    As one tech to another I should suggest you add one thing to this sort of video my laptop is a gaming 15 DK and the four screws in the back if you look closely are NOT the same length! so when a user removes screws from a laptop like this, they should lay them out next to the laptop in the same pattern so that the same screw goes back in the same hole... I use a piece of tape that I stick the heads of the screws on so that way they stay where I put them

    Guys, I have the same model of pavilion, do you actually recommend upgrading the RAM, my dad had to upgrade his computer too and they said that is not a safe thing to do, especially on pre-assembled computers, since people came back complaining after their computer got broken. if you have installed the RAM, did the laptop accepted it? have you ever had problems since then? It's just that I wanna be sure, I need more RAM but I also need my pc to be intact hahaha.

      so after using laptop for awhile its safe to say you want another 8gb of ram, for example rocketleague and fortnite with settings on low and doing a bunch of tweeks to the laptop from yt vids rl gets well over 100fps and fortnite sits around there but this is with settings on LOW, a more demanding game i play is rust and with all the settings on its lowest without looking like complete garbage it gets 70 fps but i had to set the cap on 60 bc it would freeze up making it impossible to play

    • @jocal9800
      @jocal9800 3 года назад +1

      so if you have the 225gb memory model id say get it up to 550gb as youll eat that up 225gb but if you have more memory alr your good but i highly recommend more ram as youll be able to rise your fps and settings in ur games as 8gb is j not enough anymore. for taking off the back just be careful and use something like what this guys uses as i used a screw driver and i messed up the memory slot on the side. oh and extend your warranty if you still have it bc my laptop is in the shop bc it randomly shut off and im guessing its the motherboard and thats basically impossible to fix but if i had extending warrenty id be getting a new one rn

    may i ask where you bought the new stick of ram? (I was planning to go to best buy but I couldn't find it on their website) and in the description it says
    "Supports up to 32 GB maximum system memory in the following configurations:
    ● 16 GB (16 GB × 1 or 8 GB × 2)
    ● 12 GB (8 GB × 1 + 4 GB × 1)
    ● 8 GB (8 GB × 1 or 4 GB × 2)"
    did you just not put 16 GB x2? one last thing is it basically the same with the model 16?

    I have the same ram model as you, but I got confused when I check in task manager that my speed ram is 2933 Mhz, but the package says it 3200 Mhz, so which one is the correct speed?

    • @onza3981

      Trust task manager as it knows exactly whats happening and when is happening

    • @tranquility6789
      @tranquility6789 3 года назад +1

      Most likely because the other ram stick is 2933, and the other ram stick will also go to 2933.

    am I supposed to use the old stick or do I have to buy 2 new ones?

    • @Scxrpionz
      @Scxrpionz 2 года назад

      If you’re gonna use the same speed of ram (for example here, 3200 MHz), then no, just buy the one. But if you want faster speeds, then go ahead and buy 2.

    Very well laid out info. I have this laptop and it's my first foray into PC gaming. I love it. Only issue is mine came with 2 4g ram sticks instead of one eight. Should I jump to two 8g or just swap out one? And do you have any videos how to put in the 2.5 sata? (Found it)

    That was well done, but I want to increase the SSD memory, which is so small. I would like say 1 TB. Can you buy and install this yourself? Also eventually the battery will go, and this is the first laptop I've had that didn't have the battery more easily accessible. Thanks, I only saw the long screws at first look! (mine is 15-ec0102AX)

    i like vid man. i like how u explain things nice and clear I'm really new at IT and this helped me a lot. I actually want to upgrade the RAM in my system i have the the same device. Can replace the RAM i already have with a pair of faster speed RAM? What i have is 2400mhz and i would like a little faster at 3200mhz. thx

    • @warlockiii1846
      @warlockiii1846 2 года назад +1

      It depends if your Mainboard supports it. But 3200 shouldnt be too fast for it, but look it up beforehand. There are PDF files for your laptop and your mainboard should be described there

    Great video. Wonder if anyone can help, please: I have a HP Pavillion Gaming Laptop model 15-ec0xxx. Are the internals similar to the one in this video. Computer is reporting a faulty fan so I'd like to replace it but not sure what part number/fan to buy.

    • @warlockiii1846
      @warlockiii1846 2 года назад +1

      You should be able to take it apart like in the video. Then u should see the fans with an qr code. Scan the code and you get the number of the fan. Look it up online
      This should do it for ya

      Not necessary, it must be at same MHz and Gl values. That's enough at least. But if u use same one it would be more efficient.
