After Cody Walker disclosed his HIV status, he lost his job, relationship, and almost his life. His whole life turned around for the better after he decided to confront the stigma head on.

As a heterosexual male in my teens and 20s I did some of the craziest things in life especially with women under the influence being reckless putting my life and health at risk acting impulsive under the influence of alcohol essentially lost looking to fill a void in my heart. Now in my early 30s & since certain things transpired in my life I've been able to take a step back and think cautiously before I act & watching these videos really helps me honestly; they humble me. I'm thankful to be STD & HIV free & I feel for all these people gay straight trans doesn't matter.

They fucking gave him HIV and then one of them tells him "I think you'd better find another place to live?" It's no way. I would've got 2 murder charges because that's just ridiculously insane.

There is nothing in the story that indicates they had anything to do with his HIV diagnosis. Grow up. It's very unlikely he was a virgin before he met these guys.

I'd take that with a grain of salt, gay men can live a long life being HIV positive ?everyone dosen't have the same body, or HIV complications. People are dieing every day from hiv complications. It's taboo among gay men community to even bring the subject up.

I wish this brave man well but I think he is minimizing what it is like to actually become HIV+.
With the newer meds it really is just taking a pill a day.
I’ve used the older cocktails and combo pills and never got the results I get now when it comes to containing the virus.

Thank you, Hon! I admire your courage. It's one thing to come out as gay but quite another to come out as a Poz. There is a lot of ignorance and prejudice out there regarding those of us who are pozes and being gay and a poz often ends up being a double whammy! Fact is when you're on your meds and your viral load is undetectable you cannot transmit the virus----the CDC and 400 international health organizations say so!!

+rc5chi Whatever he meant to say, it probably came out wrong. The truth of the matter is that HIV rates are not going down. They're going up and at an alarming rate. We hear so often of these stories of people who get HIV and how they persevere. That's fantastic that a person is able to do that. I can't imagine how hard it must be to be told that news. Thankfully, it isn't a death sentence and gay men are able to live long, normal lives, and I think it's great that this gentlemen here was able to find the light at the end of the tunnel.
HIV shouldn't be part of our reality, though. There's always a slight disappointment in me whenever I hear a gay man say he's HIV positive. I say that without any type of conviction, and I'm not trying to ignite HIV shaming. But, when will our community begin to have this discussion and the implications of sex, open relationships and monogamy. That's not to say one is moral or better than the other. This is our community.
