I just watched the movie on Netflix a couple nights ago and was blown away by the performances. I've been a huge fan of Patsy Cline for decades (even wrote a song about her myself), and never knew about her deep friendship with Loretta Lynn. Just an _amazing_ story.

I just watched it this weekend 2 times. These 2 actresses are amazing 👏🏽. Bravo I absolutely love the way they sang Blue Kentucky at the end. I'm a fan of both Patsy and Loretta. My God who isn't? Both queens of country. Patsy crossed over to pop. She died too soon. 😢 thank you !!
They need to make a real movie about Loretta. No offense against Lifetime, but their movies are nothing like they use to be and Loretta needs a “real” movie! She’s a legend and deserves nothing less.
What do you mean they need to make a real movie about Loretta? Have you not seen Coal Miner's daughter? That's as real as it gets. Sissy followed Loretta around for years to learn her part. Loretta vehemently approved! She loved the movie.
The last movie regarding Patsy Cline..."Sweet Dreams" was a tad disappointing. The obvious actress who appeared in "Coal Miner's Daughter" wasn't the lead. So it bombed. I really like the music that Patsy Cline performed. Crazy and Sweet Dreams are my favorites. I really hope they do her legacy justice.
Uh, I think you are wrong. Sweet Dreams was a very good movie and Jessica Lange was nominated for an Academy Award. Sissy Spacek won an Academy Award for Coal Miner's Daughter. Neither of those movies were hardly considered a bombs.
At that time...Miss Lange was the "It Girl"...sorta pre...Meryl Streep... meaning she was getting all the roles. She couldn't sing...she lip-synched the songs. Beverly DeAngelo who appeared in and Sung the songs of "Patsy Cline" in Coal Miner's Daughter...would've been a better choice. That movie you can catch often...the one with Jessica Lange...not so much.
