
I have no idea who Mark Watson may be, but I think this song would have been much better had Tim been allowed to sing this song, rather than letting this wanker have at it.

+Susan Sisson Hi! Mark Watson wrote the song I believe and it's Tim singing it :)
Hope this helps
Lmao Tim's voice is just that versatile
Mark Watson is lovely, but this definitely wasn't him singing. This is Tim's singing and songwriting, as a regular guest spot on Mark's radio show.
@bboinnng He changed his voice up a bit to add interest and humor. Like in his song Dark Side, he starts playing with his voice to fit the mood :P
