Finally, an honest review. You are the first to dare to mention the slightly different driving characteristics of the spider. Nice that it is still honest people who cannot be seduced by the producer. Maybe the name plays in :-)
I wouldn't say that the other reviews are not honest, but rather they don't have the credentials as Henry.

Henry Lerche Rasmussen thank you for pointing this out as I was just about to comment the same thing and it’s the reason why although I enjoy watching the “RUclipsrs” reviews I will always rely on guys like this for accurate, professional driving opinions rather than just reciting everything they have just been told in the press release by Mclaren 20 mins prior
The thing I hate the most, is that most of the video that "reviewers" make is just them flooring it and giggling at how fast it is, then to say the handling is "really good" just to go back to flooring it.
Didn't know that this spider is not identical to the coupe in rigidity. Disappointing as that was a McLaren trademark.
Not sure you would get sucked out of the roof at 202mph but I am sure if I had a McLaren 720s Spyder there is a great chance I could get sucked off! :D

I think it's remarkable how consistent McLaren has been in recent years in terms of quality in their cars. They haven't gone wrong in any model they made in the past decade.

yeah, a car like this makes too much sense to not pick the Spider over the Coupe. I saw earlier today that Bentley expects to sell 70% of their new Continentals as convertibles and that just doesn't make sense to me given the compromises. This however.... Should only come as a Spider

Before Carfection I'd probably say Chris Harris on Cars (before Top Gear) and Harry's Garage were my favourite car channels on YT but Carfection have taken it to another level and is definitely my favourite car channel on YT now.
Arizona resident here...drop top is a must.

They had to close the road for this, there is absolutely no way they filmed this whole video here in America without a pickup truck riding around blocking the road. I think for once I’m more jealous of the open road than the actual amazing car.

Chassis rigidity is huge for me. I have a 675LT and it’s rock solid. If I’m getting the 720 or it’s derivatives then it has to be the coupe for me. Great review!

Great review - in fact Catchpole’s reviews are, overall, the best out there at the moment. Balanced critique, coupled with stunning locations and filming, with a few fun facts and a bit of humour thrown in too. Perfect.
Bravo for identifying, and stating, that there really IS difference in driving dynamics between the Spider and the Coupe, Henry.
So many of these RUclipsrs, I feel, get so caught up in the excitement that, in all honesty, their objectivity is sorely and painfully lacking. And very obviously so.
As always Henry, a quality (albeit brief) and objective assessment.

This car is amazingly docile and easy to drive until you want it to melt your face. I drove the spider and you can hear the turbos whisping and chirping... Amazing

The added strength to the C pillars is mainly for the rollover rigidity and not performance gains. I think this should be mentioned if the reviewers are talking technical
