@@corbettknowles9942 When I went through Army BCT back in 2006, reception is where you do inprocessing, medical, uniform issue, and various other things. You're not in Basic Training yet, and you don't have a Drill Sergeant yet. Cellphones were not turned in yet since Reception is a different Battalion than the one you'll be assigned to for Basic. So they want you to have all of the stuff you came with, on you instead of turned in somewhere. That happened after getting to basic, you'd turn in your contraband (any jewelry or civilian cloths) and cellphones. However nowadays I think recruits do have cellphones in basic since the payphones have been removed. I don't know how it is now, but from what I've heard from people who went in years after me is that cellphones are kept away from recruits except on Sundays to call home like we used to with the payphones. What we see here is a recruit in reception waiting to go to Basic, but due to covid madness he was in quarantine. Camp Kelly is a quarantine building for people who have tested positive for Rona, there are others reasons why people are sent there but that is the big one recently. 30th AG's barracks are very depressing, I'd rather have tested positive for Covid than stay there another night lol
The most you'll do is 20-40 pushups, burpees, whatevers on the menu. Yellow phase at Benning is all conducted at 30 AG's reception. We ate more than we did PT, I gained 20 pounds because of it lol but that weight was lost by blue phase easily
JROTC will give you an E-3 I know. A E-4 with no time is service looks good to new crewts but will stunt you for a long time as far as a promotion to E-5 and the board will take pleasure making sure you know EVERY question in the PLDC book as well as every course according to your MOS and smart book.
Rona basic was ass (we got hit in blue phase) we lost our family day and nobody could attend our graduation. You’re lucky you won’t have to deal with such bs lol
Make sure you do well at AIT for your MOS if you fail a test 5 times at AIT your kicked out the army. Make sure you take your ssid and BTC class(NCO PROFESSIONAL SERVICE RIBBON)so it will help you get your points to get promoted to E5 AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD CONDUCT! For three years it's very hard to very promoted without that. And if you can go to boards competition if you can win you can get a AM ribbon or a Arcomm which adds points to getting promoted.

Probably ROTC I passed my asvab and I gotta go to meps they already did my finger prints I was in ROTC all 4 years of highschool my recruiter said I could go in as an E3 OR E4 I'll update later with a ship out date and contract 6/11/24
Wait UNTILL he has to put that stuff on .
Kelly hill?? It used to be the 30th AG. Down range was sand hill. And when the hell were you allowed to keep your cell phones any where at the ITB???
He’s in quarantine from the plandemic times
Your in service? So.. no new H&k vids for awhile? :/
I’m going to be going to BCT here soon (19K) any good advice? Does and DONTS????
Keep your head up and stay determined and keep the lord close you be fine bro
I was an 11 Series so I'm not sure what all 19K go through. Just remember it's all a game, and it doesn't represent what the Real Army is like.
DO make eye contact with your drill Sergeant as you bite your bottom lip.
Don't spit, swallow
Mouth shut, ears open, suffer in silence, don’t touch your face, and never ever put your dick skinners in your pockets!
This is the most boot shit Ive found yet 😂. I realize it’s 2 years old and I hope you’re progressing well in your career.
He got medically discharged after 6 weeks
This is a heat and useful vid, thanks.
it snowed there the fall of 1977.dont ask me how i know A-8-2
So I’m Confused Do I Need To Buy Hygiene Stuff And Bring It To Basic Or Not??
No.
No. If you got a packing list or something from your recruiter they give you money and make you buy it there anyway anything you bought is probably staying in your personal bag.
@@owenmassman6273 Still confusing though. I've heard at reception, they'll make you literally throw certain things away, so if certain things can stay in your personal bag, why do they make you throw things away?
Are you prior service? Just curious how you got in that nice ass room for reception😂
Camp Kelly is a quarantine building for people who have tested positive for Rona, there are others reasons why people are sent there but that is the big one recently. 30th AG's barracks are very depressing, I'd rather have tested positive for Covid than stay there another night lol
Harmony Church, January 1985, Alpha 10-2, a long time ago.
A Spc4 At Basic? How Does That Work?
I could have enlisted like that, 4 years of mcjrotc. But i ship nedt monday and I missed the chance to provide my transcript.
College degree, I’m going in as an E3 cause I’m 4 credits shy of my bachelor’s.
went thru 30th 4 years and its amazing how much things have changed thru out time lmao
Wait....30th AG let's y'all keep your cells now????
Doesn't all that come out of your paycheck? Sound like a really cpappy deal for to leagly getting away with killing another human for rich people.
What company are you in? I'm currently in D co 1-19
Never be afraid to stand up for truth and alway fight to defend our constitution
Good luck in training bro.
Wow in my country they military people have to buy themselves all that stuff
is that a MOPP suit ?
Can you PT in yellow phase?
The most you'll do is 20-40 pushups, burpees, whatevers on the menu. Yellow phase at Benning is all conducted at 30 AG's reception. We ate more than we did PT, I gained 20 pounds because of it lol but that weight was lost by blue phase easily
How did you get E-4 before basic??? I must know 😂
4 year degree or possible fire dept and emt certification
JROTC will give you an E-3 I know. A E-4 with no time is service looks good to new crewts but will stunt you for a long time as far as a promotion to E-5 and the board will take pleasure making sure you know EVERY question in the PLDC book as well as every course according to your MOS and smart book.
Rona basic was ass (we got hit in blue phase) we lost our family day and nobody could attend our graduation. You’re lucky you won’t have to deal with such bs lol
Ship out to Leonard wood in august
Camp Kelly 😂😂😂 I remember those days...
Dude u really just said the E-4 rank looks like an colonel rank? Do push-ups do some fucking push ups
😂🤘
Make sure you do well at AIT for your MOS if you fail a test 5 times at AIT your kicked out the army. Make sure you take your ssid and BTC class(NCO PROFESSIONAL SERVICE RIBBON)so it will help you get your points to get promoted to E5 AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD CONDUCT! For three years it's very hard to very promoted without that. And if you can go to boards competition if you can win you can get a AM ribbon or a Arcomm which adds points to getting promoted.
what's your MOS?
good luck solder!
This is so weird receiving is crazy I thought ud be In with 90 dudes and no phones
Since when do you get Sp4 patches in basic?
Back in the day it was common place for prior service guys who came back. For the most part they were VN VETS. They were given BCT positions as PLT Guide and Squad Leaders according to re-entry DOR.
Havnt been there since 2005.. wild
Times
Wow Kelly hill , what happen to sand hill … I went to basic at harmony church …
It sucks bad that I was unable to be in the military I would really like to experience real life basic training even at my ripe old age of 38
USCG recently increased the maximum age of enlistment to 42.
Ill be joining at 33, i just need to pass the stupid TAPAS exam and ill be shipped in October
Why’d they abbreviate your last name?
Hey bro, I’m a prior service Marine and tryna go 11b, maybe 18x, I have to go to boot camp again cuz I’ve been out 5 years. Any insight on prior service dudes and how boot camp is for them? I don’t wanna be special, but if I eat 3 times a day I’m gonna shred weight, I gotta eat like 8 times a day to stay swole.
Basically, just trynna see if prior service guys get leeway with going to a small place that sells food like a convenience store
Your not an E-4 when you go through basic training either
Not true. There are plenty of SPC and even some SGTs if they’re prior service in BCT/OSUT
I was in alpha company too while I was at 30th AG
