    Got to wonder how long those piles last down there? I used to live in a small town in Michigan's UP called Houghton. Lots of snow, averaging over 200" (508cm) per year. They had a spot like this to dump their snow and supposedly it took until sometime in August for it to completely melt away. This spot in Montreal is several orders of magnitude bigger. It would not surprise me if the piles there never completely melt before new snow is dumped. I just looked at this location on Google Earth and scrolled back through the picture archive. One from October 2017 still shows some dirty piles of snow still down there. And another from November of 2017 show smaller, but still visible piles. November of 2012 it looks like the piles were totally gone though. December of 2005 still had fairly large piles of dirty snow in the NW part of the quarry. So it looks like yes, in some years the snow piles don't completely melt, which is kind of awesome if you ask me.😄

      In a 2019 cbc article : At Montreal's largest snow dump, in the Saint-Michel neighbourhood, about 175,000 cubic metres still hasn't melted. The city says it's the most snow to survive the summer since 2008. At the city's other snow dumps, heavy machinery crushes the snow that doesn't melt, but here there's just too much snow.

    • @SEBTECHDIY
      @SEBTECHDIY Год назад +5

      No can't really be used. It's full of garbage, salt and rocks. You don't want this in the environment. The Saint-Michel Quarry is an old garbage dump so it's the perfect place to put that "bad" snow. They can treat the garbages on site and contain that polluted water in que quarry. @@PEAKTOP.

    I can’t imagine how polluted that water must get..all that run off when the snow melts. Sure wouldn’t do any water skiing in the summer downstream.

      привет, это старый карьер. В пруду есть насос для откачки воды в канализацию летом, вода будет очищаться бытовой водой. Это дыра, как мусор может попасть в океан?

    That poor snowblower guy. He sees the same patch of ground, over and over again, all season long.
    He cleans it. The trucks mess it up again. He cleans it. They dump again. Rinse. Repeat.

      At least, there is no people dead by snow blower.

      @@hailong_Vlog уточняю товарища, причинили свободу и нанесли демократию. Про урон здоровью от снегоуборочной техники. Вы уверены, что никто и никогда не получал урона от спецтехники? Первое что всплывает в памяти это актер Джереми Реннер, сыгравший роль "Соколиного глаза" в Марвел. Уже год восстанавливается после травмы. Ну а про жителей Канады, искренне можем только порадоваться.

    Wow. His stupidity trashed that dump trailer. You guys see the twist in that trailer?
    Did we learn anything about moving or TURNING with your bed in the air today kids?
    Probably not,,,,,😂🤪.
    $10 bucks says that guy dont obblay englaise. 😂.
    Sadly, they dont even teach em to slide their tandems BACK in bad weather to put MORE weight on the drives.
    I see tons of tractor trailers in the ditch with their trailer tandems on 53 & 57 footers slid the whole way up in blizzards.
    No common sense whatsoever. 😂😂

      Both of yall do not know that Montreal has nowhere to put 2/3 of a meter of snow for all winter, this is the only way that they can keep it from building up on the streets and sidewalks none the less flood houses and businesses when it melts. Cities are cheap I can tell you with confidence that this is the cheapest if what they can do
