I have this exact stand for my Logitech G920. Once you bolt down the pedal board the rig is very solid and a joy to use. Took about a 1/2 hour to build including head scratching and confusion time.

I have the same stand . Great for circuit racing but not so much for drifting. It's not completely solid, the constant switch backs causes the stand to wobble . I'd give it an 7 out of 10 . Can't beat that price lol

@@devonjohnson4059 Well this is the only stand I've bought and tried so I can recommend you NOT to buy this one , I guess when you're searching for stand don't look for cheapest one like me , you'll probably have to pay 2-3 hundred dollars for a decent one that doesn't wobble.
@@saulgoodman9193 ok. I spend the majority of my time drifting on forza & That wobbling is a NO NO ! I seen someone say get the setup with the stand bolted to the seat. & the only problem with that is that I JUST bought a gaming chair. So I’m at a bit of a standstill.
Bought the same stand from Amazon (here in Europe) as well. I think most of the extra screws (especially the small ones) are to bolt the pedals, wheel and shifter down. The holes in the plates line up with the screw holes on the bottom of all the G29/920/923 (edited) elements, so the integrated clamps are just for some additional safety, but not required. There are other holes for other wheels and I saw someone on Amazon Germany mention it also fits some Thrustmaster models.

I kinda went backwards when it comes to looking at these rigs. I got a new desk and of course the wheel won't mount. Found this wheel stand on Home Depots website for 42 usd when Amazon wants almost double. So I ordered it. Thank you for putting my mind at ease about my decision. I'm gonna be enjoying American Trucking Simulator tomorrow afternoon.
I was thinking about getting the logitech g29 and this kind of stand for Christmas. I dont plan on using the wheel every day and my dad said he might try in once in a while but I like the idea of being able to fold up the stand and keep it tucked away when not in use and being on a budget I can get the wheel for about 250 from best buy and the stand for less than 130. I was scared to do anything related to sim racing but I think the prices are low enough right now that i might have a try and if I dont use it I have a feeling my dad will really like this. He loves drag racing and I think he might enjoy this too

@@xattrickmazeo5782 I didn't get the wheel they went out of stock the day I was gonna get it and my mom gets upset if she can't find is anything for Christmas so I just go a Nintendo switch. But I appreciate the info and I think you are right there's no reason to cheap out a stand just to end up getting a better one in the long run .i would have probably paid a little more and got something much nicer and way more stable.

The pads don't grip hard floors as well as carpet, at least thats true for me.

I recently obtained a race wheel setup ad well and it easily makes your forza/need for speed games so much better. Aftrr using a wheel for a week, a controller just felt weak and boring. The wheel for sure makes you feel like your actually driving said car. Also, make sure when you get your wheel all setup that you adjust the force feedback settings so you can feel the terrain change it will make it even more realistic.

I got a entry level wheel (logitech G920, pedals and shifter ) for snowrunner.
Ended getting project cars 2 and Dirt 2.0 as well as AC and ACC on Xbox.
I also got this stand off of Amazon.
The hardware all together cost me like 380.
My review for all of the hardware for the price is its great. As an entry level guy the added immersion and much better control for snowrunner is a 10 out of 10.
I have really taken a liking to dirt 2.0 because of this setup.
The stand is sturdy and is easy to move around. I did order a extension cable for the USB on the wheel ( it's really short).
The instructions do such the print is super small. It's not a huge deal as the pictures do show you what to do. I put 2 bolts in the wrong place lol but it was easy enough to change them out after.
Another big plus is the extra bolts they give you .
I put 2 in each hardware component to hold it to the rig. Without them they would have wobbled and the shifter inparticular would have not work . It would have fell off.
So if your looking to dip your feet into greater immersion as in snowrunner and forza or entry level sim racing such as Assetto or dirt you can't go wrong.
I don't lose any races in forza now because of the wheel.
I do however get my ass absolutely kicked in project cars 2 and AC though lol.
After practicing 1 track for an hour I able to place 5th on 1 track in project cars lol.
It's an absolute blast though!!
So there's my story.
For an entry level guy ( some top tier racers as well) the logitech g920 setup is awesome for the money and the stand by far being the cheapest one is heavy, sturdy and well put together .
Until you know if you want to spend 300 to 400 dollars or 500 to 900 for the next tier there is no better deal out there!!

Does it work with Ferrari thrustmaster wheel?
@@rhiananhunt3350 From what I understand if your on PC and the pedal or shifter has a USB plug you can plug it directly into the PC and they will all work.
If your on console I think it gets complicated .
You would have to research that one.
Snowrunner could be an amazing game IF it had the same clutch/manual H shifting that mudrunner/spintires has. I purchased snowrunner and havnt touched it since day one when I realized they left out this KEY feature. I refuse to play a game that could be awesome and just look at my paper weight shifter. No thanks. Tons and tons of awesome sims that do offer the option for H shifter and actual functioning clutch. Snowrunner failed in this case. Maybe they will bring the feature back some day. I’ll play it and buy every single dlc the day they do this. If never, then I won’t touch it. No biggie, but I wanted to love snowrunner like I do the other spintires games, but I just can’t with bogus ONLY automatic crap. Cheers. Rant over..

@Mike that’s not bad, but I personally would go for thrustmaster. Their stuff is way better quality but a bit more expensive. The 929 isn’t a bad first wheel, but I would look for a t300 for around that price. Cheers

i just purchased this and the logitech g920 bundle set for pc i already have forza horizon 4 and forza motorsport 7 on my pc with my rtx 2070 super and a 144hz monitor cant wait to try this i was really getting bored of driving with a controller
That’s a huge upgrade, just be aware that it takes time to get used to a wheel.

Thanks for the informative video. I bought one of these as I just bought a fanatec wheel and really don't want to mount it to my desk. Getting back into racing with a wheel after almost 2 decades of non-wheel gaming. Looking forward to trying this out when my wheel arrives!

@@aztechrex5275 I use it as often I can, but do still sometimes use a controller. It's probably 70/30 between them. I'm pretty impressed with the overall construction of it. The rigidity could be a little better. I'm not looking into how I can stiffen it up a bit while still retaining the foldability.. though I haven't folded it since I bought it lol.
Fanatec DD 8nm is also the sweet spot for what I wanted in a base, especially for the price. Load cell brake will be the next upgrade!

Yes it will almost definetly be compatible.
The only exception might be if you drive extremely aggressively or if you have a high end belt drive or direct drive wheel

I used the extra hardware to Mount the steering wheel, pedals and shifter that’s what the extra hardware is for you can use it for the shifter and remove the deck of cards

I have exactly the same stand, but I'm really not very happy with it. I'm a bit taller than average, but I cannot get the pedals set back deep enough at all without going to a lower hole on the handscrews for the folding part, but if I do that, then the shifter ends up ridiculously low and I can't reasonably reach it. I need a lot more depth from the pedals and I can't get it with this stand, or at least an alternative shorter attachment arm for the H-shifter mount plate.

I was only able to put one screw into the pedal set and shifter, and tightened it down so they both are good now no slipping.

At first glance i would say that it is too small for you, or to put it other way, your feet should be streched out more. Maybe i am wrong.
I just got (and assembled) one of these, and yeah, it's not too bad, but the instructions are (dare I say) worse than anything IKEA could muster. I know this is a bit old, but I hope you see it. I have a question about my Thrustmaster TMX fitting on the stand. The wheel doesn't have screw-on mounting points, I just have the clamp. Now, I have it on there, but the feet of the clamp isn't 'solidly' secure on the beam underneath. Is there a trick to making this wheel more stable/secure on this stand?

I got a thrustmaster Ferrari wheel on Amazon for 100 bucks. The setup in the video is no where near the cheapest. He said the cheapest with good reviews, but all the items in my setup had great reviews.

I've been sim racing for a while now, if you are going to get a rig, wheels, etc get the best that you can afford, even if it means waiting for a while to save up, cos you will regret buying the cheapest. A proper rig, with a fixed rear frame and racing seat and a wheel with force feedback is a must. GT omega classic is a good start, front and rear frame will set you back about £130, r26 GT omega racing seat from memory £150 and a Logitech g29 wheel/pedals about the same again, don't waste your money on a shifter unless you are planning on rallying, most race cars these days use flappy paddle gear shifter anyway. You can easily spend thousands on this year and I promise, you will always wish you had spent a little bit more in the beginning and got better equipment to start with.
Problems with the stand, its shakes Insanity it needs to be attached to the seat. Also the gear shifter as attached loosely welded together. 6/10. Get a setup where the wheel pedal combo is attached to your seat with no bar in between your legs.
This is why this is the "Cheapest" on amazon. What are the prices of what you are talking about ? yep.
Please check to make sure that the stand in your link is the stand that you bought and are reviewing. Because the price that you said does not match the price in the link however I did find one on Amazon that matches the price that you quoted and looks almost exactly the same

no good for thrustmaster t150 rs? is on amazon atm for 120, so 200 for this stand and the wheel/peddles, with belt drive force feedback, that's really great starter / intermediate setup that you can add clutch / shifter down the road.
I m using this with a direct drive wheel. It shakes a bit but it's quite stable

It may work for a Logitech wheel that produces barely any torque (~2.1Nm), but don't try to bolt up any more serious hardware to one of these. Even a ~4Nm wheel will make this thing feel like it's going to shake itself apart. I've owned one of these folding stands (actually a better built Next Level Racing one), and I only used it 6 times before I gave it away and spent the money on a more substantial cockpit. I totally regret the purchase and should have just saved up to buy a better rig from the start; the folding stand wound up being a total waste of $$$$ for me.
I wound up with an Obutto R3volution and it works great even with a direct drive wheel, though I'd even steer clear of the Obutto setups unless you need their workstation/desk functionality specifically. If you have the space just save up and buy a profile rig with a junk yard car seat.
Definitely dont do this with a moza r9 or any direct drive wheel

When assembling the left side goes slightly further down than the right side so it's not evenly balanced
