I am so proud of myself. I bought an midi oversized sweater dress with the collar and open neck. Not that flattering when I tried a belt and ankle boots. I tried a statement necklace and knee-high stocking boots from Vivaia. The sock boots made my legs a uniform color with a slim ankle. The statement necklace drew attention up to my slim neck. 100% more wearable! Thanks.
Well done Julie - that sounds like you did all the right things, brilliant! It makes such a difference when you think about styling the whole outfit and not just thinking about one of the pieces. I'm sure you'll look fabulous x
Oh Melissa, I really hope you see this comment. I've become so much more confident in my appearance and enjoying clothes again. Have I lost weight?.. no... Have I had cosmetic surgery?...no. I discovered your wonderful channel! One of the biggest things for me has been shoulder pads....what a game changer. I've had people complimenting me at work and all that's changed is, I have shoulder pads. 😱😁👌🏼 Thank you for all the hard work you put in to making this fabulous channel. I wish you and your family (including the star of the show, Monty😂🥰) a wonderful Christmas and all good things in the coming new year. 🎉🎄🎁⛄💕
Your comment has made my night, thank you so much for sharing. I’m so glad that something so simple has impacted you, it’s brilliant to hear and more often than not it’s these simple adjustments that make all the difference. Merry Christmas to you xx
Your discussion about jumpsuits and the loo is hilarious and totally accurate! Always love your content - I've made many wardrobe adjustments based on your styling tips. Thank you so much!!
Such helpful styling tips like rolling up the bottom of your pants to expose the ankles and wearing a t-shirt under a jogging suit and let it show to break up the 2 pieces. I just love your videos Melissa. Thank you.
Wonderful! Full of great ideas and tips again Melissa. Loved the green jumpsuit and mostly everything else too. I struggle to find matching tracksuits that have a V neckline or are zipped. Round necklines make me look larger over the bust and frumpy. Why don't enough manufacturers make V or slashed necklines😠.
Right now you’re lucky as v necks with zips are everywhere ( and you’re right, it’s often not the case). Try varley and sweaty Betty for a premium priced option and boohoo for a more affordable option. Or, just type in google half zip sweater and matching joggers’ and quite a few come up. Hope that helps x
@@mmpersonalstyling Melissa, thanks for your response and for your recommendations of shops. I'm here in Las Vegas and was unaware of a couple of those!
I like the idea of these luxury fabrics, but I hate hand washing. I’m on the hunt for at easy wash home outfits that I could wear outside to run errands without just wearing gym clothes.
I wanted this video to go on for longer, love watching your outfits and styling tips, as always Melissa! I’m hoping The White Company have a sale in the new year so I can treat myself 👌☺️ looking forward to seeing you & Clare in the shops! 💕
Hi Melissa. These outfits look fab. Just a top tip - I wear a LOT of dungarees and jumpsuits. If I go to the loo my advice is to roll the jumpsuit down to your waist, then pull it down like trousers. This makes things a lot easier. X
Thanks for the tip! I'll have to try it out, to see how well it works. I personally have found jumpsuits to be annoying, inconvenient, & borderline unsanitary because of how far you have to pull them down to use the restroom/bathroom. If this tip works, perhaps I'll wear them. Thanks!
So close! But Clare and I are meeting in the shops tomorrow then we're meeting the rest of the team for our Christmas lunch so we thought we may as well film it whilst we're there! So hopefully one more to come before Christmas. x
Thank you so much.I love your style, in the begining your style was more for e eryday style , but now it is becoming more expensive and not everyday for most of people,Lily silk is too expensive for most of people.
90% of my videos are H&M, mango, Zara type of prices but many of my audience also wants to see higher quality pieces so please be aware that I’m trying to satisfy thousands of people at the same time so if the very odd video is not in your price range then I’m more than happy for you to skip that video and wait for the other 90% that will be. Hope you understand x
I usually do normal high street prices (H&M etc) but I have many people watching who ask for higher quality so I try and put the odd one in there. I’m filming in the shops with Clare tomorrow so it’ll be back to normal next week!
Thanks for the video. Some really beautiful items, love to get the styling tips so simple but effective. Out of my price range but nice to window shop! Maybe one day xx
It’s an old coat of mine from Zara but everywhere is now doing them. Simply type in white teddy cost. This one from ASOS has just come up which is identical www.asos.com/prd/203092957?acquisitionsource=pasteboard
Great video again with excellent tips! I recently just bought a jumpsuit similar to your Lily Silk and couldn’t figure out why I felt frumpy - I need to roll up the legs!! Your other tips regarding buying both the top and matching also very relatable. I really look forward to your videos… I continue to learn from you with every single video - you are the best!
Hi Melissa! Enjoyed your video as usual! I am looking for a coords lounge set which you said you would link but I can’t seem to find that link. I love the Lillysilk one & the Anine Bing also but there a little out of my price range . Appreciate your help with this. Thank you Melissa ❤️❤️
Hi Melissa another great video..nothing worse than the door bell ringing and having to hide or change clothes. Everything looks absolutely beautiful on you. The cashmere set was my favorite .
I’d like a cashmere set but because knitwear cannot be hemmed it sure wouldn’t work for me at only 5’3” but I need a size large or XL. A more ‘sustainable’. Brand with natural fabrics/ materials in petite sizing would be a dream.
Everything is linked for you. Just look under the title of the video, usually you have to click on the 'more' button and it will take you straight to everything that you see in the video. x
Luv the cashmere set. Unfortunately, Lilysilk doesn't make petite sizing. In fact, most brands who do these cashmere sets don't. Sad cuz I would love one. Anyone know who does?😭
I love your trick of layering long sleeves under pushed up sleeves when it's cooler out. Is there an equivalent for when it's too cold to have bare feet/ankles?
When you mentioned a "neutral shoe" do you mean a shoe in a nude colour? Do you have videos where you style dresses and other outfits with black shoes? As well, do you have any videos on wearing pantyhose with evening dresses? I would love to know when a sheer black stocking can or can't be worn to a cocktail attire event or if we should always stick to skin colour sheer. I would also like to know if it is ok to wear sheer pantyhose with an open toe shoe in the winter to an evening affair, or should we look for a closed to sling back instead? I have been having so much trouble fitting into evening dresses because my bum sticks out too much or my lumps and bumps show. i'm a pear shape and I'm a youthful 61 year old who is often forced to buy shoes and dresses that wouldn't be my first choice, but they are the only styles that actually fit my body and don't hurt my feet. Shapewear helps some areas, but then causes issues in other areas and it is super uncomfortable.
A neutral shoe can be just a lighter toned shoe - light grey, beige, sand etc. No, we don't have any videos of wearing pantyhoes with dresses but if you watch any of our party dressing videos they will show you a more modern way of dressing for special evenings. It sounds like you have some very specific requirements so this is where a 1:1 session would be better for you. All the details are on our website at www.mmpersonalstyling.co.uk and we style people all over the world. x
Hi Melissa, Thank you for replying back to me. You are correct in saying that a styling session would be helpful. Currently on the Gina Livy weight loss program just trying to shed some lingering Covid weight, but a future stying session with you is on my list. Thank you for all of your fabulous videos and I am certainly learning a lot and thinking about body shape and the stying process in a new way, thanks to you! @@mmpersonalstyling

Really like how you dressed up the fair isle sweater.
Thank you Melissa….such great ideas and advise….I’d love to see these same looks done on a budget ….if possible ❤️
Great idea!
Maybe Melissa could do a video with Claire where one of them wears high end and the other wears similar from the high street so we get both prices.

Very helpful. You did not show any robes. As beautiful as the silk pj's are, I need more warmth when I head to the kitchen to get coffee going.
Simply wear a robe over the top then or, I tend to wear a jumper over the top of mine...

Wearing ankle sock boots that cover the ankle area work well as you can hide thick socks underneath x

How long does it take for delivery with Lilly silk as they are based overseas?
It depends on what country you're in. My stuff took about 5 days but you're best to check their website...
@@mmpersonalstyling thank you
Great video ❤
Thanks for the visit
Wow here in Sweden is winter so this kind of shoes outside doesn,t work here 😮
If I show a slipper then change if for an Ugg boot, if I show a heel shoe change it for a heeled boot - there’s always a warmer equivalent.
Lily silk doesn’t have larger sizes😢
😢
Yes overall nice but the problem when you want to use Toilette its annoying!!
I wear them so much that I don't find it to be an issue!
I want to be you 😂❤
Me too

Need socks for lounging here. Bare ankles and feet look cute in the summer. Burrrr
add some cute slipper socks..
