- I bought this budget friendly Diwangus foldable sim racing wheel stand on Facebook Marketplace. I unbox it, set it up, and take it for a test drive.

Oh wow, I use a (slightly different) diwangus stand with a G29 that has the TrueBrake mod installed as well. Wouldn't you know it, just this week I solved my Newton's Third Law problem with the amount of pressure the brakes take by using the same type of velcro straps as you. In my case I picked up a metal folding chair with a crossbar connecting the legs and wrapped the velcro straps around it, with pre-cut pieces of wood in the straps as a sizing guide. I've been really happy with it and my results in Assetto Corsa Competizione.
Nice review - covered all the points I wanted to see. It does look a bit flimsy for the price and I'm not sure I like that extremely thin wheel platform that folds in, so I'm going to look for something else. The GT Omega Classic (although out of stock at the moment) matches the price and seems a lot more sturdy.
Yes, that GT Omega Classic looks pretty great. I considered it too, but when the Diwangus showed up on FB marketplace for a great price, I jumped on it. The Diwangus folds and unfolds in a second, which I like, and it's small and light enough for me to carry in and out of the room. This is my secondary rig at my gf's house, so I'm not on it a lot, but it's nice to be able to get some laps in when there's time.
Keep in mind he cut up his wheel platform... that would sit there and add weight.. still looks junky
@@aliens8mybaby Are you referring to me drilling two small holes in the wheel platform?
Not sure I like the mount of the wheel platform. Seems to me that a little bit of force after a while could strip or break where the knob/screw pivot is.
It is not the strongest thing in the world, and I agree if you crank on it, something will break. But I think that’s the nature of a $100 wheel stand. My main rig is the Playseat Trophy, which is very sturdy, but it goes for $600 new.
@@DigitalRelay I don't agree that's the nature of a $100 stand since the Vevor G920 stand is only $70 and does not have that questionable design for the wheel mount. Of course, it also doesn't fold up as easily.
BTW, thanks for the review.
Great Video
You cut weight off the Pedal plate as well as the mount. Making it a lot lighter and causing it to move more then it would
Thanks for the comment and compliment, but there's some confusion here. I did not cut or drill the pedal plate at all, and the only modification I made to the wheel plate was drilling two small holes to fit M4 bolts through. The weight removal was miniscule. Certainly not "a lot lighter".
@@DigitalRelay the original base... most people will not modify will sit on top of the stands base... my G920 base is Very Heavy. Did you not remove that original base in your modifucation and connect your pedals directly to the stand?
I mean this in a psotive wat too. I enjoyed the video and subscribed. Keep up the great videos.
I make car content shorts and various other content.
*edit the G920 base is very heavy, i just picked it up again to see. No scale but Im guessing close to 10 pounds.
Okay, I'm following now. Yes, I did remove the plastic pedal housing and one pedal, but I also added the AXC Trubrake mod to the brake pedal. According to Logitech, the stock pedals weigh in at 6.83 lbs. In my opinion, removing the plastic housing and one pedal did not significantly change the weight enough to affect stability of the unit. I appreciate your input and I hope I'm not coming off as argumentative. I just want to clarify for anyone following along. Thank you much!
@@DigitalRelay not at all argumentative, great review, I will look forward to your next video.
does it work with t300 thrustmaster
It's supposed to work with most a variety of wheel bases, but I don't know for sure if it fits that one out of the box. It would be easy enough to drill extra holes if you needed to.
@@DigitalRelay thank you
Need with play stor great???
Does it work with Logitech G920?
Yep
@@DigitalRelayoh bet thank you so much
Does it work with Xbox?
This wheel stand should fit most major gaming wheel bases and is not console specific.
Plz share the link
I got mine used on FB marketplace, but here it is on Amazon - a.co/d/hNGI34c
Does it come with the wheel and pedals or no
No, it does not come with wheel and pedals
