That is neat shifter. One suggestion. The right shift lever should have “D-ring” instead of having to use an Allen wrench. That way, you can switch between index and friction quickly while out on the trails.

So helpful, just swapped the stock drop bars on my gravel bike to flat bars. This was my first bike project dealing with cables, these shifters seem nice, can't wait to try this puppy out. Thanks!

The 12-speed sram eagle compatible version is great. Love it. So wonderful to crest a climb and then with a simple sweep shift down five or six cogs.

Thanks. I have MicroShifters already installed, but need to replace a cable. Another video out there makes it look much more difficult, says you have to take shifter apart. I like the the click shift for the rear derailleur, but had no idea you could change it to friction so easily. In case you can't tell, I am a newbie at bike repair.

hi! My girlfriend will be temporarily disabled on her left hand. She has a 1x10 setup so I need to install the right shifter on the left side, is this possible? can I just use the left shifter in friction mode to shift through the whole cassette? or can I swap the shifter to the left mount?

Going to get a set for my old touring bike I'm updating from bar end shifters. Am I the only one to see that the person in the video was putting the cable stealth on the wrong side???? He stuck it on the RH side were the front derailer cable goes.

Really??? 9.5 minutes for this? First off, indexing for how many gears? I watched it twice, no reference to that. Secondly, only old guys are gonna know what thumb shifters are, and, we already know how to do that... been there, done that... This is new??? What throw derailleurs does it work on??? Of course I mean rear... sorry y'all, not really feeling this one. How much $??? What does it replace/upgrade??? I'm more confused now, than before I watched this video... not giving it a thumbs down, but, no thumbs up either.

We are rolling out installation procedures to all of our components to support shop/first time mechanics and make their lives easier. We did roll out new compatibilities on these shifters that are at the bottom of this page: www.microshift.com/en/do-your-own-thing/

Don't be offended Microshift, OlRoy is obviously a first timer lookin for a foolproof plug n play solution to a problem his inexperience created

I used these to switch from MicroShift bar end shifters on a drop bar to a Jones bar. I got them mail order for about $80 from a small shop in OH, but had someone else install them. They work fine on a Shimano Deore LX. I did have to index them again when I started getting gear skip on the rear, but it was simple and got it right in just a few minutes. I have been using them for over 2 years - 7,000 miles. I like them.
