Melissa your channel is so much better and more genuine than many influences out there.. They often just seem to use their platform to advertise brands to tempt us to buy new clothes we dont need and dont suit us. They’re white with a grey stripe and they’re on the uk board but I don’t think we could find the exact ones in the US so had to find similar instead.

Loving this video. When it came to the TS it made me think - when to do right sized vs over sized and structured vs soft/draped - or should we all have both? Is there a combo like oversized is best structured or right sized is best softer?
You just always want to create balance in the figure so whether you go loose or baggy depends where you personally need to add the volume or minimise it. We teach this in our online styling courses. X
Male styling would be great Melissa. We are going away for the new year and I am trying to get my husband to get some new clothes but it has been so long since he has really shopped properly I don't think he knows where to start. It is easy to look old fashioned and tbh the men's section in most shops is shockingly small and limited.

This video style with the two of you would lend well to doing a high-low outfit comparison where you both wear the “same” outfit with one being on the more expensive side, and the other with more reasonable prices. Say an outfit from Sezane/COS/Varley, and a recreated outfit from Amazon/H&M/etc.

I absolutely ADORE Mint Velvet jeans. I'm 6 feet tall and their long length is perfect for my inside leg and they are long in the body too. They wash well and mine have always kept their colour. (Wash inside out with a colour friendly detergent)

Hi Melissa, I have recently discovered your channel and now watch your videos avidly. I love your delivery style and the explanations of each item is always very thorough. I have slightly olive skin and have always steered away from white. As I am now trying to build a capsule wardrobe, would you say that white is a colour that suits everyone? If not, is it possible to source the tshirts you recommend in a softer white/cream?
Yes it suits everyone in terms of being needed in order to make the capsule wardrobe work but how close you wear it to your face changes based on skin colour. X

Melissa, Ido like your channel. There have been a number of channels that pop-up in my feed aimed at women on how to look 'feminine & expensive' all the time. I really dislike these channels because it's like they want women to go back to the 1950s & the looks are often very dated (tight & fitted). I feel feminine in a pair of good quality barrel jeans, kitten heels, a cute top from Mint Velvet & a nice clutch bag!

Sorry if this is a silly question, but how often do you wash, like maybe wear a couple of times then wash.
Jeans I don’t was very often at all to be honest unless the bottom hem is dirty. To get the shape back I throw them in the dryer for 10 mins rather than wash. I’m constantly washing white tops though!

Would you recommend mixing your metals I.e wearing gold and silver together? I prefer silver jewellery so avoid buying accessories with gold hardware but getting silver hardware is often difficult.
Yes you can! A lot of people do that these days. Personally I prefer not to (apart from my wedding rings) but it's not to say that you can't. x
