No, if you're an 11 Xray you can be randomly selected for either 11 Bravo, or 11 Charlie while at your holding unit before basic training. If you're joining with an 11 Bravo contract, you will be guaranteed to be one once you pass. Same goes with 11 Charlie.

I meet my sergent and the boss they came to my house and did everything i would like to do military police and patrol the streets on my town but the soldier who gave me ride back home from taking the test he told me im gonna hear from them in 30 days but in case they would not i got an offer to work for the city from customer who comes to our place to eat.

11C Forever; same route 11X and became an 11C - in my Opinion; BEST JOB in the Army. Retired now but loved my time and Career!
