Jack kills Cheng and his men - 24: Live Another Day Finale

- Опубликовано: 17 окт 2024
- Jack gets FULL ON REVENGE Here! For Audrey's death he sin't letting any of Cheng's men slip from him. This might be the best scene of the whole season - on par with some of Heller's fantastic material. Of course Jack tops the day off with slicing Chengs head off with a sword.

The first 30 seconds are some of Kiefer's best acting in the entire show, and he doesn't say a word. The way he goes from pure devastation and grief to pure fury and hatred is just amazing.
When he did this at the end of Season 1 after Nina told him Kim was dead and completely annihilated the Drazens, I still get goosebumps watching that scene.
@killwill83 season 6 after the nuke in LA too when Curtis Manning is taken out.
Some people mock the way Jack kills Cheng, but I love it. This was Jack's final kill, on the villain who has ruined his life since season 4. I like that the writers let this be a ridiculously over the top execution with a sword than just a simple gunshot.
Jack was always over the top with his primary kills. Remember Victor Drazen, who ate an entire clip from Jack's handgun.
I love how Live Another Day had him go out the hero he deserved to be not a fucking criminal like season 8
A simple gunshot just wouldn't have done it for Jack. Kill Jack's loved ones and he'll rip you to shreds and spit on your grave. (Or worse!)
I guess him killing his archenemy with a katana makes him Samurai Jack.
@@derekwalker87 He was pretty subdued with Nina. Abu Fayed, John Quinn, Pavel Tokarev, Mikhail Novakovich, though, were all pretty crazy.
My wife and I still talk about this scene to this day, and this show hasn’t been on air in ages. It’s that memorable.
From that moment Bauers face changed from sadness to rage, i knew that they all will die now. lol
Ruinei Zhao Drogs and beer 🍻
i know that 24 is great but c mon is all that drama necessary? i want to see an epic perfomance of the script not a merryl streep movie with guns and warfare tactics i dont know why the writers killed jack s wife on first place...
@@cristopherarias7176 that action is not perfectly edited, weird cuts and camera angles. but i can get past that, cause for me, the emotional frame is making it much more important.
And he became Samurai Jack when used a katana to kill his archenemy.
0:48 proof that switching to your sidearm is always faster than reloading. Call of Duty tries to tell us, but Jack puts it into action.
As long as your safety is off.
Perhaps....
But how are his fruit-killing skills?
When I read that, voice of Gaz and Cpl.Donn played in my mind simultaneously
Remarkable@@jman217
This scene is satisfying on so many levels.
Agreed. Cheng went from fearsome warlord to SOB in less than 15 minutes.
"Jack bauer has more training and experience than anyone in this room, including myself. It is impossible to overestimate Jack Bauer..." -larry moss
Larry should also know that Jack has more lives than a cat.
Who needs a SWAT team when you have Jack
Jack was LAPD SWAT after he left the army
Damn
The screams as he's firing his gun are chilling.
Ciaran O'Connell Those are the screams of a man who is at the end of his patience, and is dead set on killing anyone and everyone in his path.

I love how he goes from complete and utter saddest to uncontrolled rage in just seconds
Blake Anderson I don't think he's out of control; I'd say he's focused and uses the anger.
You must be new to 24 then :)
I have to agree with Olly. He did a good job of controlling his anger and using it as his weapon. Uncontrolled, he would have killed Cheng too soon, or even gotten killed first. Think Mace Windu from Star Wars.
This reminds me of the end of Season 1 when Nina tells him that Victor Drazen killed Kim and he went in and killed Drazen and his men mercilessly.
It's like he got all of his uncontrolled rage out when he sprayed all those bullets from the machine gun, then he just went into focused attack mode. I mean, look how calm he is just stalking around, taking guys out like it's nothing. At the absolute top of his game right there.
This and Jack throwing Margot out of a window are what made this the 3rd best season of 24
Which seasons are your first and second best?
@@KeesHoekerd.....all seasons are perfect, all of them. I watched all seasons 3 times each. But the one that really stands out is season #4. No one can beat Marwan. And that season had the most terrorist attacks, including the most spectacular attack in my opinion, the attack on Air force one.
@@Pablo-ci1kq
I've seen season 5 & 7 so many times I lost count. I don't know how you're able to sit through 6 & 8 3 times. Those are by far the worst. One time was enough on those.
@@joewas2225....i can tell you that the worst is #10 for the simple fact that Bauer was not there. But overall it was still good.
@@Pablo-ci1kq
I only saw the season premiere of Legacy, bought the season on DVD & have yet to see it. I even read up on spoilers which I never do & was quick to forget. So I'm sure it's probably the worst one cause spoilers most of the time are hard to forget.
0:30 *Watching from hell*
Victor Drazen: "Man, those Chinese guys are fucking dead!"
Pavel Tokarev: "No shit!"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 classic
I remember when I first saw this scene. I was thinking, "D-did they just show a decapitation on prime time TV? Wow, that's awesome!"
They show gunshots to the head now.
Aleus Gaming Awww sweet dream warriors reference.
Same. I was shocked. Still can’t believe they got away with. As far as I know that’s the first (and only time) they’ve done that across the “big four” networks (although I’m not sure they’ve done it since due to me not watching those networks since). 24 was always so innovative in more ways than one lol
They'll show almost anything on broadcast these days heh
decapitations, people getting shot, blown up, anything goes, except nudity.....
Chinese takeout....Jack Bauer style
Very very funny 😄
Fuck 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Underrated comment right here😂
Comment of the year 😂😂
Very nice!
Fantastic clip. It is similar to many finale's on 24 but with more to back it up. Cheng as well as Audrey had been established. Three moments are all equally great. When he roars while shooting Cheng's men. That was a true release of utter rage. When Cheng gets up and Jack and him fight was awesome. Other than Fayed, Jack didn't go into a complete fist fight with many of his enemies. This was just as awesome and well deserved if not more than his fight with Fayed. Last and most obvious is his decapitating Cheng. All the endless hours of torture to himself and Audrey, Adrian Cross's death, and finally Audrey's death. All of the pain concentrated into a single slice of a katana. That was just as satisfying to us as it was to Jack.
One of the best segments of 24 ever.
Cheng Zhi is the final entry on the Jack Bauer kill count.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
haha
Who says Chang is the last kill on Jacks list? huh? He went to a Russian prison. Probably had to prove himself more than once. And who did Jack have to kill today? Love your comment though. It would be nice to think Jack is not having to kill anymore. His heart was shattered.
@@charlesmcgehee3227 **Cheng*
@@charlesmcgehee3227 he clearly means on the series
@@MarCuseus Thanks for the correction.
He was being stealth up till this for Audrey's sake. When he knew she was dead there was no need to be silent anymore.
Quite similar to S1 when he gets a false alarm on Kim's execution
Jack's expression at 1:56 says it all. Usually he kills because he has to but I think other than maybe Drazen, his raw emotion here is pure satisfaction as he hurts Cheng.
I think he enjoyed killing Nina too. Dude purposely stood in front of campers to kill her rather than letting her live. Cold blooded. Man I love Bauer’s style.
This goes down as one of the best scenes in all of 24. Kiefer Sutherlands acting in this scene was absoloutly terrific. He literally thought I have nothing left to lose, I'm going to make them pay. I honestly thought Audrey was his last hope of happiness because he needs it.Unfortunately that doesn't happen as the scriptwriters continue to shock us with mammoth twists and turns. I sympathise for Jack. He deserves a medal 🥉.
Jack goes from emotion too raising fucking chaos in a matter of seconds EPIC
Epic ending for an epic show.We miss you Jack.
Maybe the show will end with him waking up in a Russian prison and it was all a dream
That's Jack, mad like never before 😨we miss this series.
As Heller says "You've done enough damage as a federal agent, thank God you didn't become a surgeon"
Lol
This scene and the one where he slaughters Fayed and his men are absolutely epic.
We’ve waited for this since season 4
Losing your head is such a beautiful way to go actually, I mean, you head remains alive and conscious for at least a minute afterwards.
"My name is CHENG ZHI!!!"
He should have said "MARTHA!"
Why did you say that name!
We need one more final season with Jack Bauer and a proper send off to the character
In all honesty, the only way the Jack Bauer character could get a proper sendoff would be if he dies. I wouldn’t have said that at the end of previous seasons but by the end of this one, the guy has nothing left.
Jack is a freaking savage through this video. And I just love it :)
They do not make shows like this anymore....best show ever made
I've not seen a show of the same genre that comes close, 24 set the bar so high, and Keifer it an amazing actor.
24 became the primary standard for all shows ever made
JACK BAUER RAGE MODE!!!!
Haven't seen this since season 1 finale.
You must of forgot when we went on a killing spree and killed all the people responsible for Renee walker death
If the president wasn’t trying to bury the truth from the Hassan’s everything would of played out different
@Jacob Parker Yeah the Season 8 rage mode was more of a slow burn instead of the massacre of Season 1 and here.
You know you are screwed when a super pissed off Jack Bauer is after you.
Cheng Zhi, Nina Myers, Charles Logan, and Abu Fayed are the best of the best 24 villains.
AND IT'S THE WANT FOR SINCE DAY OF 24 AND AT THE END OF DAY 5 OF 24
IT'S WANT WE BEEN LOOK FOR
I hated Nina Myers with a passion. I guess that’s what made her a good character.
This was not a revenge killing spree nor was killing Cheng a revenge. Jack killed Cheng as a way to honor Audrey's dying wish: the last thing she asked of Jack was that he kills Cheng. It's normal that Audrey would want Cheng dead considering what he did to her. As for Jack, he didn't even have any valid reason to go on a killing spree because Jack's mission here was to kill Cheng either way no matter the outcome. If anything, his anger over Audrey's death only gave him the strength to complete his mission. Jack already made a mistake when he went on a killing rampage when Renee was killed. Jack has now finally learned that revenge is pointless and it never solves anything. LAD demonstrated that Jack was over Audrey romantically but not his residual guilt over what happened to her. That's why he always felt that getting involved to another woman was like a betrayal to her. But during their final conversation Audrey finally freed him from that burden by assuring him that she doesn't hate him and she forgives him. Jack actually had an opportunity to extract yet another vengeance but this time he chose Chloe and his family over revenge. Jack chose to be a REAL man instead of a coward.
Fax
Chang really can kick some butt. He gave Jack a real workout. Of course no one has ever won a hand to hand against Jack. Jack went Medieval on Chang.
Jack's lost a couple times, but he never lets that keep him down! But yeah, I was surprised seeing Cheng able to hold in a fist fight with Jack
Jack is the star of the show of course he's going to win. Jack has lost a couple fights in Season 8 he lost against one of the President's thugs because Jack was already injured and exhausted. He lost against Ronnie Lobell in Season 4.
And then Jack Bauer received Cheng's Quickening.
May it be Jack Bauer
His last AND BEST KILL!

True but Kiefer would have to be convinced to come back.
You can really feel it for Jack here when Kate, tells him Audrey's dead and. The pain and anger retaliating killing Chengs men. Even though he loved Renee, but Audrey was his true live and Cheng so deserves getting killed. Not just for Audrey but for him, also torturing him For a year and a half in China and. Love Jack saying you should have stayed, hidden lie a rat. You could have died an old man.
CHENG AND HE'S MEAN WLL EVEN I WILL ABSOLUTELY DEFINITELY DO THE SAME THING IF I lOOS SOME ONE KLL WHO I IN LOVE WITH ITS MIRANDA COSGROVE SINCE 2004
Cheng had this coming for a longgggggg time after what he did to Jack and Audrey back in China. I just wish Jack had savored that ass whoopin he was giving him even more.
Armando Loaeza u
This is some fine acting. The last person jack cares about is dead. But then he remembers he never abandons the mission!
I'm pretty sure this scene was meant to mirror/be a call back to when Nina told Jack that Kim was dead and he barged in and murdered the drazens
This one, the one where we takes Fayed and his guys out and later on the oil rig, and killing the drazens are the best of the series.
Best of Season 9, in my humble opinion.
0:21 anyone else think that Jack was going to shoot himself at that scene? If the Chinese didn't come running down at that moment he could have well done it
Nah, he started to look mad a few moments before they came
the martial arts from both actors is so good.
Cheng finally got what was coming to him. One of the let downs with season 8 was Cheng and Mandy remained loose ends of the series. Mandy may still be one but at least we got closure with their scumbag
In the end I guess Heller was right about everyone Jack is ever with ends up dead. Really sad
only because hes so aweesome that enemies of the us have to start using jacks friends/family to leverage him from doing his job
But everyone he's not with get to live like the millions of Americans in the country
@@tekkenfan01 why
Tony Lee Deakin you know why
@@tekkenfan01 I do but I don't think it's not fair about the super hero
I remember I got a noise complaint in my apartment when this first premiered, especially at the end
It just had to be the last scene for the most brutal takedown by Jack Bauer. God I finished season 8 with a bad taste after watching this. Luckily season 9(LAD) did not disappoint! I can see why alot of people put it in their top 3 ranking for 24 seasons!
I wonder if the actor Tzi Ma (Cheng Zhi) had a stunt double for his fight scene lol I remember him from the Rush Hours
Everybody Yeah....that was an obvious stunt double. It took me out of the moment too.
This old man suddenly knows kung fu like 5 seconds before he gets killed? I like Cheng when he brings tragedy to Jack’s loved ones, but he is no physical opponent of Jack’s.
Nevertheless, cool kill.
I remember watching this being aired. Fuck. So satisfying. Finally getting to see Jack and Cheng square off like this... I squealed like a child.
2 words "BEAST MODE"
When you’re the last one on your team to be alive and they all counting on you to win
Proof right here that the man you should fear the most is that with nothing left to lose
This moment when he figured out Audrey's death, a part of him is gone with her. He pull out his gun, thinking to end himself but when he heard footsteps and chinese talks, he put the gun back and went to kill everyone, regardless to what coul happen to him. Brillant writing and acting
jack goes full beast mode on cheng and his men.....glorious 300 style
Finished watching all of 24... don't know what to do with my life now lol
Re watch it should take about 6 months to 1 year
My dad got me into this in season 5. Jack is part of the reason I followed a law enforcement path. I remember the raw emotion from Audrey's death. You could tell from his trembling that Cheng and his men were about to meet their end. I think this was the best way to finish Jack's character before surrendering to the Russians
Against Cheng, I was glad to see some martial arts combat even though it was brief.
It was at this moment that Jack truly did not give a flying $&@^!!!
When Jack pulled out his pistol, was he going to shoot himself?
Akash Pai I've always thought this was what we were supposed to think. And indeed, I think he was about to.
He was. He's teetered on the brink of doing this before. At the end of Day 1 when he (wrongly) believes Kim is dead, he toys with killing himself and instead lets the same rage flow through him, using it to execute everyone who even works with Victor and lastly Victor himself
He was
He definitely thought about it
He was certainly considering it yes, I mean Renae Walker was to far enough but then this with Audrey...yeah for one brief moment he contemplated ending it himself.
This series should have been called '12: Live Another Half-Day'.
My favourite bit, apart from the shift in emotion of Jack's face, is that he still has time to change weapons. :-)
Poor Jack man, bloody hell how far can one man be pushed I mean damn.
Jack Bauer in Season 1 and "Live another Day" both he cutt off someone´s head.
Chuck Norris looks for Jack Bauer under his bed
You can honestly say they dont makes TV Series like this anymore! Its a pity that the best shows today are the likes of 'Yellowstone'.
When I first watched this on fox I thought the look on jack face in the beginning of this video looks like Frankenstein.
I think Cheng got off wayyyy too easy. It was quick and painless (although it's been said a person can be conscious for a very short bit after decapitation) and after all that he caused Bauer and Audrey...he deserved to suffer long time.
When it's Friday and your co-workers are trying to hold you up from Happy Hour!
Cheng is in a great Seinfeld episode, where the gang waits for a table, george waits on a phone call "Seinfeld,Four"
Pretty sure that’s a different actor (James Hong I believe).
Could you upload more scenes of Jack killing? Like Dana Walsh and Pavel in season 8 or when he went vampire in season 6.

In season 6 he was tied up and escaped when he bit into the neck of a terrorist. Great scene.

+isuru jayawardena yep i do think it's about time that cheng that fuckhed to be finished off for one's for all
Where can I watch this?
This man lost everything!
I wish there was a season 10 11 12 13 till 100
As gruesome as this show got from time to time, it was always great to see Jack Bauer off the bad guys as brutally as what they dished out to good people!
Let this be a lesson to terrorists and other villains: Never EVER kill someone Jack Bauer loves or he will demolish you. Exhibit A: When he thinks the Drazens killed Kim. Exhibit B: When the Russians kill Renee. Exhibit C: THIS.
yep its but this moment i look forward since day 4 and on day 6 for cheng to finally to pay the price for starters a flight with Kiefer
Every time I watch that fight I keep expecting Jack to snap another of Cheng's limbs, not as a counter or too disable but cos he wants to hurt him, I keep mentally seeing it even though I know he doesn't. I dunno if it's the music or what but it feels fitting to the scene.
To my knowledge it would've been the only time in the entire series he hurts (not KO's or kills) an enemy for personal satisfaction rather than business. Right enemy, right reason, would've been earned.
In retrospect, I'm not crazy about the direction they took Cheng. For the first couple of seasons, he was an effective (if someone ruthless) agent doing whatever it took to protect his country. In other words, he was essentially the Chinese version of Jack Bauer.
Then they made him some two-dimensional, mustache twirling villain, trying to start a war between China and the US.
Cheng got embarrassed by Jack Bauer and captured by the USA I'm probably get kicked out by his government in China so of course she's going to be one-dimensional
Season 6 was a clusterfuck. Cheng collaberating with Jack Abauer's father. WTF
I hate to admit this about myself, but I love - and believe in - righteous revenge. And this scene -- is very satisfying to me
cheng knowing kung fu i thought a full fight was gonna break out.

Who knew Cheng was such a fighter tho !!
He was in the military, he trained in martial arts.
he was ready to kill himself, then realized he should just take out everyone on the boat instead then kill cheng. his sadness turn into really violent fucking rage and i love it
The number 1 moment when Jack Bauer went Beast Mode!!!
This was the beastiest jack has ever been
End of Season 1 anyone?
and 8 too
It pays homage to many finale's on 24. The key elements were Jack hearing someone he loved died from Day 1, and the threat of war from Day 2.
Exactly what I was thinking. Jack and Kim. Jack and Audrey.
That execution of cheng was long overdue
