My dog and I walk the hills, valleys, river banks and seashore of this area every day. A quiet gentle life after a busy time living at home and away. I read President Obamas books long before he became President so was not surprised to find his public speeches set so many Americans on fire for a different way of life. Civility and family life, the value of multi cultural heredity, as experienced by so many around the world and throughout history, became more understood. Those values my Queen valued. We are, as a world, the product of history. We learn from history, if we are wise.
Queen Elizabeth II was not born to the role she carried so well for 70 years. Her father King George VI was the spare to the heir. King Edward’s abdication put Queen Elizabeth in the direct line of succession. She was the finest example of a woman and a leader but, she was not born to be Queen.

I just loved the story of Queen Elizabeth taking the two girls in the royal coach for a spin around the palace grounds, i loved and respected her for these kinds of actions, the more i hear about her, the stronger my feelings become.....
She reminded me of my grandmother too. She was of the same generation, and those people have grit.
She's about 4 months younger than my grandmother, who is still alive. I made it a point to visit my grandmother the Sunday after Queen Elizabeth passed away. You have to cherish the time with your loved ones while they're still around. The passing of the seemingly immortal Queen Elizabeth enforced that in me.
Hello Angela how are you doing today and your family?
They absolutely do. The absolute greatest generation that will ever live imo
Although I'm really sad that Her Majesty is no longer with us, I'm really enjoying hearing people's fond memories of her.
What a lovely story. Clearly the two families took to each other. ❤
Yes, the perfect summary of a genuine human being, born to her unexpected role as Queen, who retained her promise of duty every day for a lifetime of service with a super human diligence. She had a keen sense of who was behind her giving her the strength and determination along with a sense of wonder and joy. Loved my Queen with all my heart and love President Obama for the embodiment of manhood he represents to this day.
Hello Anne how are you doing today and your family?
Hello I’m really sorry for texting you in such way it’s not really cool but I just couldn’t help myself you’re got a very interesting profile and I most say you’re gorgeous hope you don’t mind can we get to know each other by some kinda proper introduction I’m mark, how about you?
@@MarkHawkins-ju7xc Good morning Mark, I’m an old lady living in a remote part of south western England next door to my daughter.
What an honourable man, I enjoyed his talk.
His acts in the Middle East were very honourable
Hi Helen 👋

Yeah that's right I don't no that much but I think you are right
@Jim Richardson dude, you're creepy
Wow that was beautiful.
Always enjoy listening to Barack Obama speak, always comes across as a real gentleman. Enjoyed his story.
Refreshing to hear a US President speak with eloquence. Haven’t heard this for 6 years.
President Biden speaks well also.
@kayeroskaft9619 go back to sleep listening to sleepy joe is affecting your quality of life.
Thank you President Obama. So eloquent and generous for you to bring to mind such wonderful interactions with Queen Elizabeth II- Elizabeth the Great.
President Obama was very loved by Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh. I could tell they were thankful to have such a humble, kind, and very wonderful president visit the country. I can tell that President Obama is going to miss her a ton.
Obama is dead, the military took him out, he was not born in the USA, Obama/Biden administration had child trafficking under the WH, we hate them here in the USA. All his history will be wiped out once it is out in the public.
I can watch Obama and The Queen.
I thought they looked particularly happy with the Obamas visit too. The Queen and Phillip didn’t look that happy when meeting our prime minister 😅
Humble, kind, ((that is never how he came across to me)?
@@berniemckinley4988 ´No way is that true!
People need to talk about people and have interviews like this while they are still alive.
So true. 😊
Hello Sheila how are you doing today and your family?
I do that with my family but also weekly work meetings
Kindness and consideration... wow we miss you
This was a beautiful and eloquent tribute. Truly from the heart! 💜
I love that she wore Michelle's brooch.
Would love to know what Michelle said when she saw it on her at trump's visit!!!!
This man is something else. I miss him being on the global stage.
Such poise, dignity, intelligence. Amazing orator sir, well done!
I genuinely miss her so much, she died the day before my 40th and I had a big , messy weekend planed with my friends. It was emotional, still messy but with a massive cloud over it . X
I'm from the UK but my god I miss this man as President. An absolute credit to the American people
Trust me, a lot of us here miss him, too.
We miss him too 😢
Agree
Thanks...me too...
I think we all do.
Barack gets it. No bull in this interview. Just pure honesty, warmth and humility.
Seems like the world went a little crazy after he left office. He was an excellent ambassador for the USA.
If only he could have been our president forever…
@@WoodJack99 No no 8 years was enough. To be clear I like Obama I’m just a firm believer that power should change hands. George Washington knew how important that was. FDR was an exception but it was a unique time. First the Great Depression and then WWII.
Barack Obama shared lovely memories, a wonderful time with her Majesty.
My favorite is when Michelle hugged Queen Elizabeth, wrapped her arms around her. Queen Elizabeth put her arm around Michelle I’m sure it was great excitement at the time , broke protocol but we all love hugs.
I loved that moment! Linda.
All photos of the Queen with the Obama’s, shows her gorgeous smile and sparkling eyes. Clearly she adored their company.
_yes_ 😀😀
Clearly she held him in much higher regard than she did the man who followed...
The Queen always smiled and always had sparkling eyes when she smiled regardless of who she was with. That was her nature
@@tvs9978 she always smiled, nature and duty, the sparkle though, was different I think.
A gentleman who is not pompous and selfserving while expressing his admiration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
And bombed the most country's and droped the most bombs out of any president Obama bomb Laden

Hello Joanna how are you doing today and your family?
hello joanna, i'm Jorge, a pilot from Lima peru, working with LATAM airline. i came across your page here through the utube suggestion for me so i thought to write to you. where are you from?
Write me when you can and do have a nice day and may God bless you .
I was 11 when Obama was elected President. I am very grateful having witnessed it in my own life as opposed to reading about it in a history book centuries from now. He was still the President when I enlisted in the Navy in 2016. I look forward to telling my grandchildren about him and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Both will be remembered very favorably in history.
another fake president he was not born in the USA they found his original birth certificate he was born in Kenya, his real name is Barry Sorrestos, he was (Obama is dead) grandson of Hitler. All his history will be destroyed when it is announced by President Trump.
@@TrishPatches Whatever you're smoking I want some

Same I was in sixth grade when he was elected and he was still president when I went off to college I’m very glad to have had President Obama as my president during those times. He was very needed at that time.

Barack Obama is such genuine blessing to the American people I truly believe he is missed it was such a privilege to vote for him twice and I would vote for him again
Hello Beth Streich how are you doing today and your family?
She said that she was not an extraordinary person, but rather an ordinary person in extraordinary circumstances. I miss her terribly.
He speaks so well. Her majesty was a lovely lady and will be missed.
Here we see a statesman: with a thorough understanding of the role and purpose of his contemporaries, with an understanding of the importance of maintaining values which make cohesive societies, and who is able to express himself with eloquence. Those who seek to succeed him - take notes!
" Those who seek to succeed him - take notes!"
News Alert! They didn't. Some notes are now to be found somewhere stuck between McChicken barbeque sauce and classified documents........... Priceless. smh
Beautiful memories. May God bless her soul.
Barack Obama is one of the most humble leaders of the modern age with a great presence and voice...I would welcome him again if the chance came
Despite all the haters, I admired the USA for electing its first black President. Also admired the USA for legalising gay marriage. It paved the way for other countries to follow soon after
Sadly, he never came across that wat to me, arrogant poser is more like it.
I personally disagreed with his policies but I really do respect his humility and intelligence. He is a very respectable man.
This man sure has you fooled he destroyed America
@@sheilagibson982 Is that what intelligence and grace on a Black person looks like to you? Arrogance?

Beautiful honest story. Love it. Gave me some insight on The Queen.
This is so heart warming
Just when I think I couldn't admire Obama even more what a Gentleman, full of charm & Grace.

@@dr.miguelitoloveless9478 That's your opinion. Agree to disagree.
This was beautiful
He satisfied what everyone was looking for in a final summation of Queen Elizabeth's character and presence ...Thank you Mr Obama 💘
Partly because she was ourhead of state British ppoliticians tended to eulogise her as the most saintly person who ever lived. Obama provided some fascinating insights into her character. Her life was onne of endless appointments and engaements which probably explains why she was a stickler for time and getting to the point. The Queen and Prince Philip obviously "clicked" with the Obamas.
Leave it to our beloved Barack to get everyone to see the humanity and generosity of a wonderful woman and the Queen of England. What lovely and consistent traits she showed and he highlights beautifully in his stories. Anyone who has negative things to say has not met human beings because they are flawed but also you can in good faith acknowledge the kindness, graciousness and wisdom of the longest living UK Monarch. She was a force to behold. Long live her majesty ❤️🙌🏾✨🙏🏾
One thing is for certain, your ignorance will never be called into question.
I would loved to be in the same room as both the queen and Obama, The conversation and warmth between them would have been amazing.
Thank you for sharing this kind and thoughtful interview with President Obama on his amazing interactions with the Queen.
You can tell the queen genuinely liked the Obamas. He's a classy guy.
I believe our Queen did like the Obamas. She invited Michelle and the girls on their own as mentioned in this video. The photos of Her Majesty and Prince Philip with them are sincerely warm, unlike those of the next President who appeared not to know how to behave and at one point walked in front of her. Such a crass individual
Probably my favourite US president. A gentleman
His acts in the Middle East were very cool!
Both of my favorite presidents worked for the people in my home state: Presidents Lincoln and Obama. Presidents Truman and (FD) Roosevelt run a close 2nd and 3rd.
