I like the questions that sal is asking. It's very interactive learning. Learn by asking, not just listening. I can remember everything in the video because it was like holding a conversation, vs just listen to someone talk. Thank you Sal for reiterative, clarifying and asking questions.
I wish the presenter touched on the other hormones secreted by the pituitary gland such as Follicle stimulating hormone, oxytocin and antidiuretic. My current high school A+P classes are very in depth and hard to follow. I would like more detailed videos to help me study.
This is so helpful!!! All your viedos are!!! Thank you for taking the time to put these together. For ppl like me who is a soical worker by trade Bio is something I have to really study!!!! This is a amazing.
this is so helpful! :) thankew so much fr puting effort on this.. but ur effort is never a worthless bcz many of students lyk me are learning things very easily.. so appreciable thing! :) though interviewing is sum wat distracting.. i love this way of teaching.. thankeww so much..
Please Please Please more like this, limbic, brain, biochemistry. Im studying for the MCAT and watch almost every science video multiple times. LOVE YOU KAHN!!!
wireless signals, wow, amazing way of seeing it, never thought of it that way and never knew the pituary gland does that much, thank you fascinating stuff. I'm 27 and have finished university (college in american english), but I still have a hunger to learn and your videos are the perfect way, enteractive and stimulating, less hassle than picking up a book ;) and easier to follow. Thank you for what you're doing, it's an inspiration :)
CNA for 5 years, RN for another 5, currently working on my PMHNP, and am only just now learning that adrenal is ad(jacent to)renal. blew me away. Thanks, all!
Great video, thank you! Please make a video on the mechanisms of hormone action! Lipid-soluble and water-soluble. very complex and I haven't found any good videos covering this.
@zatoichi37 According to Sylvia S. Mader, "The thyroid gland is composed of a large number of follicles. Each follicle is a small spherical structure made of thyroid cells filled with triiodothyronine (t3), which contains three iodine atoms, and thyroxine (t4), which contains four." In Human Biology-12 ed.
NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP, NEVER GONNA LET YOU DOWN, NEVER GONNA RUN AROUND AND DESERT YOU! NEVER GONNA MAKE YOU CRY, NEVER GONNA SAY GOODBYE, NEVER GONNA TELL A LIE, AND HURT YOU!
Such a kool video. You sound like busy men and all but we need you to do a part two because the video audio, content and production are awesome and will help towards us passing our exams :D. "Hormones are like Wifi"
I love how Khan is acting like he's learning something from this guy but in his head he's like "actually, no you're wrong there" but he's saying "Wow, interesting!"
@b562r The pituitary gland is itself regulated by the hypothalamus, so in that sense the latter would be called the master master gland! :) It really depends, some people give the title to the pituitary gland whereas others prefer to give it to the hypothalamus. The important thing is that out of this "misunderstanding" you now know the relationship between the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus! Hope this made sense. :) - First semester medicine student.
Very nice! Will be waiting for the next video. I remember when studying for the MCAT it had broken up adrenal into ad + renal as explained in the video, and I was like, OMG how have I never noticed that before?! One of those "...duh" moments. Interestingly, most medical terms make sense if you take a moment and consider their etymology ;) Also helps in remembering them.
This is the 1st Khan Academy video I couldn't follow. I think that the guy asking questions was distracting to me. There was entirely too much going on in this one. I rather just listen to one person.
Rule of thumb: FLAT PiG = FSH, LH, ACTH, TSH & Prolactin and GH :)
Thanks!!!!!
@@waangkhana Glad if it could be of help :)
@@hummingnaqsha9377 correct, the ones released from the anterior portion. Oxytocin and ADH in the posterior.
i love khan university! this is making my essentials of a&p a lot easier! especially since it's all online without a lecture!
MLT student here!
I think him asking questions helped me to be clearer on the topic, thanks!!

Thank goodness Sal was explaining things too. The guy speaking was just like a textbook, while Sal put it in terms that one can understand.
LOVE the style of this, interview type thing
Your videos are fantastic! I have an A&P exam on thursday next week, and you are just making it so interesting to learn. Thank you so much :D
Neil Gazoontite?! Um, bless you?
DR G that’s the first thing that got me 😂😂AAACCHHOOO!

Hahahahaha 🏆
Great Video! Received some clarity from it for my nursing class! Thank you!
Unlike most people, I enjoyed the questions because then I found out even more information and some of the questions were ones I would ask!
I'm really enjoying your videos with the experts! Fascinating.
Thank you so much.

Thank you! More Nursing things like this, A&P, Bio, NCLEX and such, thanks!
Great Video. Upload the other part Sal! This is a great review for MCAT material and for everyone!

Even when i watch something i thought i know very well, i discover details i never knew.
Great presentation! I was able to grasp everything and learn a lot of new observations on ‘hormones’ and the endocrine defined beyond textbooks.
This kind of video is amazing
Please make more of this
Bless you

Nice teaching!
Thumbs up for AP Bio!
could you do more of these discussion style videos?
has there been a follow up video made for this?
Thank you Khan Academy for your videos. Please keep producing these videos :)
Part 2 PLEASE :))
I like the part when salman sir were asking questions. It would help me to ask the questions in the class. Rather than just taking in information.
HA, i was just looking for something on this topic yesterday! Great.
I love how Khan is acting like he's learning something from this guy but in his head he's like "actually, no you're wrong there" but he's saying "Wow, interesting!"
Superb!

More neurology please!!!
I LOVE IT! Thank you
medical students are perhaps the best etymologists you'll ever meet.
Thank you for the content! I learn more here than in my online classes 🙏🏽🙏🏽
You videos are amazing!
And that is what sets Standford Medical School apart kids. Glowing invisible crayons! Tight.
My gosh what does this channel not have?
excellent
COOL!
Government regulation and involvement in the economy should work like the endocrine system. Stimulus is similar to the root idea of hormone.
Physical Therapy students raise your voices!

Can you make your Hindi channel?
Which will be very very very helpful for Hindi medium students.
2 teachers and 1 student (get mixed up) in my personal opinion i think one should talk
Thumbs up for undergraduates!
Who are the authors? Mr. Sal Khan and another doctor ?
Ahhh my arch nemesis.... we meet again...
next video
of endocrine system?
Where is the next video??? what's it called?
This is the 1st Khan Academy video I couldn't follow.
I think that the guy asking questions was distracting to me.
There was entirely too much going on in this one.
I rather just listen to one person.
The guy asking questions was Kahn Himself! I've never before heard Sal Kahn be such a novice! It goes to show you that no-one knows it all.
u definetly right the guy asking him is annoying
Same thing
"Neil Gesundheit?" Bless you!
Adrenal Glands... make zerglings attack faster...
Where is part 2?
"Paracrinology"
This guy sounds like Dr. Luigi Gratton
WHERE IS THE 2ND PORTION OF THIS VIDEO?!?!?!
All hail crash course; and our books...
My textbook says the hypothalamus is called the master gland, not the pituitary. Focus on pharmacology Amy Karch
Exercise Physiologist checking in
what about endorphins and enkephlains?
yay
💖💖💖💖
How is he in medical school teaching us? I though he was a math professor.
"Neil Gesundheit"? At med-school? This can't be true.
...
...
Ok, looked him up. He really exists. :D
