For those people wanting to know why the grader went down the center of that snowbank, you should listen to the two operators on the radio at the 2-minute Mark. The truck driver asked the grader operator if he should try to move the large snowbank. The Grader operator told him no, he would split it up first. Therefore, it sounds as if it probably would have been too much for the truck to easily plow through.
@@pauliewalnuts7088 pretty easy.. truck has fixed flow that pushes the snow in one direction.. it would slow the truck down and start making it drift to the snow bank. the grader has a v plow so the snow will got both ways then the truck can come and hit each win row separately
was walking the road in caddilac michigan and the snow was one foot plus. the driver picked me up and holy shit. what a ride. he must have been throwing snow 60 feet. my brother in law was in the ditch and the guy said. you want to see me bury him till spring?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Grader with the v plow makes the first pass then the plow truck comes behind to push and throw the snow. Then we take another swipe with the v plow to cut out more snow working our way to the Center every time the plow truck throws it all to the outside. And yes I am the grader operator in this.
Must be government snowplow drivers on overtime. Step 1, first driver in the truck clears the snow, the road looks pretty good. Step 2, driver in the grader, redeposits the snow from the area the truck just cleared. Step 3, refer to Step 1. I rest my case!! 😆
Right? Makes perfect sense to me too. If you want the snow to end up off to both sides, push it into the middle. These are the same people who brought us the $500 hammer and the $3200 toilet seat. Cool video but as the comments show there are more Q then A. I could speculate but it would help if the poster could give us some details of why the snow seems to be moving around VS blowing pushing it well to the side.
To slow to blow the snow. We need to open the road 80ft wide. Plow truck is way faster. Just use the grader to split out the snow or it would pull the plow truck in.

All gps. Guys in a haglund amphibious vehicle check the ice thickness and mark the road with sticks and black garbage bags about every half a klick so we can see them.
Is this on a big lake? And are they moving the snow around so the sun doesn't hit parts of the ice for to long? Or is the road developing cracks and it's getting moved over?

Exactly. Some people will never learn. Just look at how fast the grader bogged down from high RPM to a lower, more powerful, rate. The truck wouldn't have made it 10 feet in that.

The only diamond mine I know of that need to go thru snow are siberia and canada. Those roads go over lakes, so it isn't Ice melt solution, maybe a gas tank?

BigBoss 429 the grader couldn't move that windrow of snow at the beginning by itself,you can hear the way the engine Boggs down a little.
