There are a lot of bullshits in this scene. An armored Limo with such a high ranked person would always go with a long convoy, would be impossible to stuck them into a tunnel in the first place. But even if it was, a car like that is full of safety equipment to survive every kind of scenario you can imagine, e.g. GASMASKS, body armors and I don't think they could only fight back with a pistol, when they are actually prepared to terrorist attacks... lol. And no, I don't think he could just shoot through the window like that.
