A Walk Around The City Centre, Oslo, Norway

- The inner city centre is bounded by Oslo Central Station (Oslo S) to the east, the Royal Palace (Slottet) to the west and the seafront (from Akershus fortress to Aker brygge) to the south. It is fairly compact and easily walkable. Karl Johans gate, the mostly pedestrian main street connecting Oslo S and the Palace, is the main artery of downtown Oslo. However, several of the neighbourhoods close to the centre hold interesting sights and entertainment offerings, so to explore these you should make use of the city's comprehensive and modern public transport system.
I have never been to Oslo but I have been to Stockholm and many swedish people say they are similar. For me Scandinavia is the best place in the world. It is very clean developed and tidy.
Really Oslo is the amazing 👍city, and citizens of Norway🇳🇴.
What a wonderful country Norway is!

Kátia Fonseca Muto , wish I knew about that when I was there. I saw the big lighted electric billboard on Karl Johan Gate, but I had no idea what it was. I actually thought it was a clock or watch company.

so so so so so beautiful country
Wow, everyone is so fashionable there. But in a minimal sort of way. I guess Norse Minimalism is a real thing.
@Communist Jesus 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol as a Norwegian there’s no such thing as “Norse Minimalism.” It’s not the Viking era. Yes Scandinavian fashion and interior is all about simplicity, clean, and quality.

Beautiful country ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You're in the most developed country in the world... enjoy our ever-cold-Oslo
What you mean by "ever cold"?
"Ever cold Oslo" Oslo is cold!? Ever been to Northern Norway? Oslo has temperatures of around 20-30 degrees celsius in spring while it’s still snowing on a may month in Troms and Finnmark.
This year is so cold in Oslo but Tromso has better temperature!
No loud super cars? Boring.
This is the best place in my country.

Lol what? Norway is a multicultural society. There are immigrants regardless of ethnicity/race in all
of Norway. And it is the capital dhu. More people.
Es hermoso caminar alrededor del centro de la ciudad de Oslo, siempre he querido vivir por lo menos un año en esa hermosa ciudad y la cultura de ese país me atrae mucho
Can we're interest you in a possible trade? Chicago and Detroit for Oslo?

what camera and type do you use to make your videos?
I am using a Canon T4i since 2012, but in a few weeks. I’m finally going to upgrade to a mirror less Canon M50. Very excited. It’s time.

Ive updated my cameras since then. This was an old Canon T4i, shooting at 1080p
I am from Sweden. I went to Oslo last week. The roads sucks very small.
The roads sucks, lol yeah I'm sure, I live in Norway and most Norwegians see Sweden as a hellhole... What do you need your good roads for, to drive to a no go zone and get a grenade thrown in your car? :) And do you seriously think Norwegian roads sucks compared to kurdish roads, lol :)
And one more thing, Norways roads/streets mostly have broad sidewalks, even France, Italy, Britain and Spain have lots of streets with super-small, shitty sidewalks. Then we have better roads than France, Italy, Britain, Spain to use your LOW IQ logic, because I have seen this! And that is all that is, nothing else... Lol.
@ ! He is pointing out a fact I thought everyone agreed on ,with our roads. I m sure there are worse roads in some countries, but it's a weird argument. So often people say their liked so and so in Norway ,but were negatively surprised about the roads .
My man always commented on it ,too.
You should go back to your country. Islam does not belong in Sweden.
Very nice norway..

Hi this isn't the city center of Oslo. Its the Carl Johans gate, the royal palas, stortinget, nationaltheatret, university of Oslo, just saying
It's definitely among the most important parts of the city center, though. Maybe the most important, but Stortinget/Egertorget/Eidsvolds plass and Nationaltheatret/Slottet is almost as important though, I agree.
Are Norwegian kind of not open in terms of foreigners?
I’m Brazilian and I would like to visit Norway. I’ve heard they don’t like foreigners....I wish someone could help me with this doubt that I have, if possible. Thanks in advance.
Iam from Cyprus and all cypriots we love spectacular Norway! The stunning fjords, the amazing mountains, the lovely parks, the unique northern lights, the pleasant weather especially in the summer, midnight sun.......... Norway is the best!!!

The building height is like from Asian wherein you cannot typically find in Europe
Pretty much all the big cities in europe have a area with skyscrapers but most buildings are very old
londonhas much taller and newer buildings
It's sad because I'm determined to live there, but I'm Asian so I'll be looking up all the time.
jernebarnetorget is the only dostrict in oslo with considerable tall buildings, all the other districts are beautiful old apartaments in grid squares, and also suburbia
Hi .
I'm really enthusiastic about talking to a Norwegian friend, because I really am interested in figuring out what's going on in Norway.
Is anyone here to do me a favor? And if you are Norwegian please answer back.
Thank you very much indeed.

1:58. (2:01). Dear Michael,. I was wondering if you know about or have examples of "the Norwegian way of illuminating Christmas Tree LIGHTS ❓
.
In London it is said that London is given a commemorative Christmas Tree, from the city of Oslo, every year.
.
I was interested to find proof of there being an Oslo method or tradition of illuminating a Christmas Tree; can you say or show me a photo of any such Christmas Trees ❓ Those decorated with lights that go from top to bottom, in a straight line ❗
.
I looked for a few hours but found only one picture but it does not say where THAT Christmas Tree was.
.
I had a shop in Sydney, Australia.
I developed an interest in the interpretation of Christmas in a retail setting, and do am intrigued and amazed that such a specific tradition occurred and is maintained in Oslo.
Any readers may write or show me such am illuminated Christmas Tree (LIGHTS), or you yourself Michael, if you're not busy.
.
Have A Nice Day.
