I know it's an unpopular opinion here but the acting is not that great, all his lines are delivered in exactly the same way, while trying too hard to mimick Ragnar's intonation. Plus the quality of the dialogue didn't help.
Don't know if that's true, but somewhere I read that Björns actor was really sick when they were filming this scene, amd they wanted to keep it that way because his voice sounds so broken. Don't know where I read that, probably in a youtube comment section, so might be bs anyway

Vikings is such an underrated show like when I first watched it I had to grit my teeth through the first couple of episodes and then I fell in love with it but now going back those first episodes are so nostalgic for me

Such a great show there were so many reasons for their passion so much depth of character. It took years, but they developed these characters perfectly.

I would say Ubbe+ Ivar are the only 2 characters that inherited and went beyond Ragnars spirit. Bjorn did not seem to have good battle IQ and was stupid in general almost all the decisions that he took ended up being stupid and caused loss.

He definitely learned alot from the actor who played ragnar. Lets be real he MADE this show and you can see in how they all act even after he is gone his presence is seen even in later seasons.
He didn't break. He was just hurt and upset by the whole situation. His brother betrayed him and the people were forced to betray him as well by being loyal to the "king".
It's funny how so many people shout for an award whenever a series or movie has a moment of good acting. They're just doing their job and they're doing it well, but we can't go and hand out 2000 awards each year for every single cool moment out there.
