Off to Oslo tomorrow the fist time in 30years, I’m not great using public transport so this video has been very useful thanks for taking the time to make it
Pro tip: instead of the ridiculously expensive Flytoget, take the Norwegian Railways (VY) regional train lines RE10, RE11 or R12. They depart from the same station, arrive to the same station, have the same frequency and comfort, and take the same amount of time, but price is HALF of Flytoget. Flytoget is just a scam for unaware tourists.
Many have said that the Regional express trains that leave the airport and head to Oslo Central are much cheaper than Flytoget. (RE 11 and R 12). I guess they a bit slower, but not much. Now, I have no personal experience, but I am heading to Oslo in a few months, and that is what others have said.
so its 22$ to go to the central station for only 1 travel, do you know if i can buy in the airport a bus card ( to use the different bus/tram line) once i will be in the center of oslo ?
Cheapest is the Vy regional train. Flytoget has their own door to the platforms at Oslo central. They are to the far right of the platform banks, down the stairs from the rest of the access tunnels. Clearly marked by signs, and with ticket terminals.
This is so helpful, I have to visit Oslo for work this week and I'm a very anxious traveller so this has put my mind at ease knowing how it all works.
So happy to hear that you found the video helpful, I hope you have a great stay in Oslo!

This was so very helpful!! Thank you for posting. It's taken away all my anxiety in figuring this out.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I am using this as my guide to get to central station next week.
Very helpful as we're staying at Gardermoen for one day of visit to Oslo, then into Oslo central the next day for the train out. Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching, I hope you enjoy Oslo! 🙂
Will be in Oslo next week so thank you for this!
Huge thanks for this! Taking mom in May for mothers day
I love arriving at Oslo, since I FLYTOGET to my final destination
Thanks! Very useful for 1st time travellers to oslo 😊
Almost no people around! Nice video!
Really helpful!
Oslo is the best and Flytoget is number one!
I stayed at The Thon Opera Hotel in July 2023. Excellent location in Oslo. Loved my time there. Wished we could have stayed longer.
Thank you. Very helpful. Going there in few days ❤
if you want to save arround 150 NOK take the normal local train. It takes 7 minutes more to get into Oslo S.
@@xaco18 thanks I took a bus. Already in Norway. Seven day Reut travel card is helpful I guess
Thank you so much
Makes me happy that you found this helpful! 😀

Hi thank you for the video.
Is oslo central station the same as jembanetorget?
Oslo Sentral station is a building - in front and outside you find Jernbanetorget.
❤❤❤
Use vy train to get too oslo central stasjon. Not flytoget. It is half price, but it taks 3 minuts more.
Who cares about a 3 mins difference
It’s not much

Yes it is. 😊
I rode it and it is very good value for money.
About 4 minutes slower and just over half the price of Flytoget.

I would recommend downloading the "Ruter #" app for this, you can buy tickets in the app, it is for public transport in Oslo city 🙂
Way more better then Arlanda Express
And how it works from Oslo Central station to Oslo Airport? and what is the cheapest way?
Cheapest is the Vy regional train.
Flytoget has their own door to the platforms at Oslo central. They are to the far right of the platform banks, down the stairs from the rest of the access tunnels. Clearly marked by signs, and with ticket terminals.
Can we pay as money instead of card payment for train ticket
If you look at the ticket machines, the one to the left is cash and card, the others are card only.
so expensive
