- So you bought yourself a shiny new racing wheel, but using that cheap folding tray table your grandparents gave you isn’t cutting it anymore. What’s the next step for someone who just wants to get back to their racing sims the right way? Enter the Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0. In this episode of Budget to Best, Seth test drives the Wheel Stand to see if it’s worth the investment!
Adjustable wheel height? Check. Durable construction? Check. The ability to be folded up to save storage space? Check! What more is there? Whether you’re rocking a Logitech G923, a Fanatec GT DD Pro, or anything in between, this stand has you covered… maybe? Let’s take a look! Наука
"Budget to best" - literally only showcases the NextLevel 2.0... Very helpful
And absolutely not a budget pick
The NLR WS 2.0 is by far the best wheel stand out there though I'll give him that much
Real talk 😂
😂😂
I'm surprised Luke Reily isn't doing this video since he's the car guy at IGN
Like anything at this level, you're going to want to shop around. Wheel stands vary in price and quality and also be sure to take into account the type of wheel/flight sim setup you're going to be using with it, too. For a high end Fanatec system, you're going to want a high-end, quality rig, but for more entry level wheels, you can pick up wheel stands for as low as $90. Just make sure your needs match your budget and vice versa.
Playseat Challenge is a great option they come in around 250 seat wheel plate pedal bracket all for around 220 and it folds away very compact
Great info Seth. Gonna be keeping my eye out for more racing gear videos!
keep an eye out for this ratio
Anyone using this one with 8nm or more force dd? Is it rigid, wobbly? Anything stronger to recommend, apart from a full cockpit?
I've got one of these. Love it. Very sturdy and heavy. G29, pedals and Shifter and it's about 75 lbs
Doesn't wiggle any significant amount.
Bro you can strap g29 to a plastic bag and it wont wiggle
What wheel stand with steering wheel. shifter and pedals work best with Vive Pro?
Nice living room Seth. Pretty classy there.
Does it come with the wheel and pedals
For those without the "return RUclips dislikes" plugin, this video is currently at 1.3k likes and 541 dislikes. Not a great ratio.
You have a lovely home.
Having a load cell pedals won’t work too well?
We have very different views on "budget".
Awesome!
Why would u use a table clamp for that dd pro? Lol. Just mount them In like you’re supposed to
that house is beautiful
It's very wobbly
For sure.
Literally a rig with a seat for less than 250 “Next Level Racing GT Lite Foldable Simulator Cockpit (NLR-S021)” smh
With a lower-end wheel like a G923 the GT Lite works but for a direct drive wheel like a Fanatec it might not be the best choice.
I'm in the market for one... thank you
just make one out of a scrap pallet
So we saw budget, where's best?
The sky's the limit. Look into 80/20 rigs.
I’m looking for a stand for my t-gt 2 that comes with mounting screws
buy wheel stand pro
Ninja theory video games are cool
The choice is yours. 🤷🏼♂️
Is this one that can upgraded?
Yea, NLR will sell you a seat upgrade for it.
my guys using the wheel without a seat ffs
with forza 8 on its way, ill be picking up one of these, thank you very much
Also pick up a ps5 and gt7. You can thank me later.
@@OAde-nq9vo Why would he get that garbage lol? GT is a MTX money hungry series now. The old GT's are great.
@@OAde-nq9vo nah a PC is the way to go
@@kintsugittv2537 money hungry? Content is free..
@@TheWITE-FOX Are we trolling right now?
logetec was having a sale a bit back got one for 200 then found a whole stand for 30$ online thats exactly the same thing
so the what did you do?
Why is the title 'Budget to Best' when it's clearly just a review of the NLR Wheel Stand 2.0?
No way
So…just 1 stand. Come on IGN, stop misleading with your titles
How much money does this bloke make a year. That is a million dollar home with millions of dollars of merch inside
It's possibly a recording room at ign offices.
Million dollar? … you have a job correct?
это круто да
How is it best to budget if you only show one option. $250 is hardly budget
Luke should be giving tips. Not these none playing bums
Cool
Super mario land 2
🤘🏻😎👌🏻
No
Imagine
Wow
eh, you can convert a step stool ladder into the same thing for a lot less money
The way he holds the wheel 💀
9 and 3 is how you’re supposed to hold the wheel, he’s pretty close…
@@Asian_Import Nah the way he holds it says it all
okay ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That wink was pretty sus 😮
Idk racing games get boring fast so why spend all that extra money on this
Bro put on a real wheelbase and loadcell pedals and do a review then. This is embarrassing.
It must be nice to have enough money to spend on gaming. Which game is even worth all this setup?
Assetto Corsa Competizione 100%.
There's tons of great racing sims out there. iRacing, rFactor 2, ACC, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally 2.0, Automobilista, BeamNG
Literally every single racing sim in existence.
BeamNG
Gt7
The answer is no.
Thank me later
Budget to Best? Where's the options mofo
The answer is no you don’t need this it’s excessive and a waste of money
What do you mean? For wheels like the G29 desk mounting may be enough, but once you step into DDs or high end belt drives, you're gonna wanna have a sturdier rig like this.
This way you can get into a comfortable position, attach the shifter where it's supposed to be instead of at wheel height, secure your pedals to a sturdy plate (which is a must with load cell pedals) and mount the wheelbase to a plate which won't flex as much as a desk will.
Those are terrible ergos. So hunched forward for that wheel and pedal position
