BBC and TopGear was floundering after they mistakingly sacked Clarkson and lost Hammond and May in turn. TopGear under their guidance was and still is on DVD one of the best shows out there. Harris is exceptional at what he does and he did indeed lift the TopGear moniker out of the tail spin that it was in though it is but a fleeting glimpse of the show that it was. It was a fun show. If it shuts down so be it. I'm looking foreward to the premiere ofThe Grand Tour and the return of Clarkson, Hammond and May but I will still be watching Harris in what ever format he may appear in.

Was leaving my office in Beverly Hills the other day, heard the most beautiful sound ever...looked to my right, it was an Aston Martin V12. Exotics in this area the proverbial "Dime-A-Dozen" but out of all in recent memory, the Aston stood out based on sound. Pure music!
The only down side to Jeremy punching that guy in the face, is the consequent lack of content from Mr Harris. So a 17 minute video is more than appreciated. cheers
The V12 Vantage S must be the pinnacle of manual gearbox sports cars..The perfect embodiment of blending men with machine. The soundtrack of that roaring V12 is just spectacular and the elegant and eternal lines of the design make it have a special place in our hearts. We would definitely have ours in all black and get rid of those comical stripes. TCR.
Exactly right. This is why automotive enthusiasts love cars, and love driving. It's the relationship between car and driver, and the car ONLY responding to the drivers inputs. If you get it wrong, so does the car, but if you get right, now there's a beautiful moment. Exactly why I couldn't be more opposed to autonomous driving. Just because there are muppets in this world who have a hard time differentiating between a throttle pedal and brake pedal and driving of any kind, doesn't mean the rest of us should have to suffer because of their incompetence. Fundamentally, driving should be only left to those who love to drive. Why? Because we're good at it and enjoy doing it well. Those who fall into the opposite category that want to move about without driving themselves... allow me to introduce to you the idea of public transportation, taxis, or other competent drivers that may be willing to haul you around for compensation. This would reduce traffic on roads by staggering amounts, it would reduce road accidents because incompetent drivers would no longer be on the road, and also keep car enthusiasts and non enthusiasts happy, we get to drive, they still get around while staring at their stupid cell phones and mobile games.
Chris Harris should take over as lead presenter, if that happens I'll start watching TG again. 2 great automotive shows (Grand Tour and Top Gear w/Chris Harris) are better than one!
Chris Harris is the one presenter I feel is really up there with the caliber of the likes of Clarkson, Hammond, and May, and I love it when they dial it back and just put him in a car and let him talk.
The new top gear is changing for the better,Chris Evans is gone and then Chris Harris is making great reviews and films. Then on top of that grand tour is coming out in November, so the old isn't changing and then the new is changing for the better, what is there to dislike?
Thing is, on mobile devices the Tg dot com player works really well, but when i try to run it on my PC, It's awefull, laggy, and pretty crap to be honest man, But at least they are uploading to yt, so all is not lost :-)

If you watched the original Top Gear it was about the costs more than the cars. Just look at all of the specials with second hand crap cars, but it was the hosts that made them the best episodes of the entire series.

Porsche might not have forgotten what driving is about but they have forgotten on how to supply it to the world. The limitation to 911 units is just laughable. You want one? You can't. All of them were sold in a blink of the eye. It's like it never realy was available in the first place. Whatever I don't even have the money to buy one break disc of this car.

Come on! Only a British car generalist to make an Austin Martin sounds so great. For the amount of money they're asking for his car it is an absolute ripoff, it doesn't do anything well aside from having a very luxurious well-crafted interior. Thing is ancient it's time to move on. Austin Martin has milk this design for every penny that they possibly could've gotten out of it.
Aston, similarly to Alfa, has soul. This car may not be the fastest or most sophisticated, but the way it makes a driver feel is why it's so highly regarded. If you don't believe me, check out MotorTrends review of this car as well. Everyone I've seen who's driven it has loved it.
FutureF123 Sounds to me like a polite way of saying come on time to move on. Despite my comments I actually do love the car but definitely not for the money they're asking for it and I'm sick and tired of listening to these British guys talking about how great it is when I know it's not that great. It seems to me Austin Martin is beating a dead horse when he comes to this model.
While I admit I'm a big fan of modern tech in cars, it's a nice change of pace to see these old fashioned cars. I agree the price is absurd but it comes with the name more so than anything else. If a mainstream car manufacturer could make a car like this, it would sell in the millions imo.
Go and watch the "Motor Trend Channel" review on the Aston and you will understand why, it is rare in terms of production numbers but also one of if not the last of so many different things in the car world, last manual v12, last manual vantage, last naturally aspirated v12 aston (possibly) and an absolutely incredible car. The price might be high but it is an insanely good car. The porsche is epic though so dont think I am a one sided person though.
Geoffrey Smith I've nothing against the vantage it has morphed into a good car but it is overpriced for what is essentially a 10 year old platform and technology
I wish that we had such wonderful scenery and road courses to drive on over on tis side of the pond. Just gorgeous and the cars were spectacular as well. Chris you are awesome and I really enjoy watching your videos....

This was great my favorite car companies are Porsche and Aston, my favorite engines are V12s and flat 6s. A video made in heaven

I'd like to think that one more "custom" part wouldn't be that hard to come by seeing as how they made custom seats, gauge cluster, etc. exclusive to the R.

Porsche might not have forgotten what driving is about but they have forgotten on how to supply it to the world.
The limitation to 911 units is just laughable. You want one? You can't. All of them were sold in a blink of the eye. It's like it never realy was available in the first place.

Come on! Only a British car generalist to make an Austin Martin sounds so great. For the amount of money they're asking for his car it is an absolute ripoff, it doesn't do anything well aside from having a very luxurious well-crafted interior. Thing is ancient it's time to move on. Austin Martin has milk this design for every penny that they possibly could've gotten out of it.
Aston, similarly to Alfa, has soul. This car may not be the fastest or most sophisticated, but the way it makes a driver feel is why it's so highly regarded. If you don't believe me, check out MotorTrends review of this car as well. Everyone I've seen who's driven it has loved it.
FutureF123 Sounds to me like a polite way of saying come on time to move on. Despite my comments I actually do love the car but definitely not for the money they're asking for it and I'm sick and tired of listening to these British guys talking about how great it is when I know it's not that great. It seems to me Austin Martin is beating a dead horse when he comes to this model.
While I admit I'm a big fan of modern tech in cars, it's a nice change of pace to see these old fashioned cars. I agree the price is absurd but it comes with the name more so than anything else. If a mainstream car manufacturer could make a car like this, it would sell in the millions imo.
Go and watch the "Motor Trend Channel" review on the Aston and you will understand why, it is rare in terms of production numbers but also one of if not the last of so many different things in the car world, last manual v12, last manual vantage, last naturally aspirated v12 aston (possibly) and an absolutely incredible car. The price might be high but it is an insanely good car. The porsche is epic though so dont think I am a one sided person though.
Geoffrey Smith I've nothing against the vantage it has morphed into a good car but it is overpriced for what is essentially a 10 year old platform and technology
I wish that we had such wonderful scenery and road courses to drive on over on tis side of the pond. Just gorgeous and the cars were spectacular as well. Chris you are awesome and I really enjoy watching your videos....
