I like the idea that it was Arryk who killed himself, and his final line was an acknowledgement of Rhaenyra as queen and an apology for not supporting her ascension.
Yes, I too like the idea of Arryk who had no where to go but either death or triumph and last forgiveness. He knew there was no turning back and he will die one way or the other. So he chose to kill himself out of shame. Hehehe but it’s ok to know that Erryk won but same, he can’t live with the outcome he killed his brother so he asked forgiveness. What a true honor to die for his Queen.
"Farewell, My Brother" - A sad song about the twin Cargyll brothers. In the song, before Arryk boards the ship to return to King's Landing, the brothers try to persuade each other to change sides. When this attempt fails, they exchange declarations of love and part, knowing that when they meet next, it will be as enemies.

don't know why people were so into cleganebowl when it hits so much harder when you love your enemy. THIS is how conflicts should be set up - when you can't bear to root for either side because you're really rooting for both. the last time i felt this way was when Bronn aimed the scorpion at Drogon. I wish the show gave us more to root for the Greens, instead of usurper vs rightful heir. other than Helaena, majority of the green characters are quite unlikeable (hypocrisy is hard to swallow).
@@nissan_skyline not my point. that showdown was superficial, seemed mostly for fan service, and paled in comparison (in terms of depth) to this battle between brothers
I agree that the twin fight was very effective, and at the same time disagree with the subsequent point. Erryk and Arryk having to fight is poignant because they're brothers and they love each other, not because of the sides they represent, and so who 'wins' is less important. At least to me, the overall story isn't about teams, but about people. That's why I don't root for either side, though I think there are likeable characters other than Helaena among the Greens.

I mean they are currently on the precipice of a war of dragons. Why wouldn't that "dreaming" refer to her current and future situation? Rhaenyra has a similar scene this episode
Aegon destroying the model is a metaphor of what happens to the Targaryen dynasty. Just like old valariya, the dragons destroyed the house that dragons built. It was rumored that a dragon was the cause of the volcanos erupting, if that’s true, aegon being the first born son, but not the heir is a direct result of underestimating the true horror dragons can inflict upon the very house that calls theirselves “the blood of the dragon”.
Do they make artbooks for shows like this? Like how they do for anime and cartoons... 'Cause I need an artbook with pictures and details about all the work that was put into bringing the show to life. From the initial concepts and designs and 3d models to the final products we see in the show, I think it would be great to have it all in a book format or a series of books. So much work and effort goes into these sets, props and costumes and it's great to see it showcased in bts videos like this, but I feel like it's not enough and I, personally, would like to see a little bit more of everything, because I find it fascinating and everything is so, so beautiful.
Actually, y'all messed up. Go rewatch it. Erryk is cut on his right leg on the outside. When Arryk gets his cut on his leg at 1:03:42 he's cut on his right leg yes, but on the inside not the outside. Unless somehow you're trying to tell me he cut the outside of his right leg with a right handed slash....

Brothers.You guys just nailed it.😢
Luke and Elliott bringing me to tears all over again, they and Clare really really did a spectacular job with that scene
actually teared up watching the making of the twin's fight as i did too while watching it in the episode... and after hearing the name of the scene,, oh man т-т why it is so brutal, everything is so brutal, but that's why we like this show too. i give a standing ovation to everyone who is working on it 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I am loving these behind-the-scenes videos
The green queen drives me so crazy! Testament to Olivia cooks acting though!
Long shot... but Halaena looking up at the fodder falling is her dreaming about the ash after Dany torches the place
I mean they are currently on the precipice of a war of dragons. Why wouldn't that "dreaming" refer to her current and future situation? Rhaenyra has a similar scene this episode
More Crafting BTS please and a playlist. Art Dept ROCKS!
The brothers fight got me chills. So sad. So well done 👏👏
the acting and visuals in this episode are top tier
13:00 Targaryen master bedrooms not having a place for their dragon to land to pick up its rider seem like an oversight of your castle design. LoL
Indeed, it's why I love dragonstone having a dragon dock
Glad the actual model is still intact lol
house of the dragon on the verge to become the greatest series of all time
you guys are making such an amazing show! all of you! ❤❤❤
Rip Arryk and Erryk😢
Amazing episode. I have no words. HOTD is becoming something else
Love watching these Set glimpses after seeing the episode!
The crew is truly incredible 🙌🏽
This episode was truly amazing!
Phia will win an Emmy for this.
i felt though that the funeral was cut short and didn't reached a peak ...i was expecting that walk of shame vibe of Cersei...
But as always I salute this whole series production for always delivering a MAGNANAMUS episodes 👏👏👏
Tom has killed it what a performance
The funeral scene was so beautiful
That the twins get mixed up on set is so funny.
I cried at the twin fight , absolutely heart wrenching ❤ Great job
No matter where the writing goes the sets and productions will always be as good as it gets. Not perfect but practically there.
5:45 I neeeeeed to know what these veils are made of… I thought it was silk organza because the fabric is very transparent and quite stiff in some shots but it also looks quite fluid in others…
Anyway it was beautiful on screen and added to the scenery. It felt very poetic and pictorial
The set builds are ridiculoussss
Amazing episode. Very tense.
Wow this gave away like the whole episode. I’m surprised they posted this right after the episode came out
Does anyone know which studios did the special effects makeup on this episode? I'm interested in the 3D scanner and printing.
14:35 Daella was not his sister
