Exactly what I needed. A printer that was just about headed for the trash is now working perfectly.
Great help - step by step. After replacing the head, had to do a couple of print head clean cycles to charge the head. After that, it worked great. Thanks!
Worked perfectly for my WF-545. Couldn't see everything that well in the video but it got me close enough to find the points to push to release the parts necessary to get the old one out. The new one went in easily. At first it wouldn't recognize one of the cartridges but a little swab with alcohol solved that problem.
Thank you!!!
You give great instructions step by step! Thanks!!!!!
My pleasure. Thanks for the encouragement!
This video is exactly what I was looking for. Epson wf-7510 user. Thanks!
I'm glad you found this video helpful. Have a great day!
Was about to give up on this printer and found this video, great help worked out. Was able to clean the heads and it works like new! Thank you!
Thank you! My parents printer have been sitting around for ages. I need to clean it better.
I followed your instructions. The printer head was very dirty. I received an error when I put it back together "Turn power off and then on again" What could I have done wrong? Is there something in this process that you recommend I double-check. I wondered if I didn't press the cables in firmly enough. Ideas appreciated. Thank you.
I got the same question. No matter how many times I turn it off and back on…or unplug and let it sit I keep getting the printer error message.
Hi, did you resolve this issue? I have the same problem.
@@jonathangreene4309 Hi, did you resolve this issue? I have the same problem.
@@heynowpauly Nope. I just went into the settings and removed print from the menu. I use it for scanning and faxing. I had bought a new printer head but no help. HP no help. They just wanna sell new printers.
@@heynowpauly I had the same issue and I found the cable that reconnects to the right of the printer-head was not connected. So I connected and now I no longer get the error message but I still have issues with the printer. I found the other video he made showed how to clean the printer-head without having to disassemble. So now to try that. In the meantime I ordered a cheapo printer at Walmart for a total of $42 including tax and delivery. Anyway, good luck with your repair.
Thank you for this! It all worked out great, however...now when I print, its like the black is pouring out in a "band" covering everything. Is there something I missed? Thank you
Hi there! I did this to clean my print head because it was not printing black ink no matter how many maintenance runs I did. Now I am getting a 0x9A error - to replace the FFC cable. do you think this could have damaged the FFC cord?
It can be a few things. Most likely, the printhead was partially fried before you started the manual clean. That's why the nozzle wasn't clearing up. It happens sometimes with these printheads.
Thanks,I respect your dedication. Sir.
Owner of Epson WF 545. 😂
I am able to move the printhead. The only step I am not understanding is the first one. Am I sticking the screwdriver in? Is the L shaped piece the clip? Also I don't see one on the other side. Sorry to ask, but can you be a bit more specific about this step? Thanks!
I'm getting ready to attempt the first step and I really wish he'd answered your question here. Was so hard to see what he was doing. I know that's not his fault but, I know how you feel.
When I unplugged the ribbon from the side, I accidentally unplugged a second one as well that appears to reconnect in the back of the ink carriage. It is in an impossible to reach spot, any tips on reconnecting it?
I'm a little scared, but I'll try it ... rather than throw this machine away. thanks for doing this video!
You're welcome! Good luck with the repair. You'll do fine!
Should this work for EPson WF840?
I need to move the printhead manually. In its present position it is under the tab and won't move. I can't turn the printer on. Any advice on how to do this?
Thanks for your help. My epson thanks you too....
Glad to help
Works perfectly for EPSON WF-7520 also. It's exactly the same fitting.
Fonctionne parfaitement pour EPSON WF-7520. L'assemblage est identique
Can't find a print head for a WF 635 in the US, China has them but refuse to order from there.
They will appear on ebay from time to time. I had a few but sold a few months back. Don't have any now and probably won't since it is a rare model.
How do you clean the head - Do you just soak it in Isopropyl alcohol and water 50/50 solution?
Use hydrogen peroxide
Best solution I found was "LA's Totally Awesome" cleaner sold in dollar stores like Dollar tree, etc, and maybe some other general stores. Mix half hot water, half the cleaner. make sure to rinse of very well after soaking.
@@303electronics So, I can just submerge the entire print head that we just took out into the “Awesome” solution?
@@sexualbutterfly I recommend to submerge just the bottom of printhead. About quarter of an inch of solution.
I need to replace 435 I cannot move the print head to be able to open it
Where do you all recommend buying new print heads?
Hi. I bought on eBay and Amazon before. Check feedback of sellers before buying.
Thankyou!!Thank-you!!!
You're welcome! Have a great day!
Can you tell us the part number for the head o this printer?
What is your printer model? I think it is F190000 on Workforce 545 and similar. See this listing for reference. It is not my item, just a listing I found:

👍👍👍
Thanks! Have a great day!
@@303electronics Yes thank you, success always
Inept description, sloppy camera work.
