This has been the BEST video explaining the thyroid. I was diagnosed woth hypothyroidism in January and not even my doctor has made this whole process make sense to me! The humor also helps from making this boring and makes it so things stick to my brain. Youre awesome! SUBSCRIBED!
Your videos are so holistic! I am finding them perfect for my research work. The kind of correlation you build in the subject was mostly needed for me to connect the links and i found that in your videos! Thanks a lot man and keep posting such amazing content 💕
It's so weird both Thyroxine 50mcg and 100mcg has symbol C at back sides which is hard for patients to check! One should be 25 while another should be 50 at the backs!
Great video as always. Just wanted to point out that at 12:43 & 13:07 you associated Goiter with Hyperthyroidism only. However, it is also a presentation in Hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Lithium intake, Iodine deficiency etc.)
you are absolutely hilarious xD i love your videos.. you make everything so much fun, thank you a lot!! i appreciate ur knowledge and ur sense of humor!
Superb. Unique; A three hour lecture in 15 minutes. Hyperneurosomething. If someone has hypothyroidism - did I spot a possible cause of male hyposexuality lurking in the undergrowth? Even a hint of it? There's another lecture....?
So am from just watching another video on Thyroid hormones nd i was soo not getting it Till I saw this Thank you mahnn You soo funny nd relatable 😅 God bless you
Thank you so much you're really amazing but I still didn't understand what's the relationship between thyroid stimulating hormone and hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism Why thyroid stimulating hormone increases in hypothyroidism and why thyroid stimulating hormones decreases in hyperthyroidism shouldn't it be the opposite?
usually for hyperthyroidism, you have a lot of t3 and t4 bc you have this anti-body acting like TSH like in graves disease, if it acts like TSH, it means it will give you a lot of t3 and y4 which causes negative feedback on pituitary so low you'll have low TSH in reality. hypothyroidism can be caused iodine deficiency so you can't form t3 and t4 so your body keeps releasing TSH hence you have low t3 and t4 but high TSH in hypothyroidism or it can be caused by some antibody now destroying your thyroid gland so not enough t3 and t4 so again high amount of TSH
Hey Medicosis why there is diarrhoea in hyperthyroidism because if it stimulates sympathetic then sphincter tone would be very high so it should induce constipation rather than diarrhoea?? @medicosisPerfectionalis

It’s because hyperthyroidism stimulates gastrointestinal motility.

For hypothyroidism shouldn't the TSH levels be high ? Correct me if I'm wrong.
So should the TRH
It depends on whether it’s primary, secondary, or tertiary hypothydroidism.
Can u please brief me up with that.
Great !!!
