Since I only found you recently am working my way through your fabulous informative videos. This is so good for me as I pay attention to my wardrobe but not really my coats as I just go for practicality above all else with them. It’s either a waterproof or extreme cold weather (dog walking) or something that I make do with going from A to B with my curated outfit underneath 😂😂 Love your great tips, please keep them coming!!
Coats are key! I’m glad you’re finding the videos useful. I filmed a high street haul of some nice bits I found this week so that will be going up in a couple of days then it’s the big Christmas party outfit special so hopefully those should keep you entertained for awhile! X

I’m a 70 yo Aussie, but still like to look modern and relevant. I have too many clothes, but after watching your capsule wardrobe video, I think I’m going to have to do a big wardrobe cull. I always look for what fabric an item is made from, and steer clear of high polyester fabrics as I find they pill too much. Can you perhaps do a video on what are the best fabric / textile combinations to look for. ? Thanks so much for your videos.

Yes!! As soon as the summer clothes are in the shops i'll be doing a summer version. My capsule wardrobe stays the same across seasons just the fabrics get heavier (eg a wool coat as oppose to a lighter cotton coat). The main base colours stay the same but the accent colour (which covers the more frivolous fashion led pieces) might change from bright pink in the summer to burgundy in the winter (as an example). I've recently done a spring capsule wardrobe video if that helps? x

I'm lusting your denim shirt... such happy memories of the 90s. I appreciate your tips. So many items are shapeless now to 'fit' everyone but in fact fit no-one. I'm tall and androgynous so prefer some tailoring. Any recommendations?

Most of the coats you showed I think you had them over a white tee. When one wears other pieces that gets more difficult, to combine the colours and the look. The type of coat I’m struggling with is over a long full dress. A leather jacket works well but in the Winter I needed more warmth. Any ideas would be gratefully received. I was amazed at the prices of these coats and the length on you at 5.3 was wonderful. It’s hard to find a very long one for me at 5.7. You have made me think I need to visit Zara😊and also Next. I stopped shopping there when they came out of my town. I think I need to look again.

How do you layer a coat if it’s in your normal size. A jacket under it won’t fit. I tried to wear a heavy sweater under my coat today and I couldn’t even get it on. I can’t imagine trying to squeeze a second jacket under it. Should I be sizing up? Thank you
Yes if you’re a person who requires lots of layers. When I’ve got my good quality wool coat on I don’t need layers as it’s super warm so I didn’t size up in that but with my cheaper coats I didn’t size up, rather I chose coats that are oversized anyway in their styles. Hope that helps x

I think black looks best on people with black or dark hair, and perhaps silver hair.

Hello Liz. Try Massimo Dutti or Me & Em (good for tailored yet still casual pieces). Next also do an extra tall range. Hope that helps.

Too harsh, we never buy black coats for any of our clients.
