Hello? That's a mockery in Vietnamese racism even I am not gonna say stop it. "Phuc" in Vietnamese name meaning stands for Luck in good fortune and Happiness. Even though I am Vietnamese I use to have a last name that was supposed to be forever as Pham. My name fully was Hai Pham. People normally would say Pham as the word with my name as Hi Fam. But it's Pronounced Fahm.
Oh and also, I wish Vietnamese people can't be villains in these kinds of movies, additionally like the guy who played as Short Round when he was a kid in Indiana Jones who recently has an Oscar.
@@HyPhuyenTheSwordPrince It's funny, it's great in the context of that film, they both can't pronounce it and that's why it was made into a joke which turned out 10/10.
Yep when I was a kid leaving Detroit zoo thought I’d be funny and run full speed to 696 expressway wall and jump it, I was committed until I hit that wall and was stopped dead. Then looked down I’ll never forget it. So idiotic.
You cut off the best part of this, the next scene we see Raymond reporting back to McConaughey what happened and McConaughey tells him: ''Goddamn Raymond! That's the second guy who goes flying. You need to buy some parachutes.'' xD
Look at who his students are, most likely from one of them over the years or his own connects. Yes it's "rare" for UK "thugs" to have guns yet overall its really not. They just use them differently then other places IE USA/Mexico lol
What I loved about this scene, besides the dialogue and the mispronunciations, is how actually old-school gangster this scene is. The hat in hand, the apologizing for the "headache" and the coming with a gift as part of the apology. No bullshit bravado shit, no tough talk - just straight gangster shit.
Raymond yelling "fuck" when the guy takes off doesn't get enough love. Coach is a freaking legend. Is given a demand for a name but has already kidnapped the guy.
Alright Phuc calm the Phuc...down. I like to imagine that Colin improvised this and came about *this* close to breaking before pulling himself together 🤣🤣🤣
The in-laws were visiting recently and I cut my finger in the kitchen followed by the excited exclamation of "Phuc!". My wife gives me the pretentious dressing down (in front of the in-laws) when I say " Spelled with a 'P', it's Vietnamese!" Her old man is a Vietnam vet and laughed till he cried. Thanks Guy and Colin for the bro backup!
Whenever I "slip up" and say 'that' word and get reprimanded I always explain it's the French word meaning "I am extremely disappointed" , , , "Faarque"
Maybe not quite the masterpieces as Snatch or Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels but right up there with RocknRolla nipping at the heels of great gangster yarns.
This is one of the best movies I haver ever seen, It just keeps coming at you and what a cast. My wife and I had no idea what it was about when we watched it and time just flew by. I had to make another bowl of popcorn it was so good
"Calm the Phuc down" ........cracks me up everytime. Another classic from Mr Ritchie.

Jesus. The level of acting is just too brilliant.
Honestly Charlie and Colin smash this,so natural
It’s a Guy Ritchie you always get a good movie when he pieces it together!
Yeah watched it now about 5 times...and Hugh Grant was a surprisingly great contributor....great acting and script.
"Alright phoc calm the phoc down" makes me giggle every time.
It gives me an asthma attack from laughing my ass off 😂😂
Steady urself for Phucs sake

"Never jump a wall blind!" wise words from an uncle once told me.

That’s my life “motto”

As a Vietnamese, I had a blast listening to these lads pronouncing Phuc completely wrong
blast? this is the same shit how Asians are portrayed, as losers.
How do u pronounce it?

“There is a pattern emerges here. Invest in some parachutes”
The lines they fed McConaughey in this movie are pure fucking gold.

It's so enjoyable hearing Farrell and Hunnam speaking in their normal accents.
The Coach is easily the noblest character in the movie.
Although, this is what I don't get - how'd even he get a handgun?
Its easy to get a handgun tho, all you need is connection. You're not gonna just buy on gun shop.
Like he said he isn’t a gangster even tho he has had to do some gangster things. That handgun is for win he has to do those gangster things
He runs a boxing gym in inner city London.
Look at who his students are, most likely from one of them over the years or his own connects.
Yes it's "rare" for UK "thugs" to have guns yet overall its really not. They just use them differently then other places IE USA/Mexico lol
Same way anyone who’s not allowed to own a gun comes to own a gun: an illegal arms dealer. Virtually every city in every country on Earth has ‘em.
This movie was so Ph-ucking good. Favorite Guy Ritchie movies so far and I love them all
So hard to choose between lock stock snatch and this one. All instant classic all time greats IMO
Even Swept Away? Now thats a true fan. He owes you a Christmas present.
Snatch is pretty darn good.
I love that this movie is called “The Gentlemen”. It’s only the gentlemen who do right, give apologies, and make amends who survive.
"Manners maketh man" -William Horman (Possibly)

Charlie Hunnam was incredible in this movie
As in Sons of Anarchy
1:21 Ray's reaction is literal gold!
That last bit had me rolling in tears - guy always knows how to put dark humor in his movies
“Alight Phuc calm the phuc down.” LMFAO 🤣
I love how coach fix his glasses every time he slaps somebody
Please god make a sequel or spin off of this movie with the coach and Raymond at least!
This is my new favorite movie! Just super well done!
amazon are in the final stages of a season of this as a follow up, nearly finished.
@@zeetroymanThank you for the update haha
There is a netflix TV series coming in march
INCREDIBLE GUY RITCHIE.
Farrell should’ve gotten an Oscar for this role.
Guy has a habit of making hilarious movies, and putting Farrell into this role was genius!
I dont think he was in the film enough to warrant an Oscar, as good as he was
As a asthmatic I can confirm, Collin Farrel smacking you around works just as well as an inhaler. 😂😂
How do you not bust out laughing acting alongside this
Practice and multiple takes.
I like the coach he is so hilarious 😂

I've watched this movie several times and after reading this comment I realize that isn't Tom Hardy playing Raymond ... 😂

Absolutely agree
That trunk scene is gold.
"You need to invest in some parachutes , Ray ; there's a pattern emerging here"
Watched this movie for the first time a month ago. And again this week. Its just so good. And Colin Farrel is just first class acting throughout.
"I'm freeee..... oh, Phuc!" 🤣
No matter how much love this movie gets, I'll always still consider it underrated.
why underrated?
What a stupid thing to put in writing. You obviously don't know what underrated means.

Also one of those few movies I’ve wanted to dress like the characters. Rays tweed waistcoat and jacket are fantastic.
"Take a blem..." yep, he's irish.. 😂👍☘️
One of the funniest scenes in a movie in a long time.
Such a phenomenal movie with a phenomenal cast. Absolutely luvd this movie
Collin Farrel is just AMAZING !
Colin Farrell did a great acting job amongst other great acting jobs in this movie. Guy sure knows how to blend comedy with violence
These two guys are so great to watch.
Not a term you hear often any more, but Coach is the very definition of the word “streetwise” in this scene.
Sounding like an' ol Chav?
@@ErikPT We don’t use “chav” in Dublin. It’s “skanger” or “scoby”. And he’s neither.
I love the hard cut after this "Fucks sake Ray, you need to invest in some parachutes"

Quoting Chris Tucker “Well we won’t be seeing him in the sequel.”

Phuccin awesome 👌
Raymond should’ve said “PH-HUCK!” as he was running away
No, rather after Phuc got run over by the train, one of them saying "Well, that was Ph-ucked up!" Or, "What a Ph-ucking mess!" Lol!
This is the only movie that I'm patiently waiting for a sequel.....even though I know it's not gonna happen. But I'll wait

Coach is one of the best characters in all of Guy Ritchie’s movies
very good movie. recommend it to everyone
