I’m terrible wth hair but got use to using a straightener to do waves, I also have a beachwaver but find it doesn’t hold the curl well in my hair. I went to Zara and H&M in Melbourne Australia for the first time yesterday. I bought a blazer from H&M with the gathered sleeves and long black faux suede coat from Zara, happy with both pieces. You always look beautiful as well as have a classic, natural style. Personally I think nothing ages a women more then trying too hard to look young. Finding a great cut for your type of hair ( mine is thin, fine & white/silver) When I stopped coloring my hair she thanked me! I won’t buy throw away clothing & purchase most of mine second hand or in thrift stores ( tons in the U.S.)

Melissa, I have to concur with everyone here. I LOVE your channel. I’m so happy I found it. You are so adorable and beautiful to watch. Your authenticity truly shines and I love that you have a “Maverick” … I’m a little jealous haha. I did think it was funny that people asked what your husband does and looks like and agree that you don’t have to share, but was fun that you did. You two make a gorgeous couple. I think when you have an audience that continues to watch, it does feel like a friendship in an odd way and people just get curious.
Anyway, thanks so much for all the great advice!! It really helps as a petite woman (5’) so you can imagine how I feel! I wish I’d known the elongating tips when I was in my 30s, but oh well better later than never!

It is. I almost wish that I didn’t use one so I could’ve recommended a cheaper version but it is what I use so that’s why I showed! Any hairdryer will dry your hair though!
I really liked seeing you do your hair because I have always thought it looked very nice in your videos but I didn't think it would be so easy to do! My mom has natural tight curls so she never taught me much about styling hair (mine is straight) and with 3 toddlers I don't have time to be fussy. If I section my hair and curl it I literally spend 45 minutes (thick hair), and that's if I don't have interruptions, which doesn't happen with small children!
I get it! I do mine at night once the children are in bed then when I wake up the next day the curls are even nicer as they've dropped at little. x

Thank you but the reality is that my camera has a smooth skin setting on! I do only set it to mild, on high I look like I’ve had tons of Botox (which for the record I’ve never had anything done). So don’t be fooled by camera settings and good lightening, I don’t look like that in real life!!! But, to answer your question I use fake tan then a foundation by Kevyn Aucoin (I think that’s how you spell it) x
You are so great Melissa! I just received the pointy toe black Vivaia boots! Used your code and saved $32! I’m totally surprised that I put them on and they are so comfortable and perfect fit. I’m shocked because footwear is very hard for me to fit or feel comfortable in. Can you suggest some videos where it shows how to style them? I still do wear skinny jeans and wondering if I can style them with them? Pear shaped and shorter legs and larger thighs but long torso and smaller waist. I’m your height and weigh a little bit more than you.

Fab video, if you do a jeans video would you be able to do some affordable jeans? My budget is in the H&M, Zara, next And M&S range. Also being pear shaped I find I get a gap at the back by the time they fit round my hips, any tips for this would be great.

I use an elastic band to keep them in place which means i'm not constantly pushing them up all the time. Have a look at my Styling Tips video, there's lots of tips like that in there!
Thank you so much for great content. I'd love to see a video about the worst possible body type, namely my body. Short, apple type, no waist, broad shoulders, big breasts, long back and short, thick legs. I'm not even that overweight, 5ft 2in and 10.7 stone, but I never look good in anything.

Hi Melissa please can I ask two questions if i am quick. The first is what are the best shoes to wear with a bootcut jean in the winter or when sandals are a no no?
And secondly what style of a wool coat do you recommend for a mostly casual look please for example with leggings and jeans. Thank you so much , always appreciate your videos.
No problem; shoes…it depends whether you need the height or not. I have to wear my boot cut jeans long so I gain the extra leg length which often means I’m in a short cowboy boot or similar. Or, I cut my jeans to the right length of my platform converse. Wool coat - a neutral or navy coat, longline, single or double breasted. I linked a really nice on in my last video x

I will spell out phonetically how to say Jose Eber’s name like he says it. He was a famous hairstylist in the US, from France, who used to say “shake your head darling” when he was done! Josay Ebear…with the emphasis on the “ bear” .

It refers to women who a) don’t look like models and b) live very ‘normal’ lives as opposed to women who may holiday for a living, party all the time. I’m sure you know the difference….most of us are run ragged and have little time for ourselves because of lifestyle demands.
It's actually (Josay Ebear). Phonetically spelled. He was a famous hair stylist in the 90's. He was terrible at cutting, but he could style anything!! Even his own cuts. He styled many famous actresses. He set himself apart by not pronouncing Jose the normal way.
