It is this type of thinking that led to Cersei, Tyrion, and Tywin (as well as many, many other characters) being whitewashed in the show

I say all this because I read the book Fire and Blood and I know very well what will happen in this war. And I was shocked when I read very strong and shocking moments.
The scene where Alicent misunderstood Viseryes on his dying bed doesn’t exist in the books, the war was started out of spite and pure lust for power in the books.

Beesbury was about right when he said, that he knows Viserys better than anyone else in the room (the council).

The whole thing reminds me of the Wars of the Roses in England. Two sides of a family vying for a throne, the only difference was that there were no dragons.
