Never thought this was start of greatness. All time favourite. Thank You Reese, Harold, Carter, Fusco, Root, Zoe Morgan, Bear, Shaw, Simmons, Elias, Anthony, Decima, Greer, Samaritan and most of all the most underrated character 'The Machine'.
I liked how Visualize was just a device orchestrated by Greer to justify the shift towards what became Samaritan. Greer felt Northern Lights, Finch's close system AI threat alert system was NOT aggressive enough at rooting out emerging threats. Greer wanted pre-emergent threat neutralization. The reveal about Visualize was well done. I had suspected about how the Visualize folks were so organized, almost militarized in their tactics and had so much knowledge about the surveillance program.
It was a success still, not massive would mean it appealed to the masses, which would have been impossible to do while keeping their subtlety and originality. This was designed to reach a higher à part of society with a higher level of consciousness and it was perfect this way.

Detective Fusco was in the dark about what was really going on the whole series, so it would have been good to see what he could have done without everythign being kept from him. We were shown right at the end that the Machine had just started putting together other teams to work the Numbers so it would have been good to see more of their dynamic. The machine only got a voice right at the end so we only really head from it as a character right at the end, so it would have been good to see more of the machine. Also Finch finally got to get back together with his fiance and all we see is them look at each other! What the hell. As a viewer, I hate being at the mercy of the studios as to whether the shows I like get to be made.
Here in 2024 binge watching my way through for the second time. I absolutely love this show. It was a crime that it was cancelled
This hjas turned out to be a great program, and I happen to love it.
The moment John gained purpose
One of the best shows out there
Great show!
Talk about perfect casting
From Italy...we want continued POI
1:00 John's frame is already yellow in the machine's view.
Finch: You need a Purpose..More, Specifically you need a Job.
And that's how a Greatest series has born, People.
He should have said it the other way around. Anyone can have a job. Not many of us have a purpose.
And Finch bodyguards were never seen again 😁
Still miss this show in 2023!
