You lost respect for the director because you feel entitled to spread and comment on a piece of writing he and his team don't want out there? But your reason being that your comments on it would ultimately "build buzz" and help him in the future? That's pretty disingenuous, not to mention icky fan-boy behavior. Panos is a real artist. You are not. He has every right to do what he wants with his work. You do not.
Very glad I listened to your Panos Hellraiser vid before it was pulled. It was great to hear what could’ve been through your voice. Been a fan for about a year and I look forward to your updates daily!
I do agree with you MR. H, there is something about an intricate puzzle box, an architect, engineer, or detective that just pair together well. I don't think we have yet seen the proper execution of the correlation between the puzzle box and protagonist as an architect (one who designs between art and science), engineer (one who builds upon laws of causation), and the detective (one who unravels the motive behind a thing). But it would be cool to see.
A lot of screenwriters don't like people reading their scripts outside of the production crew because they consider it an unfinished work or something. I don't really understand that mindset myself, but it is what it is. Harlan Ellison for example would threaten legal action if anyone posted his I, Robot script.
@MonkeyZorr I commented before I watched the video. Yeah it's weird the copyright thing but I was just saying from what I saw in the movie Mandy, he could be a good fit
The discription of the house makes me think of it being more similar to the glass house in 13th ghost then the building or space station from Bloodline
It did sound interesting. Woulda been cool too see. I really don’t know exactly what would it take to make a hellraiser movie “profitable” and appeal to the masses. Sadly I don’t think it does. But I hope that there is more hellraiser In the future.
Hellraiser deserves an audience today that it didn't get then, being overshadowed by all the other horror super villians of the 80s. If they bring back Freddie again Shoot me
mr. h IM reading the scarlet gospels by clive barker, our favorite cenobite is in there, and the messed up shit he does to a bunch of people who summon him in the first chapter, is insane. read it if you have a chance
Oh unfortunate move from them! But well, i wasn't to exited about that script it anyways. All i thought about while listening to it was "13 Ghosts" and Hellraiser 4'ish. What is NOT a bad thing, because i like that Movie (13 Ghosts not Hellraiser 4 for the most part), but for me personally it was a bit too 13 Ghostiiii as a Hellraiser Movie. BUT there are cool ideas in it that could have looked nice. I am not very sure what i think about the Teens....but on the other side, it's kind of great and definitely something else in the end as this Hellbound Hearts. And i felt something Silent Hill'ish about it was sounded good. But as a HELLRAISER Movie hmmmmm...don#t know. But there are Visions i really like, maybe as something own. Hm. Well, we will never know how this would have been.
I know, but he wrote a screenplay based on it, so his actual screenplay is a copyrighted material to him. Either way, I'm glad I made this video instead, the previous one shows him in a much more positive light, whereas this video reveals him and his team to be the assholes they are
@@MrHReviews that seems like something that would fall into something similar to fan fiction but I don't know anything about the industry and I also prefer the tone of this video
Unrelated to the subject of the video; YouTude is running two commercials during each prompt. Are you getting credit for this? I have no problem with sitting through two commercials, if you are able to give me more videos.
@@MrHReviews The shorter ones, I sit through the whole thing, (which is a real sacrifice if its Trump rambling on.) On the longer ones I only watch 32 seconds worth, do you still get credit for those?
fairly certain on the longer ones, as long as you watch thirty seconds, its okay. but honestly, I dont know if they are transparent about it and they could lie ha. but from what I know, yes! thanks man, really appreciate it.
I know mate, I was just quietly hopeful that panos wasn't a penos! You do a cracking job mate I love hearing these nuggets you dig out, gets me excited for future possibilities, so it looks bad on them doing this, fucking very bad, you won't be seeing any of my money again penos, I paid to see Mandy, we need mr h in the directors chair!!!
I could understand why they wanted you to take it down, it was complete shit, and the balls they had to use clive barkers "hellbound heart" title pissed me off, the director is embarrassed I believe. because it was so shitty
I have Mandy in a stack of unsealed blu ray in my next to watch stack. I'm now moving it from that stack to the trade in stack. Thank you for being transparent Mr H
Sounds like a legitimate critique from Mr. H. It’s a shame, because on an aesthetic level I really enjoy Panos’ work. But the ideas here aren’t really doing anything fresh. The guess that some of the better ideas were rolled into Mandy seems likely. With a few more drafts maybe there could have been worthwhile hooks to hang the story from. Unfortunately, we’ll never know now.
I loved Beyond the Black Rainbow

I still kick myself for not watching the original script video b4 it was taken down. Cenobites... Panos... Mr H... the best. Gone to the sands of time
I love your Barker videos, keep them up. Have you ever released a video detailing how you would reboot the Hellraiser franchise?

It was finished though. It's ten plus years old.
He's just being a cry baby about it. Only serves to damage his brand though now
Love you Mr. H. Keep up the amazing work.
This appears to be a mixture of 'The Hellbound Heart' and 'Down, Satan' one of my favourite stories from Barker's Books of Blood.
Whoa Panos on Hellraiser? That's one hell of an idea

yeah I was quite shocked receiving those emails tbh dude!

7:11 It was also borrowed from 13 Ghosts.
That sounds like it yeah sure been good Hellraiser film I I agree with you I had asthma as not going to be profitable sounds like Clive Barker's work
Are you talking this slowly just to get it over the ten-minute mark?
how do you get a copyright on someone else's intellectual property?

Nice
The film is Beyond the Black Rainbow not Over the Black Rainbow
ah well, I honestly couldn't give a shit after the emails I received. doesn't have the respect to do the research.
it dosent matter that movie fucking sucked, explained nothing was extremely pretenticious
PANOS COSMOTOSSPOT?i hope its not the case and its some studio exec getting their pants in a twist
studio execs dont represent directors, I had his management email me directly followed up by the legal firm that represents him.

im pretty sure panos cosmatos's dad directed predator 2 or something similar only reason cosmatos has a film career is because of his dad
Rambo 2
@@stefanpp1155 yeah ur right for some reason I thought he directed either predator 2 or rocky 2
George Cosmatos? He directed Tombstone, too.
