King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort, have greeted crowds outside Buckingham Palace, where he is due to meet the UK’s Prime Minister Liz Truss.
The King was offered bouquets of flowers and even a kiss on the cheek as he shook hands with those who had gathered to see him arrive.

No one expected him to actually go out in front of Buckingham palace and greet the people there. Very smart move and a good sign that his reign will be in the right direction
Oh, come on. Who really wouldn’t have expected that?
@Gavin Gas I don’t like him either but he is 100% by rights the ‘True King.’ It’s his birthright. I’m looking forward to William too.
Better than sniffing the crow American style
He's gonna surprise people. Wants to do right by them. I think that alone will create a smooth transition
@@VideoAmericanStyle He could have just driven in. But he chose to stop and get out and greet his people as the new King.
He is simultaneously grieving and taking on this new role. He’s in my thoughts and prayers. God Save the King.
Thought about that too...
🙏🙏🙏
God fart.
Queen Elizabeth II has died people can do nothing without her…..
Time to become a republic.

Exactly!!!!!! Like many moments in life. Concerts i go to, i put my phone on vibrate and it stays in my pocket until the show is over.
Can't imagine what it must be like to have to grieve in such a public manner.
Can't even imagine doing all this a day after my own mother died. Respect.
He understands the legacy of his mother. He was genuinely moved.
To lose your dear mom and at the same time face the biggest responsibility of your life must not be easy 🙏
What real responsibilities does he have though? It's all pageantry, he has no real power.
@@shane7133 would you want to be in a spotlight a day AFTER your mum died? Even doing a presentation takes skill you know. Presenting yourself to millions of people ain't easy.

Respect to his Highness king Charles lll. Most people don't want to see anyone immediately after their mother's passing, but he had to address the nation. Long live the king 👑
He is no longer Highness☺️
His Majesty.
Such an emotional moment. My deepest condolences to the Royal Family and to all the People of United Kingdom. God be with you all!
RIP your majesty!!
Well can’t do anything…..
What is emotional lots of curse from all the people who her reign had looted ,tortured and killed
I never really like Charles but this video proves that he is a true gentleman that is grieving
and heartbroken and the fact that as soon as he came out of the car he started greeting the nation, he will always have a place in my heart. God Save The King.
I love the respect shown in the UK.
The US could learn a lot from these kindhearted people.
EXACTLY how I feel. Glad I am not alone. 💕
The U S may have broken ties with the UK but we aren't all careless to foreign affairs
With men and women, citizens of all backgrounds, as diverse as anywhere on Earth, all together in unity.
boris isnt as bad as trump
As someone from the US:
First, though I am personally against living with or under a monarchy, I do understand its historical role and significance to the people “across the pond” and respect your population’s culture in that regard. And I think it’s beneficial to the social fabric there, and abroad, to have a successive chain of, albeit mostly symbolic, leadership that is decent and orderly while bridging the gaps between the past, present, and future and while keeping what remnants of a nation’s culture in tact…
Second, please ignore the classless, myopic views about the Queen coming from The States (or other places) from people who revel in their ignorance and take any opportunity to insert themselves in the center of other people’s issues and grievances.
As a Black American male, I am embarrassed by the Twitter activity from many of “my people” in particular who don’t possess the foresight and consideration of our ancestors nor the respect and humility which they demand from others whom they do not know. 🤷🏽 We are generally living in the greatest excess and privilege ever seen her in an empire here yet many take each chance to center themselves as victims and spiteful observers.
Third, and lastly, I hope the Queen rests in peace then goes with God and that her decedents do not grow apart but closer together to continue to grow and develop the foundation and legacy of which they are now in control.
What a pity. Despite everything, there are a lot of people in Russia who respected Elizabeth 2.
I have always admired and respected Elizabeth 2. Our condolences from Russia🇷🇺🤝🇬🇧
Thank you
Yes. Putin respected always Elizabeth II 🇷🇺❤️
He’s literally been waiting his entire life for this moment. It probably hasn’t sunk in yet for him that he’s king.
I am pleased he personally greeted the people first to share his grief & acknowledge their acceptance as King. May he serve the people well.
King Charles was determined to finish the line from the start to the end!! and to shake everyone's hand respectively because that's exactly what he's mother did for 70 years!! he was probably thinking "this is what my mother did for so damn long so it won't hurt for me to finish where she left off" as he will continue to respect everyone and to be all loyal to the throne as he's mother was before him!! god bless him and god save the king in his old age!!
He's trying to redeem himself to the British public for his misdeeds to Diana.
Wishing King Charles III the best of success as the new monarch. Also wishing his family the best during their time of grieving.
My hearts and prayers are with Great Britian during this period of great sadness. This is an end of era of a monarch who've reign half the 20th century through the 21st century. Remarkable. 🇨🇦🇬🇧😢

He lost his best advisor and friend in his mother. I hope he can look past her daily absence and live through his memory of her, them and his whole family toghther as it was. We're never ready to loose someone in this life. What we are ready for is to cling to hope that we meet again. Condolences King Charles.
Ah you have an insight into his relationship with his mother. Do enlighten us further with your wisdom!
Well said, god save our King 🤴
He's 74 . Everyone will lose their parents. He's not a child. He's lucky to have both his parents live into their 90s. His sons weren't that lucky to have that.
@@pollutionhead No but if you think about all the years of prepping for the day he became King. That was a lot of advisement. They do have clips of them watching TV and old movies toghther. Plus that Mother/Son relationship struck me as a friendship as well. How could one not miss that on a daily basis no matter when you loose it or expected to.
@@laurenhall1070 The palace staff look after the upkeep of the children and have done so for centuries. All prepping is performed by experts skilled in the relevant fields required, rightly so. That speech was written probably weeks/months ago by his advisors and practiced many times in front of body behaviour experts to ensure it was delivered well, which it was. Of course they are going to release carefully choreographed footage to the press, this is great PR, which this Royal family really needs given the last few decades of scandal. I don't deny that he may have had a great relationship with his mother, only they would have known. I do hope so.
it’s amazing how he greets everyone like if he knew them from a long time. That says a lot to me. He’ll make a good King 👑
Oh puhlease! He hardly even saw anyone's face. I mean seriously?

Today`s HM King speech was very inspiring, and his love and thankfulness to his mother is amazing.

I think he’s going to be an excellent King. He had the best role model one could have in his mother. People didn’t think Edward the caresser would be a good king because of his scandals but he did a good job.

Wow King Charles - inside grieving the loss of our Queen and yet outside acknowledging the crowds how thoughtful and considerate. I had tears in my eyes watching this.... bless our new King
Very heart warming. I thinking all those thoughts and well wishes will give the family a huge amount of comfort and a break from the grief. You can’t be miserable all the time when you lose someone. Lovely to watch and I hope these displays help lift the loss of a loved one ❤️
She was 96! She lived out her life span. Everyone will lose their parents. He's fortunate to have his parents for the duration of his life. His sons lost their mother at the formative years. That's every lasting grief. Charles lost is not the same. He's a grown man of 74 years old. He's not an orphan.
King and Queen consort have true love and pure 😍
I grew up with a mother who adored Diana and tried to emulate her in the way she wore her hair and the way she dressed. So it's safe to say that I never liked Charles... But this was admirable of him. It's like he's consoling the people as they are consoling him.
He's been groomed for this role his entire life. Not nice how the royal family used Diana to produce an heir...used as a breeder and the he returned to his beloved Camilla. Who, btw, had no problem cheating with Charles while he was married to Diana. So, yeah, I'm not loving this family.
If the queen let Charles marry Camila in the first place that mess would of never happen. I love Princess Diana. No excuse for what he did to her but true love is true love.
🌹🕯May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest 🙏🏼🕊

The Queen served until her literal last few days alive. Thats dedication
My deepest condolences to the royal family! God save the King!
It's going to take some getting used to, calling him King Charles. Praying for him and the rest of the royal family. 🙏🏻🕊
Why? He's been Charles all his life. The only thing that's different is his title, from Prince to King. Certainly, after a 70 year reign of his mother/predecessor, his accession can't be a surprise or shock. His subjects, as witnessed in this video clip above, seem to be making the transition just fine.
I was going to say something like that - but I think people who were around when Princess Elibazeth became Queen found that calling her Queen Elibazeth was a bit strange - took me a while to get used to calling Lady Diana Princess Diana!
@@onemercilessming1342HIS SUBJECTS! People are human beings God Damn It
@@lukedziuball2298 Yes, his subjects. You don't have to like it and you're free to move out of any place that makes you one of his subjects. Judging by the huge numbers greeting their new Monarch, I'd say your rage is misplaced. NEVER attack the messenger. Run along now. I'm sure there's a pub somewhere where you can buy a pint and cry into your beer.
@@arthurvasey The press had a hard time referring to Diana as Princess. She was Lady Di for quite a bit to them.
It's beautiful to see how the people in his country like him. Since the death of Václav Havel, this has not existed in our country.

He is hurting for his beautiful mother but he is still trying to console the people at the same time while he should have been the one to be consoled.😪 ❤ you king Charles.
I wish people could care for the others as much as they do for The Queen and her relatives. King Charles will have enormous amount of people that will care about him now when his mother has died, but I always hope that during these kind of moments people could start to think about those who have lost a relative and are alone with their sorrow.
So true. It's a form of brainwashing . People saying they will miss the Queen as if she was a fixture in their lives.

So many people would want to cheer to celebrate him as King. A lot of the words said were of condolence, but also to cheer is to wish him well because we all know he will be going through a lot.
