I’m just adding another comment about your channel. What I love about you is that you stick with affordable pieces. So many fashion vloggers start out styling budget-friendly pieces mixed with a few higher-end or luxury items. However, as their subscribers grow, they slowly become luxury channels with $2,500 Balmain blazers and Chanel bags. I enjoy watching them, but it’s hard to relate to someone who has $100,000 worth of handbags on their shelves. 😏
Couldn't agree with you more. Can't believe the wealth of some of these young people on RUclips.... it's sometimes a bit obscene, especially just now with the rising cost of living.
Can’t imagine life without you now Melissa…. I learn so much from your videos and love how you reuse items and dress according to the weather - great transitional wardrobe and the loving H&M pieces, look way more expensive (but then it’s how you accessorise it 😜). Thanks again xx
Great ideas! A way to extend the wear for a maxi dress, especially if it is light cotton, is to wear a slip underneath for an extra layer and additional warmth.
Hi Susan- just thinking with all the lovely maxi and tiered skirts we have seen lately it is only a matter of time before the fashion returns where we show off the long petticoats dipping just below the dress hems- a great way to extend the wear of lovely white summer skirts xx
Thank you Melissa. This was the exact video I needed today. Your advice and styling suggestions for transitioning into the Autumn were spot on as usual. I actually watched some of your videos from last year over the weekend as I started to swap over my wardrobe for the Autumn. I am trying not to buy too many pieces with rising energy prices but to make the clothes that I have in my wardrobe work for me throughout the changing seasons. Some wonderful ideas and suggestions ✨❤️
Thank you so much for your videos, Melissa. I really felt stuck in a rut clothing-wise (and generally!) after having a baby and then lockdowns and a lifestyle change ... discovering your videos has really helped me gain the confidence to try new pieces and enjoy clothes more. I bought the Whistles jumpsuit you show in this video, something I'd never have done before, and I absolutely love it! Thank you again, Kate
I would never have thought to wear a sweater over a maxi dress. It looks great, I'm definitely trying it. Thank God for you and your talent, I never realised how clueless I am when it comes to this stuff. Why was I born without style! 😂 Not to worry, you're here to save the day. 👏💕
I always look forward to your videos Melissa & this one didn’t disappoint either . I love all of the items you chose, really practical advice. I adore the MV locket & I agree jewellery always completes any outfit. Thank you so much x
Hi Melissa. I love the suggestion of putting a jumper over a summer dress and adding boots. Genius 👍🏻😊. I just can’t get enough of your ideas and insight. ❤️
I could watch your videos all day! Each time I get some more ideas on how to wear different items. I loved the loungewear set, definitely on my list! And that jumpsuit is gorgeous, thanks Melissa! 🍂☺️💕 xx
Totally agree on jewellery, they really give even basic clothing in neutral colours more personality. Your channel is really positive and helpful Melissa x
Hi Melissa, I love your videos, so helpful! I wondered if you’d be doing anything on an autumn/winter capsule? I really feel like I need to start from scratch with my wardrobe and would love to know the pieces you’d recommend as essentials for the coming season.
Luv your videos I would luv to have some videos on wideleg pleated trousers I love them but find them really hard to style as I have no waist definition 🥰🥰
If you don’t have a waist then I’d avoid them. They only work well when you can show off a smaller waist in comparison to the flared leg. If that’s not the case then avoid that style x
LOVED this! I'm so excited to see more fall styling videos. I would love to see some more black leather jacket stylings as well! That was very striking and edgy!
I wish I had you here! I have old clothes and new ones but seem to never know what to wear! I don't layer well and my shape is problematic. I have learn a lot from watching you. Thank you!
Never thought to do some of your wardrobe combinations. Very creative! I notice you called that dark sweater early in the video," khaki" like the trench coat in that video. It is interesting, too, that some of the garments are called different names than I am used to. I'm glad you have good video with your audio.
And, another great video from you Melissa, no surprise there :) I love that you keep it practical and casual, some other youtubers dress as if they had an important meeting with their boss every day! I have that type of summer dress and I wouldn't have thought of wearing it with a thick jumper over it. I'll definitely try it. Also, this year and thanks to your advice I've done something I never did before which is buying my atumn/winter clothes in the summer sales and I'm really happy with my purchases actually. I bought 4 hooded jumpers and 4 knitted joggers to mix and match and 4 thin cotton jumpers in neutral colours at 12,99 € each! I'm becoming one of your best pupils! :)) I'm sure I'll wear these things a lot during the a/w months. Thanks so much for your inspiration.
@@mmpersonalstyling Hi! Thanks for your comment! Now that we are adapting our wardrobes to the new season I'd love to watch a video from you about how you declutter, when you decide to get rid of your clothes and why and also another one about how you take care of your clothes for them to last longer. I got really surprised when you said that you prefer not to buy 100% cashmere jumpers because they bubble up quickly. Nobody tells you that! We need you to enlighten us :)
I have looked at the quilted jackets but didn't try on as didn't know how to style them. After your video I think I can approach them with more confidence. 👍
Very useful video, thank you, especially the first part showing how to get the most out of a summer dress etc. I'm inclined to pack away items like that as soon as it gets a bit cold but I will try wearing them with jumpers and coats this autumn.
Great video as always Melissa. Thank you so much for the MV code. These are truly timeless pieces when you calculate the amount of money spent on temporary accessories that wear out over time.
If I could hit that thumbs up button a hundred times I would great advice yet again 💐 jumpers are a bit if a dread for me with being big chested feel huge xx
That’s incredibly nice of you to say and lovely for me to read (and yes this is Melissa here and yes I read every single one of the comments) so a big thank you back from me! Go for thinner jumpers and layer with a longer cardigan or longer coat, this will create a vertical split line across your chest. Go for round neck, square neck, open neck - anything that shows your neckline and reduces the bust area xx 😘
@@mmpersonalstyling Thank you I’ve bought the v neck jumper dress and just purchased a square neck thinner jumper from and other stories so hopefully they look ok 💐💐💐💐
I really appreciate your content. I just can't get enough! I would really like to see a video of suggestions for assessing correct fit of clothing! I (and I'm sure many of us) tend to buy in a certain size without really examining the fit of the garments. Off the rack clothing can be such a challenge for those of us who are not sample-size! 😄
Thank you!!! Watched twice and took screen shots. Going through my things now for light colored knits. I have a lovely light western inspired boot like your tan ones and usually save for spring. Bringing them out! Great ideas , I usually feel very off in my dressing this time of year. Very helpful ❤️
Thanks for all your inspo and hard work Melissa. I am heading off on my travels very soon and the temperatures will be late summer/early autumn. I am delighted that the styles I had in mind are similar to yours! Thanks for boosting my confidence. Very best wishes xx
Thank you for talking about the importance of accessories. Prior to coming across your channel I had not given it much thought. I went ahead and purchased the pebble locket necklace from Monica Vinedar. I love it!! ❤️ I'm making my next selection soon.
I love your channel and content, thank you for all your advice. I was wondering if you could make a video of how to look chic in the autumn rain? It's been raining a lot here in England! So hard to find practical footwear that looks good and is waterproof for autumn.
A Trench coat video is going live this sunday at 12 noon. I've concentrated on the coats, not the styling but i will be styling them up in future videos.
Love the whistle jumpsuit but I really struggle with styling jumpsuits with anything other than flip flops. A how to style a jumpsuit for Autumn/winter would be great!
Hi i just watched a recommended video from about 3 years ago? about the barrel tummy/apple, i thought you would no longer be on youtube i am so happy i have found you and look forward to watching through a lot of your videos. Subscribed and bell clicked
Loved your transitional video, very informative with lots of practical ideas. I also watched previous transitional videos for tips and ideas when moving into Autumn. Love the jumper dresses from H&M. Looking forward to the trench video xx
Hi Melissa you are gifted at your job xxx love your style so much . Similar to mine but you always make me think different ways to use bits I have already. Thank you so much
Thanks for the advice Melissa love your videos and i am always excited when i see you have done an upload. Please keep them coming, i really appreciate them. Always put your advice into practice and it works. Thanks again 😍
I love your videos -I go shopping with more confidence now - this video is practical for Sydney’s weather atm - it shd be spring but it’s on the cooler side atm
Fabulous video as usual, Melissa. Perfect timing for fall weather here in the Vancouver area. I've definitely been spreading the word about you to friends and family. 🥰
Have a look at episodes 7, 8 and 9 of the body shape master class series they all show tops on ladies with larger busts. Click on my logo then select the 'video' tab and you'll see all of my videos in one place.
As always, thanks for your helpful videos! Could you give us some tips on how to wear scarves in a stylish way? my neck always gets cold but i'm not always sure how to pull it off...thanks!
Hi Melissa, could you please suggest what colour shoes, bag to wear with the whistles jumpsuit in this video which I bought a few weeks ago. Have a special night out soon and would like to wear it. I have dragged every pair of shoes out of my cupboard but not sure of any of them. Am same height as you and like heels.
You could go for a bright orange/red (the colour of this season) or a bright pink or green - something that will really make it pop or, if that’s too out there for you then navy or neutral. Enjoy your event!
Great video with good helpful ideas. You look good in almost everything, except those tight, cream and white hipster tight jeans. Even you look slimmer and taller in the loose fitting trousers from Zara.
I absolutely LOVE your channel!! Thank you for sharing such amazing information! I am working to revamp my whole closet after watching several of your videos about “capsule wardrobes”. Incredible information which I had never known about, it’s the mix and match aspect of the capsules. Just brilliant. Curious if you’re planning a Autumn/Fall capsule video?
Loved your video, lots of ideas for the autumn. And I will just add a comment about a blue and white Zara dress you had on in one of your spring videos. I bought it, and I have had so many comments about how lovely it is 🤗😘🇩🇰
Thank you Melissa for your RUclips videos. I have learnt so much. Please can I ask a question? I am 65 and was wondering if a biker jacket would look too young on me. I am slim and active but don’t want to look like ‘mutton dressed like lamb’ Many thanks Sonia
Love the videos and the shopping recommendations. Perhaps in a future video, could you share style tips for those of us with heavy thighs? (Some of the pear shapes featured have thinner legs.) Would appreciate seeing something for those of us with short, heavy legs. Thank you!
Love love the jumpers but i have too many hot flashes to wear them 🤣 What can i wear instead? And you are right about the jewelry, i always have mine on 😍
Dear Melissa! Thank you for your videos. They are very good and you are great. I have a question however. According to color theory I am a "summer type". So by those rules, I am not allowed to wear gold juwelry and anything in beige. They always tell you to just wear the same clothes in your colors, but I feel like a different color has a completely different effect. For example, grey clothes are less summery than beige ones and silver juwelrey is way more unobtrusive than gold juwelry. What should I do? Also can you please make more videos for women with wide shoulders? I feel like you often say that a dress you are wearing is great for everyone but women with wide shoulders... Thanks again!
I think I have similar colouring to you. I don't own anything beige or brown because I always feel washed out in those colours, so stopped buying them years ago, even though I've never had a colour analysis. I am now on the hunt for a trench coat and I've noticed that neutral trench coats range from a very tan colour to a more grey toned stone colour, so I'm avoiding the very tan coloured ones. I've been eyeing off the M&S recycled trench coat in 'stone', but it's out of stock at the moment. Regarding jewellery, I've found that delicate yellow gold pieces look fine with my skin tone, but not chunky gold pieces with a very strong yellow tone. I also like rose gold, the tone can vary between brands but generally it seems to work better for my cool skin tone.

LOVED this! I'm so excited to see more fall styling videos. I would love to see some more black leather jacket stylings as well! That was very striking and edgy!
Loved the jumper dresses and boots, great video
I wish I had you here! I have old clothes and new ones but seem to never know what to wear! I don't layer well and my shape is problematic. I have learn a lot from watching you. Thank you!
You're welcome. We do 1:1 online styling for people all over the world if that helps? All the details are on my website www.mmpersonalstyling.co.uk
As someone who never wears jewellery I took your advice and used your code to treat myself!!
I hope you love them xx 😘
I love your style!
Thanks for a great video. Just what I needed. Love from Norway ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Fabulous ideas. I love the way you make it so easy and affordable to look great.
Thanks so much! 😊
Well done, you are a good pupil! I'm glad it's saved you some money and made you look good at the same time - double bonus! Thanks for watching x
I'm so glad!
Lovely video Melissa. I especially loved the striped sweaters in The White Company. Your jewellery looks lovely. 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Very useful video, thank you, especially the first part showing how to get the most out of a summer dress etc. I'm inclined to pack away items like that as soon as it gets a bit cold but I will try wearing them with jumpers and coats this autumn.
Go for it! X
Great video as always Melissa. Thank you so much for the MV code. These are truly timeless pieces when you calculate the amount of money spent on temporary accessories that wear out over time.
Lots of great tips ,realise there’s a gap in my wardrobe for some light neutral boots! Loved all the white company clothes
They’re gorgeous aren’t they!
Great suggestion!
Thank you!!! Watched twice and took screen shots. Going through my things now for light colored knits. I have a lovely light western inspired boot like your tan ones and usually save for spring. Bringing them out! Great ideas , I usually feel very off in my dressing this time of year. Very helpful ❤️
Just ordered bracelet from Monica Vinader. Thank you for your inspiration 🧚♂️
Hope you like it!
Thanks for all your inspo and hard work Melissa. I am heading off on my travels very soon and the temperatures will be late summer/early autumn. I am delighted that the styles I had in mind are similar to yours! Thanks for boosting my confidence. Very best wishes xx
Have a wonderful time. I'm off to Corfu myself in a couple of weeks too - I can't wait x
Thank you for the video. I never really bought winter whites but will consider those colors now that I know how to style them
Wonderful!
Lovely pieces Melissa, thank you for a great video xx Barbara
So many good ideas and I love the cream poloneck you're wearing with the summer dress 🤩
Great video! Definitely needed this to help with summer/autumn transition. Your videos never disappoint. Am always excited for the next one! x
Thank you for talking about the importance of accessories. Prior to coming across your channel I had not given it much thought. I went ahead and purchased the pebble locket necklace from Monica Vinedar. I love it!! ❤️ I'm making my next selection soon.
My pleasure, glad you like it. x
Great video and very helpful styling tips. Thank you very much and please keep up the good work.❤
I love your channel and content, thank you for all your advice.
I think this was your best video ever! 😊. Love your channel. Always good content! Thank you Melissa❤️
Thank you so much! X
Love the whistle jumpsuit but I really struggle with styling jumpsuits with anything other than flip flops. A how to style a jumpsuit for Autumn/winter would be great!
I would love to see a video for a medium petite hourglass figure for styling! Thanks for your videos!!
If someone like that volunteers then i'll use them but unfortunately i'm restricted by who actually volunteers. x
Beautiful hammered metal pieces.
U are a style inspiration to me!! Love everything u put together!! 🥰🙏🏻
Thank you, that's incredibly nice of you to say so. x
Love your ribbed cardigan I like using cardigans as a top
Love this style of video 😀
Hi i just watched a recommended video from about 3 years ago? about the barrel tummy/apple, i thought you would no longer be on youtube i am so happy i have found you and look forward to watching through a lot of your videos. Subscribed and bell clicked
Thank you! Yes, I'm still very much here!! x
Great outfit ideas. Thank you Melissa.
Loved your transitional video, very informative with lots of practical ideas. I also watched previous transitional videos for tips and ideas when moving into Autumn. Love the jumper dresses from H&M. Looking forward to the trench video xx
It’s going live on Sunday at 12 noon uk time.
Hi thanks so much for the good advice. I hope I learn what I need to learn. Which sneakers are in this video - they have a V on the side.
Veja trainers, they’re linked in the description box (uk links) or the comments box for the US links.
I love your style... It's fresh and innovative... 👏 👏 👏
Hi Melissa you are gifted at your job xxx love your style so much . Similar to mine but you always make me think different ways to use bits I have already. Thank you so much
You’re very welcome x
Thanks for the advice Melissa love your videos and i am always excited when i see you have done an upload. Please keep them coming, i really appreciate them. Always put your advice into practice and it works. Thanks again 😍
You are so welcome!
I love your videos -I go shopping with more confidence now - this video is practical for Sydney’s weather atm - it shd be spring but it’s on the cooler side atm
Clicked like before I even watched it, because I know I'll love your advice as always! Thank you 😊 💓
That's very nice, thank you x
Fabulous video as usual, Melissa. Perfect timing for fall weather here in the Vancouver area. I've definitely been spreading the word about you to friends and family. 🥰
Please do! Thanks for sharing x
You always look stunning in everything!
Remember I’ve got studio lightening and a filter on my camera that helps to smooth skin - you should see me without those two things 😂😂😂
Loved this xx definitely going to incorporate some of these ideas into my wardrobe now just have to find a day to shop xxxx🐰🐰🐰xxx
I really enjoy your videos; thank you for the ideas.
I’m not overweight but have a larger bust. What kind of sweater (sweaters) is complimentary. Thanking you in advance.
Have a look at episodes 7, 8 and 9 of the body shape master class series they all show tops on ladies with larger busts. Click on my logo then select the 'video' tab and you'll see all of my videos in one place.
Such a helpful video for autumn inspiration xxx
As always, thanks for your helpful videos! Could you give us some tips on how to wear scarves in a stylish way? my neck always gets cold but i'm not always sure how to pull it off...thanks!
Fabulous again Melissa !
Bought the jumpsuit as recommended - lush !
Great selections ❤️ thank you ❤️
Glad you like them!
Awesome ideas for the transition!
For a few years now, I feel like I have lost my sens of style. Thank you for your videos, they are very good source of ideas.
Very useful video Melissa. Looking forward to seeing the trench coat video.
They’ve just started to arrive - I think there’s 10 for me to compare and a really wide selection of styles x
Thank you so much for this video!
Really great ideas to transition into fall. Love your videos! Thank you! 😘
You are so welcome!
Great video with good helpful ideas. You look good in almost everything, except those tight, cream and white hipster tight jeans. Even you look slimmer and taller in the loose fitting trousers from Zara.
Absolutely love your ideas 😊
I absolutely LOVE your channel!! Thank you for sharing such amazing information! I am working to revamp my whole closet after watching several of your videos about “capsule wardrobes”. Incredible information which I had never known about, it’s the mix and match aspect of the capsules. Just brilliant. Curious if you’re planning a Autumn/Fall capsule video?
Yes, It went up yesterday!
Loved your video, lots of ideas for the autumn. And I will just add a comment about a blue and white Zara dress you had on in one of your spring videos. I bought it, and I have had so many comments about how lovely it is 🤗😘🇩🇰
Oh good, glad it worked out well for you x
Thank you Melissa for your RUclips videos. I have learnt so much. Please can I ask a question? I am 65 and was wondering if a biker jacket would look too young on me. I am slim and active but don’t want to look like ‘mutton dressed like lamb’
Many thanks Sonia
As long as you pair it with the right things then I’d say go for it! X
Great job Melissa ❤️
Really enjoyed this, thank you ❤️
Love the videos and the shopping recommendations. Perhaps in a future video, could you share style tips for those of us with heavy thighs? (Some of the pear shapes featured have thinner legs.) Would appreciate seeing something for those of us with short, heavy legs. Thank you!
Have a look at episode 6 of the body shape master class.... x
@@mmpersonalstyling Thank you! Will do.
Great video,lots of tips,thank you
Love love the jumpers but i have too many hot flashes to wear them 🤣
What can i wear instead?
And you are right about the jewelry, i always have mine on 😍
Try long cardigans instead - any layering pieces basically so you can whip it off quickly when the hot flushes come along x
Loved the video and all the great ideas!! Thank you
Just the video I needed today Melissa, thank you. X
You are so welcome!
A trench coat special (where I show 15 styles in different colours) is going live on Sunday so hopefully that helps....
