I love ivar 😍😍😍😍😍
Bjorn souns like ragnar here
I like how Ivar received absolutely zero consequences for murdering his brother in cold blood with 100+ witnesses.
That's what the gods wanted...
He has +100 illusion skill for being a cripple.
This was back in around year 700. Plus he is Ragnars son so know one can say anything
@@alucardsantradideus267 not it’s not it’s bad writing
I think this was considered a family issue historically, and the family was allowed to resolve it as they see fit. Ivar didn’t rob anyone of a father or husband or provider. Times were different, and rough.
Ubbe is the only one whom truly cared for all his brothers
Hvitserk did more I think
@@Kingjames23666 we live in a society
@@Kingjames23666 he was a really emotional character
Bjorn disappointed me so much as a brother
and Bjorn
I love how his brother yells "IVAR!" as he takes the axe to throw it.
Ubbe saw it coming a mile away. Too bad the blacksmith wasn't there to catch the axe.
Thanks i am deaf
The scariest thing is that knowing the further events, battles and feuds between Ragnar's sons, even if Sigurd had not died at this table, Ivar would have killed him on another occasion. There was like 0% probability for Sigurd to survive being Ivar's brother.
Only if he killed him first!)
Sigurd was the only one brave enough to call out Ivar's shenanigans
Said Ivar biggest fanboy.
Hvitserk built different
Who knows, Ivar could have died 100 times over so Sigurd could have survived.
I know the show is about as far from historically accurate as a marvel movie, but lets be honest no one is going to miss Sigurd's character in that show.
Didn’t even like him 😂
They introduced him as someone seem to be or will be one of the greatest, but they made him like this
@@ocliusvalladores7721 Yeah they made him snide, petty and passive aggressive. His character sucked.
i liked him😭
@@Seitex2004 I liked him too, he was young and moody but if he wasn't murdered he could have become a better person. But that was robed from him.
To be fair if Sigurd really knew how crazy Ivar was he'd have never have crossed the line talking about his mother, he should have known better.
Its not just ivar's mom, it was Also sigard ubbe and Hvisterks mom too, sigurd was just jealous that ivar got more love then he did
but if sigurd would just shut his mounth every other viking there would not see him as a son of ragnar or even as a viking anymore
@@Diablo_Jones so in other words that could've been avoided if sigurd didn't insult his own mother in front of his other brothers, and he would have made a name for himself like his other brothers as well (even tho in actual history he did) but in this show he didn't

Ubbe’s handling on the situation is just as you’d expect from a brother who knows his brother’s true nature. Everyone was sort of dismissive when it came to Ivar and his impulsiveness, but Ubbe knew. The way he looks at him, the way he tried to deescalate the situation by purely telling Ivar to settle down. He knew. Even way before this happened, he told his brothers he was terrified of Ivar. This was inevitable.
This was the moment i knew, that the series was not really historical accurate, because, Sigurd snake in the eye, is actually the father to knud 1, starting the kingdom lineage of Denmark.
They said from the beginning it would have been inspired by history, not a documentary, and is clear from the first episode
Season 5 and 6 weren’t historically accurate season 1 to 4 are the ones that are inspired by real historical events
Did you took this long to realize? I realized when Rollo became duke of Normandy, which happened in 911, while the start of the series passes in 793
Ok
@@zioperaproduction 😂😂😂
Love how Sigurd’s first reaction is to take it out and try to take a swing at Ivar
actually . . . that was his last reaction .
He should have walked with the axe and remove it just before trying to swing it.
Ubbe trying to handling all the situation is one of the best things in this scene. I mean, the way he says "Ivar not listen to him" and "IVAR" as Ivar throw the axe is truly amocional.
the way you wrote emotional had me go to google to learn a new word🤣🤣

@@tickledeggz yeah and on the next episode he said to Ubbe something like "you're the eldest, deal with this"

Slick Daddy Club
And sigured will carry that title with him all the way up to Valhalla
even back then family dinners were full of drama
To be fair this was hinted heavily throughout the season, it would have been more of a surprise if he didn't do it. Also after he hits him we don't see Bjorn's reaction at all.
Yeah because he left when they started arguing, you can see him disappear in the crowd.
I knew all along
He went to use the restroom
He left after hugging Halfdan
In 4:30 we see Bjorn leaving, he wasn’t there anymore
I love how the Viking people in this show are so fickle. One moment they’re cheering for Bjorn and his speech on farming and bringing new settlers over, and 5 seconds later they’re cheering for Ivar and are willing to follow him blindly into new battles instead of settling down.
Reminds me of outworld in mk11. Everyone seems to follow however makes the fancy speech last.
Kind of like how the masses are still ...
Lol that's literally real life. Just look at our democracies and how the masses are controlled to think they make decisions.
Most people want to be led, not to lead themselves as individuals.
Ivar really had no control over himself, ever. Which is why I felt they made his character so uncomfortable with anything he couldn't control and why he practically pursued having as much control as possible.
Sigurd got what he deserved.
This is what happens when a spoiled child is never told "no" by anyone in his life.
😭😭😭!
💀💀💀💀 yo this is hilarious. I don't understand why Ivar is the fan favorite. I prefer Ubbe & Bjorn. The mature brothers

Then it immediately cuts to Hvitserk, that says a lot for the future. A small but great detail, like in 2:46 when Hvitserk is the only brother who's smiling at Ivar's speech
That’s a cool detail! I completely missed that my first watch
The real issue here is that Hvitserk doesn't know how to sit in a freaking chair.
I noticed that too. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that
I sit like that
The shook look Ivar had when Sigurd started walking towards him after pulling out the ax...lol.

@@Harshitslaysss Heisenberg was an alias used by a character named Walter White in the show "Breaking Bad". Whenever Walter would do something "out of character" from his usual personality, people would say "This was the moment Walter became Heisenberg" as if he had split personality disorder or something. I don't get the hype train for Ivar, I think it's just because he's a main character. Childish, ruthless, impatient, short-tempered, greedy, violent, traitor, abuser, etc and etc. His few qualities are nowhere near enough for compensating his flaws.
The way ivar scoots back 😂 5:07
The guy who played Ivar was excellent, but Ivar's character was utterly unforgivable. Chaotic, destructive, always demanding things go his way, regardless of whether it helped his people or not, murderous, liar, petty and vicious.
I always thought that Sigurd snake in the eye, would be one of the greatest warriors and adventurous in the Vikings era...
I guess writers didn't like him that much...
in real life he was, sons of ragnar were rulers all around scandinavia. but the show, after some point, is not historically accurate
0:30 IVAR'S FACE LOL 💀
The moment when everyone found out Ivar was about the smoke and brought it.
Crazy knowing the real Sigurd was a badass and this is what we got.

True.
The accuracy was about 3 out of 10.

What's your favourite moment from the whole series? 🤔
Mine to. I have binge watched the entire show 4 times now.

Poor Sigurd. He was always so loyal to Belethor and his ganeral goods store.
This was Oscar/Emmy Like performance from everyone in this scene. Like we knew Ivar was going to walk that dark side at some point…. BUT THE ACTING 👌🏾
Oscar Emmy ? Really 😂
Your standards are too low my man.
If anyone, Travis Fimmel's Ragnar character should ve won those awards
Except for Ivar and Bjorn the other are kinda lame
Calling it an oscar and emmy worthy performance is pretty much an insult to actors and actresses now.
This show is a soap opera for rednecks. Let's not pretend it's high art.😂😂😂
Ubbe was like "aw shiet. Here we go again🤦🏻♂️"
🤣🤣
Cool carctor ube was
Sigurd in real life became the king of Denmark and married the daughter of King Aella.
What I'd give to watch this show again for the first time. Best show ever.
Ivar the boneless was the best looking of the cast members. He has the prettiest eyes and the best looking face. He was so well put together that it was hard to see the disabilities with him. The actor who played him did an awesome job.

Naw. The actor for ubbe was more handsome
Ragnar had the prettiest eyes

What made this hard to believe is that everyone kept following Ivar even after he commits fratricide.

Over the course of this fantastic series, I feel that Ivor was by far the best character. He had the most depth. One minute you're rooting for him, and then the other, you're wanting to see him get his arse handed to him.
I am honest I never watched the series, because of this scene. The real Sigurd snake in the eye was extremely important in danish history since he started the kingdom lineage of Denmark. Also he died in battle in Frisia.
