Aemond is the most different from the Fire and Blood version, so they could take him either way.

I was a little surprised with the direction they took Aemond when Lucerys was killed, that he lost control of Vhagar, but I think it's made his character more interesting for the show.

I am most interested in Aemond, followed by Rhaenyra. The older version was a disappointment to me in season 1.
