Hey, thanks for the video! I was wondering about the spacer plate in front of the flimsy flex plate, there's a second one thats a little bit smaller behind it. Do we retain that one or remove it as well?
I have an automatic 2004 TSX. I've got a 5 speed manual transmission from a 2007 accord EX-L for free. Just want to know on how to do it and what ECU i need to do it with. Im a plug and play guy.
I would highly recommend finding a 6m/t for the 1g tsx, getting all of the hardware (pedal, axles, cylinders, etc.), and a 6 speed ecu. That's about as plug and play as you can get. I'm in the same boat. 04 auto, only gripe is the auto, and I'm not trading it in for a higher mile tsx in worse condition.
Hello, I manual swap my 06 tsx , now i can’t start the car, I check all the wire and ground. I try to start it it doesn’t crack, I get power, they key stuck. I swap the Ecu and wire too. Help please. Thank you.
If it did crank, then i would say it is the newly swapped ECU, immobolizer problem, but if it doesn’t even crank then i guess problem lies somewhere else
I’ve never tried that. That would be a good question for vtec academy Brian and his crew would know the answer. I stay away from z’s due to the extra stuff you have to buy to make a swap work. They don’t use a pulse plate like all the others and you have to buy a 400 timing cover to convert or buy a very expensive full stand alone ecu. Either way adds up. As for the trans idk if it will line up. The half shaft is different as well I believe.
@@i4boosting328do you know what manual transmissions do fit the K24A? I have been looking but everyone just gets the Z trans and I don’t wanna risk it.
B series are not the same length as k series flywheel bolts. The threads are the length but the smooth shoulder the the flywheel sits on the bolts is longer. So assuming a k series flywheel at the mounting area is thinner then a b series fly wheel flywheel. Not sure. But if not. A b series flywheel will sit on the threads of k series bolts. Depth of flywheel bolts in crank are the same. But again. Shoulder of bolt the smooth side is longer.
Very carefully lol, it’s better to have someone around or on the stand. “Not responsible for you trying” I use engine harness and connect it to a ca from the passenger side if civic Integra, or driver side Mr2. I test all motors b4 putting in vehicles or selling them. Definitely comes in handy. I use a separate charge harness on the motor in the floor/stand and jump starter. I use starting fluid or you can go all the way with fuel
You may be able to tune it out with k tuner. Most newer vehicles with automatic signals can get interrupted quickly or think something is wrong once the auto solenoids are no longer there. You can buy you a 6 speed tsx harness and ecu but k tuner would be close to the same price. Talk to a local tuner that uses k tuner near you. I usually take the tsx motor out and put in other vehicles
hi so I have 96 civic doing a swap 07 tsx k24a2 and I got a set of swap mounts that tell me I can use 5 or 6 speed trans from 02-04 rsx or 06-11 civic si manuals. but not a manual from k24a2 honda accord manual transmission ..why what's the difference?.. thanks in advanced.
The trans mount and shifter and cables are different. Someone makes a mount for it and you have to use the shifter and cables from accord is what we have seen. We are gonna try one out in a few months we have a wrecked accord that’s been sitting around
@@i4boosting328 the reason I asked is the price of those 02-04 rsx and 06-11is up there was looking for affordable option.thoughts? experience with this swap?
Yo! @i4 boosting You just covered all the things I was wondering about! I'm taking the K20 out of the RSX for a K24. The K20 is going into my 97 Integra but I want to keep it a 5 speed. I have a 03 Type S ECU, wiring harness but a BASE RSX 5 speed trans (from an 04), anything I need to watch out for with this configuration, or should it pretty much work with the Type S wiring harness and 5 speed trans?
All is same except the type s harness has lock out plug for transmission. You just won’t use it. I did a video on how to put a k24 in a rsx type s as well. Scroll till you see it and it explains k24 in type s
Hey quick question. I bought an 04 Tsx that needed a new clutch and when I removed the old one I noticed there wasn’t a pilot bearing where it should be and when i went to put the new one it has some wiggle room any clue to why it isn’t fitting right ?
The motor may have been replaced with an automatic engine and someone didn’t put one in. I have had them loose and too tight. Sometimes I think the pilot bushing I ordered online isn’t a real Honda brand
If your planning on keeping the accord you will have to buy a program called k tuner to tune the k24a2, the k24a2 ecu will not just plug into your vehicle. You can buy a kpro but you need to buy a k20 ecu, prb, pnf, pnd and do some modifications. but your cheapest route would be to buy the k tuner and have it tuned using your ecu. It will not work off of your ecu by itself. It has to have a programmable ecu. It would crank but not run right and can damage the k24a2
Thank you so much for this video, I couldn’t find a video that actually shows and says what I need
On certain k tranny's (03 CR-V AWD) the dowel pins may need to be pulled / swapped

did you change he ECU?,,,,,and do you hae a complete listing of the parts needed to do the conversion?
Same thing works for k24z3 tsx motor?
My si motor k24z7 blew so I bought a tsx k24z3 motor so swapping out the trans to the k24z3 motor.
I would assume so I haven’t done any of those

How much does this usually cost? Parts and shop cost etc..
