@@abit9485 you do realize he set a lap time in the gt2 rs mr 1 second off lars, right? that means he could probably get it around the ring in under 6:50. He races gt3 cars, classics at goodwood, and can drift at 100mph while delivering coherent, informative content to the viewer. How are his driving skills inadequate to you?
You see, Paul plays Forza Motorsport once every saturday. He clearly is an expert when it comes ro driving. Don't mind his empty garage and the fact that he is 12. He certainly knows more about driving than some of your wannabe racing drivers, like Chris Harris, Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher. So Paul's statements are more relevant than you scrub could imagine.

I love the flying lap at the end. No music or commentary, just proper driving and a real sense of what the car is doing right up near the limit. Lovely.

I come back to this video whenever I have had a hard day and it changes it all. The way Chris Harris drives leaves me in awe every single time.
For those of you who love cars but haven’t truly driven on a track before, know that this thing is making double the power most folks could use on a road course starting out. The last part of this video reminds us what an epic wheelman Monkey is.
Instructors and veterans in road racing will tell you:
“…it’s easier to learn to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slowly.”
Hence the popularity among enthusiasts and track addicts for Miata’s, Subaru BRZs, Golfs, GTIs, Lotus Elise’s, and countless other great handling, underpowered sports cars.
It’s easier to probe a car’s limits when you can work your way up to them at a comfortable pace.
Consequently, that hot lap by Chris at the end is both brutal and awe inspiring. Look at how much he’s working his lines and the wheel to keep the thing where he wants it while constantly adding speed.
Exploring the limits of a car this quick on track is like taming a pair of lions in your living room… 💪 🙌

This sort of content on a grander scale would be incredible, but Top Gear has long been an “entertainment” show for the masses, unfortunately.

By quality do you include reliability as I am aware of some shocking durability issues with ,what seems like ,McLaren relying on purchasing customers to carry out their faultfinding/troubleshooting/product testing within the first few hundred miles of ownership?

What beautiful content every time. You guys always nail it right on the head in every facet. The videography and editing is sublime and no one can review a car like Chris. On top of it the decision to add over-the-shoulder fast laps fills the only void your videos might have had and shows us the character of the car perfectly, to where if you drive cars like this you can almost feel what it would be like to drive. And Chris' face during that full corner drift! Well done boys, I feel like I just snapped out of a meditation.

Yes, exactly. If you are loaded, the 720S is Perrier performance at a tap water price (if 300K is ever tap water...but you get the point when cars priced 2 and 3 times as much have nothing on it). The looks are just top of the line...sleek and yet menacing.
And actually faster on streets. Senna might feel and transmit more and better, but 800k worth of difference for what is a slower car and slightly faster than a 720s on corsas? 20/20 setup on cup r pista tires, and it will give it a massive run for it's money.

The video length is very interesting but suddenly when I tap the video it is 1 second shorter now but anyway I'm still inlove with the 720S since 2017 😍😍

And the P1 has 900 HP where the 720S has 725 HP.

You can option a 20,000$ VIP package and McLaren build the car properly, must also mean the car will work because i have one and it works 50% of the time.

This is my favorite car video ever!
Should have included a list of times from other cars on the screen.
So far i think they have only released video for this and 911 gt2rs mr...the 911 was 5 seconds quicker.
Bi5cuitswitha5 the laf, 918, and p1 as well
1:54.75 puts it half a second slower than LaFerrari, half a second quicker than a standard 720S.
The Porsche 918 for more reference did a 1:53.98 and the P1 on the Corsa tyre did a 1:53.57 I believe. All cars were with Harris driving.

When you consider that the legendary 918's time around this very track was 1:54.2 and the P1's time was about 1:55.5 you begin to understand how big of a leap this car is for McLaren
