MrCliffhanger44 yeah man. Like deadlifts getting programmed. Could blow out my back if I round my low back. Oh and walking to the gym. Could be hit by a car if I don’t do it right and look both ways crossing the parking lot. Lol
Wow, a pull over is high risk low reward??? is possibly one of the lowest grade movements used in gymnastics, its fundamental to teaching the circle movements on the high bar and uneven bars. ity teaches hollowing and lat strength for skills to come, its how a beginner one would get onto the bar. As for high risk, when learning the prerequisite movement to this is just a pull up, there is little in the movement which requires the athlete to put themselves into a potentially injurous position. as for reward, development of gymnastics skill and body awareness is seen as one of our core principles. I'm not going to get my grandad doing them unless he has a good number of pull-ups, but it's a pretty easy skill
CFitLiverpool For someone experienced in CrossFit this isn’t entirely difficult. For the overwhelming majority of people who do CrossFit this is not attainable and shouldn’t even be attempted. What benefit does this have over simply being good at pull-ups? I thought CrossFit is trying to keep people lifting for life, not scare them off by posting none sense like this
@@MrCliffhanger44 as stated above, we are going to be teaching this to people who already have a number of pull-ups, if you want to stick to simply doing pull ups then no harm done, they are a great. Since people want to do something with their strength however, develop new skills, learn to move their body in new ways. Introduce elements of coordination, as stated on CrossFit's 2 model of Fitness our aim is not just to develop strength and cardiovascular endurance but to keep a balance with the other 8 elements included in this model. Just want to say how awesome it is not to listen to 5 minutes of an explanation and just straight to the point! Bravo!
Agree!!!!!!!
How does grandpa do this in the living room?
Love this movement, only recently picked it up but doing 5-10 reps 💪🏻
If only these gymnastics movements were that easy! 😢
Sooooooooooooooooo good video. It can`t be better explained. Thanks so much!
Marines call this the “College Boy” roll as part of the Obstacle Course. Helps cut down your time if executed properly.
So it's like a bonus if you can execute it ?
Ummm why is this being posted during the open??? We better not be seeing this in the next workout! 😂 💪🏽😂
It's the scaled version of the bar muscle ups. 😁
Not last year it wasn’t! The scale to a muscle up for both men and women was a chin over bar pull up thankfully! Not this crazy thing! 😂
@@megandutton too bad, I'd go scaled for this. It's hilarious, reminds me of childhood playgrounds. 😀
Why can’t I find standards on this movement to save my life?
I use to do that when I was a kid...
Right?
it is corious how much ppl used to do it when was a child, I heard it many times
Great vid. Does anyone know the rig set up in this video. Which vertical uprights and horizontal pieces... Love Rogue
Can this count as a bar muscle up ?
No, in a bar muscle up, feet can't go higher than the pull up bar ^^
That was my question too 🤣 Darn about the feet
Here from 2023 games to see what the hell a pullover is
I’m sure we can all blame Alec Smith for this 😜😜😜
20.4 ?
M1keFury that’s exactly what i thought as well
@@910BMX Well now we have to hope that Castro thinks the same and we have almost a week to master our skills😆
Gotta love dangerous movements with a high risk low reward getting programmed

CFitLiverpool The movement just does not seem functional at all is what I’m saying. Like how does this have any carryover to normal life?
Wowwww exelente
Current struggle
Wow ez~~
Silly, plenty of less dangerous motions to workout the same muscle groups.
Oh come on. Really?
