Bjorns death in the show was cooler but in real life he raided many parts of Italy and he was the one who did the coffin trick not Ragnar. Now I want a whole new show with historically accurate characters and events haha
“Lackluster and lamest”???? Are u serious?? That was one of the best ending death scenes I’ve ever seen, the acting and production of that whole battle was phenomenal. How else would you suggest he died? Every other enemy he had was dead
Honestly love the series in regards of such fictional rendering that followed some of my personal favorite Norse Legends...but I greatly appreciate your Initiative and the Corrective Mechanisation you've availed so that people can have a care for the Real Beings. Awesome Watch, thanks Man
Also King Canute the Great was a descendant of Sigurd & obviously of Ragnor. Every tv show changed things to fit the narrative they want, just HATE when actual history is changed. Like Ecbert & his line, succession just really annoying
there is conflict in tale of hvisterk's death, it is also said in the chronicles of ulster that barid (ivars son) killed hvisterk in battle due to ruling other jorvik or dublin one or the two i forget.
Man i cant believe i just found out about this show. HANDS DOWN BEST SERIES EVERRRRR ( GOT right up there with it) but wow I binged it in a week all 6 seasons... Will there be a 7th? Or is Vikings vahalla the next series? Man Ragnar is hot af , and ivor was prob my fav actor somehow despite how evil he was. If you havent seen it , get out from under the rock u were living in like I did and u will not b disappointed!!! So many different story lines and every single one has u on the edge of ur seat. The way they managed to keep you in suspense thru out was nothing short of genius. HAD EVERYTHING FROM drama suspense horror comedy , even cried a few times. Travis Finley reminds me of tom hardy. Whoever did the casting job knew the mfin assignment. Will be following all of them in whatever work they do in the future.
Yes I heard the same thing that he said about Ivar. They are pretty certain they found his grave because the skeleton had a deformity in his legs and they had cut off his head and I believe they had said placed the head between his legs for disrespect and I think there was something else about the skeleton that was supposed to be collaborating with the description of how Ivar was supposed to be buried
People get so angry about the show because characters arent potrayed properly as their real life counterparts but is it not tru there are characters existing in a timeline of the show that never lived in the same time period in real life
The creators of the show did something amazing. They crafted a story into the context of real (albeit inaccurate) history. The truth is historians have no idea what really happened, they can only postulate based on limited documentation and oral history. I think what they did with the show was amazing and despite the lackluster last few seasons it’s still one of the best shows ever televised.
What about the other 2 sons of Ragnar, Eric and Agnar? I mean I know what happened to them but still, their brothers raised an army to avenge them also. Still super interesting.
thats what botthers you...what about ragnars brother being a viking from a whole different time period....or aslaug actually being bjorns mom...i can keep going on and on...its a tv show not a documentary many thing are bound to be changed to keep viewers.!
Bro it breaks my heart, this is one of my older videos that I made for a previous channel many years ago but repurposed it for this channel. But it's still not so bad that it justifies such a bad sub to view ratio
In 1685 a skeleton of a noble viking was discovered and they think it belongs to Ivar the Boneless? err... a skeleton belonging to someone called Boneless??? He's the last person it's gonna belong to.
Bjorn's burial mound is in Munsön, anybody can go visit. Viking records/sagas aren't in the mass like Roman writings are, but there are still plenty of sagas that tell their history@@spooky221yk
I love how they all died. The ruthless died helpless, the betraied died a hero and a simbol, the peacemaker died without a fight, and the two that survived, did so by giving up their viking ways. The adventurer became a farmer and the betrayer betrayed himself.
The “sons of Ragnar” were real, the debate has always been if they really were sons of Ragnar and/or if Ragnar was mythical or real. The “sons” however were real beyond any doubt. He is talking about how the tv show deaths did not match historical records for these individuals
Fear of witches or nymphe the bad Ivar mum but give nymphe you have lose the miserey of Valhalla this bad nymphe go not water swim right fear of drug .You go love wrong not sex is bad other
What? death is inevitable to all of us, if you could make something good out of it, like a sacrifice to stop a greater evil, is by definition "glorious".
Sex is not love and love is not sex so is life how sex is a sport not all can without sport when she go not other bed she do wrong jes is so so is life
weak level of information. you should better think more about video you made. this tv series was one of the best ever and probably you dont see noone of the seasons of it. Very weak production. Dislike
Ubba, not Ubbae!!! Why do half the people call Ubba (Ub-bah) and the other half call him Ubbae (Ubb-A)??? The first thing that comes to mind is that their were 3 different main factions of Vikings; Norwegian, Danish, Swedish!!! The people of Finland were lumped into the (Rus) Peoples, the predecessors of todays’ Russian Peoples!!! So is this the main reason why, their is a discrepancy in the pronunciation of his name??? What Danish Vikings, didn’t have the (A) sounding letter in their alphabet, or Norwegians or Swedish don’t have an (ah) sounding letter in their alphabet??? I’ve heard it both ways, who is correct and why??? Out of the entire show, this is one of the questions that has “bugged” me the most!!! The English seem to use AE in those days the most “Aethalstan”, for example, or was that the reason??? English translations of the original languages, is the source of pronunciation errors???
Bjorns death in the show was cooler but in real life he raided many parts of Italy and he was the one who did the coffin trick not Ragnar. Now I want a whole new show with historically accurate characters and events haha
Yeah, pretty sure they stole that from El Cid
Spot on mate. It was Bjorn that pulled the coffin masterpiece.
@@sumdolt8948The dead body thing? 100%
@@hoddedman_ARG yeah, the propping up Bjorn's body on the horse. That was el sid in Spain I believe
I don’t care if it was historically incorrect. I loved this show. I watched it twice.

Whether accurate or not, King Aelle's Blood Eagle was well deserved. Also, when he played in an older series, he was Ivar.

The next thing to watch would be Vikings Valhalla, glad you enjoyed Vikings tho I really liked it as well
Haha this was me!! Imagine my regret having not watched it when it first came out! God it's such a good show! 🤩
Best what! Not even close!
A very good watch regardless
They were hellbent on making Ivar a clean shaven pretty boy
Yes I heard the same thing that he said about Ivar. I think ivars death was quite fitting, proving he was just a man not a god and dying to save hvitserk completed his redemption
Ivor died in Ireland

Ivar!!!❤❤❤...
I love Vikings ❤❤
Me too, one of the best historical shows ever created
Nobody knows what really happened. Its all speculation
I was very disappointed in how Ivar died in the show
Like the other hestorical death of hvitserk/halfdan wqs cooler tho
My surname is connected to Ivar....
Don't worry though, I'm not going to turn up at your house and steal your furniture 😂
They did Ivar dirty. I've always loved his character above all of Ragnar's sons. Bjorns just comes of as an arrogant prick.
Travis Fimmel is the most Amazing Sexiest Man on Earth he also has the most Sexiest Blue Eyes and Smile I just love him
In 1685 a skeleton of a noble viking was discovered and they think it belongs to Ivar the Boneless? err... a skeleton belonging to someone called Boneless??? He's the last person it's gonna belong to.
Hvisterk aka Halfdan
Its the same person.. Hvitserk means White Shirt..
The SONS of Anarchy.
Haha that's a great reference there
The last kingdom was better than Vikings. The book series of the last kingdom was better than the show but the show was still good.
I mean we don't know because we never knew them or even know if there real 😂😂
they are real, the only person were not sure to ever exist is ragnar
@@ErenYeager-om4zk theres no proof yea Shure vikings where real but Bjorn Ragnar Ivar ubbe idk

Real life? No1 even knows if ragnar was even a real person what are you talking about 😂
Kinda know he was real when the kings in Britain/England knew about him said some of the same stories.......even killed Ragnar
If he has sons….then he IS real 😂😂 you can’t cal them the sons of Ragnar if he didn’t exist
The “sons of Ragnar” were real, the debate has always been if they really were sons of Ragnar and/or if Ragnar was mythical or real. The “sons” however were real beyond any doubt. He is talking about how the tv show deaths did not match historical records for these individuals
He was real pal... The shows were adapted based on historical data..
So, saxo grammaticus is lying to? And what about the sculpture in sweden?
Fear of witches or nymphe the bad Ivar mum but give nymphe you have lose the miserey of Valhalla this bad nymphe go not water swim right fear of drug .You go love wrong not sex is bad other
The last kingdom is better than Vikings even though the main character is fictitious. Uhtred Ragnarson
Just a heads up there’s nothing glorious about dying in any way shape or form
What? death is inevitable to all of us, if you could make something good out of it, like a sacrifice to stop a greater evil, is by definition "glorious".

I thought Ivar died in Ireland. The grave in England may suggest otherwise.
I've made a more indepth video about ivars death here if u want to check it out - ruclips.net/video/cgiirG1iKEo/видео.html

It's the same as Ívar. Everyone says "EYE-VAR" when it's really pronounced "EEE-VAR".
We have to call history chanel, a lie chanel.!
