*Thyroid hormones* are essential hormones produced by the * thyroid gland* , which is located in the front of the neck. They play a critical role in *regulating metabolism* , *growth* , and *development* . The *two main thyroid hormones* are: Thyroxine (T4) and Triiodothyronine (T3).
Im a pre nursing major, do you think you can make more videos of the systems? I know you have one on the anatomy of the skeleton, but can you do more such as muscular system, digestive etc. These videos are so amazing and helpful, I love that we can access notes to thank you!!
i have hashimoto’s disease (hypothyroidism) i take 1/2 of a 75mg pill of Levothyroxine (synthroid). (so 37.5mg) My condition is considered mild but it makes me feel fatigued all the time even with good sleep, which is hard while you are still growing. I haven’t ever noticed any goiter but my condition was caught pretty early by my amazing endocrinologist so i guess i just got lucky. I will take this medication for the rest of my life to keep my body working properly. forgot to note that it is NOT always in older patients!! I was 11 when i was diagnosed and i’m 18 now. It’s uncommon but definitely possible!! Good luck to anyone studying i hope i could provide insight!! If anyone has any questions i would love to answer them!!

Take Synthoid for life.
You can take levothyroxine (synthroid) if you have hypothyroidism. This is called hormone replacement therapy.
