Yeah they're really common for touring bikes, I really like the convenience of STIs but the mechanism broke on one and I've also had one jammed by a broken cable. I think one of the main draws these days is that you can make them work with weird combinations of cassette/derailleur.
My right shifter requires that I push quite hard for each click. Yours also seem to be like that. Is it normal for Shimano Dura-Ace? I would like to be able to shift with a finger or two but must use a stronger grip around the lever to actuate the shifter… 🤨🧐

The bar end shifters were state of the art back in the 60s, an alternative to down tube shifters. I didn’t know you could still get them.

can you use the righd side as a friction lever?
Nope they took that functionality out of this model for some reason, it is index shift only.
Compatible with grx rear d or not?
Yeah it should be if you get the 11 speed version!
