I just got this laptop about a week ago, and gaming with it takes me roughly 2 hours, and doing a lot of Microsoft office work takes about 2 hrs too. Should I be worried about the battery life??
Yeah. First off, performance is throttled hard on battery when gaming. That's normal. As far as two hours...no. I get five to seven on battery. If the GPU doesn't sleep, I get two hours. This is an Nvidia bug. When not gaming and on battery, try going into the Nvidia control panel and set global preference to Integrated. GPU should sleep, batt time should go way way up
My pavilion gaming comes standard with only 8GB (booo!!!) Just bought 2 sticks of Crucial 16GB RAM 3200. Niiiiiice! You can use speccy (from Piriform) to check the specs of your RAM.
I ended up choosing GPT over MBR because it’s just the newer and more advanced type of partition. MBR is only really for those workers or companies that still use older versions of windows for their work, as far as what a friend of mine has told me.
From what most people say, it has a general creaking noise when you open it or close it. But from my own experience, the hinge really doesn’t have a very noticeable creak. It really just depends on your own experience with it, but for me, I feel like it’s not problematic at all.
