Can we appreciate Ray's loyalty. He texts the boss even after knowing Russians are coming for him.
Why would he not to?
Boss with a capital B :) gotta love raymond
@@michaelscarn7375 He meant he knew they were coming for him, not the boss. Ray knew he was about to get attacked, and still prioritised his boss's life.
Hegelian. Simple.. 🥊
He'd make a great wife
Colin Farrel was absolutely amazing in this movie.
And now you fucking tell me.
@@ty814 Eh?
@@ty814 I understood that reference
Up here in the grrrrreeeeyyyyy lol 😆
He was classic!
The coach showing the four fingers is just brilliant. Face while does it is priceless.
That always makes me laugh
ikr🤣 he’s been around the way b4
im confused why did he hold up 4 fingers, was it because he said he would do 3 things for ray but ended up doing 4 or was there some other meaning
@@ewanneilson4314 yeah that's exactly it.
@@ewanneilson4314 i think he's suggesting ray owes him now
The coach was great. Farrel did a fantastic job. Everybody loves a person that is dependable, that they can rely on. Kind of like a Mr. Spock in your back pocket.
Mr.Spocket?
Mike Ehrmantraut
They're few and far between.
Spock is a G
This movie is an absolute masterpiece. The chemistry with the cast is amazing
You need to understand the word masterpiece - it's a mediocre movie - 4 out of 5 at best. Apocalypse Now... now that's a masterpiece.
@@MrMarketingGuy you need to understand that its his opinion, as yours is about Apocalypse Now
That move was shit. Way too overrated and more movies have come out that are way better. Move on@@MrMarketingGuy
@@MrMarketingGuy4 out of 5 is almost perfect?
Watched Apocalypse now twice, watched The Gentleman 5 times and counting...
@@MrMarketingGuythat movie was terrible 😂😂 fuck you
Lol Fletcher doing hurdles across the hedges makes me laugh
And they catch him anyway😂
Reminded me of Steven Segal running, also hilarious. More of a waddle really.
I love Farrell in this role and all the people usually involved with Guy Ritchie. His music choice is always impeccable to make the scene feel right.
What song is this?
@@LoneSolo23 free me- Paul Jones
He even makes movies where Jason Statham acts good.
0:55 is perhaps my favorite moment in the film. Colin's 'Christ's sake' head shake is a fine piece of physical acting.
Course it is you muppet.
colin's face after killing them lmao
One too many he helped them, after he was promised 3
@X X love how it's pretty much him saying " now you owe me one " without any dialgoue
The way Hugh Grant runs is hilarious
Skinny jeans are hard to run in. lol
@@coryboy345Eh, not really. I were skinny jeans and can run just fine in them, but that's just me. To other people, however, I can probably agree with you.
@garyking3389 and you probably look like a flamer in them too.
@@coryboy345 A little bit, but not really if they fit you.
I don't understand how the toddlers knew about the russians? My interpretation is that the toddlers thought that Coach was being bothered by Mickey so they said "they'd take care of the Mickey problem for him", and so they got into the van and shot up the car thinking they were killing Mickey in it. They didn't know that Coach wasn't actually having a problem and was just repaying his debts, and that in a way they just accidentally saved Mickey instead of killing him? I think I'm wrong though
You're right actually.I understood the situation the same way as you...
That’s exactly what happened.
That's what happened
That’s happened.
Happy accident I guess
The coach showing 4 with his hand with a desperate face. Favourite moment of the movie to me haha
Not desperate, chagrinned.
this entire scene is lifted from the long good friday.
Facts
i like to think its lifted, due to it being filmed by the toddlers and they wanted to recreate that scene.. so it's like a homage. But i could be absolutely fucking wrong and Guy Ritchie nicked it haha
Ha was just about to comment this. Definitely copied the ending there with a young Pierce Brosnan as the trigger man in the front of the car.
It's an homage. Ritchie pulled it again for the ending.
@kalbiggins7460
Homage is spot on .
Identical but well meant
Guy Ritchie should make a prequel on raymond side of story on how he became mickey's best man of the empire.
Most have been broke or had a big problem that Mickey solved. It would explain the loyalty cause the whole movie I expected him to turn on Mickey.
Another MASTERPIECE, from Guy Richie !!!!
Matthews acting when he figures out hes about to die is incredible. The faces he pulls man
Watch the end of the long Good Friday.
That scene is amazing together with the music track
@@sk1nney I'm sure Guy Ritchie saw that. I will say that the music is annoying, and the IRA hitman being literally one of the handsomest men on earth is kind of odd. The acting is stellar on the backseat guy, but I think McConaughey does a good job too
Coach putting 4 fingers up for 4 favours when he was only due 3. 😂
Make that 5
It really is smart. It shows he is honorable and in a round about way owes Coach a favor should something nasty come down the pipe in the future. Would be very smart to have a favor owed in the gangster business.
The shot of the guy pointing the gun at Matthew is VERY reminiscent of the ending to The Long Good Friday, which I'm sure Guy Ritchie loved
Got to be a conscious reference, the shot is almost identical
Brilliant film as well, I wish we had more films like that and Mona Lisa with Bob Hoskins as the lead
peirce broznan the assasin
Yes! When the Russian turned round with the gun, I thought Ritchie was gonna play it out just like tLGF.. But the subversion of expectation was even better..
more than sure. There are a few from TLGF cast that have appeared in Ritchie films, starting with Lock Stock. Even Chef. Fantastic homage to one of the defining films in the London gangster genre.
i hope they make the sequel
I hope they do not. It was a great movie and should be left as such. A forced sequel never ends up good.
@@valdie91285 let's be hope the sequel can be more good
@@valdie91285 i mean it doesn’t seem that forced tbh, with the Russians there’s a clear sequel set up there
@@mrcombine7983 it’s a tv series look it up with guy Ritchie writing and directing
The sequel is already planned. If you hear the narration by fletcher at the director's office, he mentions that there is a sequel. Also, russian boss is still alive so they'll go after Mickey. Also, Mickey will now be pissed that the toddlers tried to kill him
Love this scene,an homage to The Long Good Friday.
The music the atmosphere the everything about this film is perfection
Loved when the music track started. Just the sheer thought of they finally slipped up.
The 4 and the face kills me he does it as if to say "ffs lad, you can't be making me do this shit"
I read it in scottish accent and now I'm laughing myself to an untimely death
Quick as a shot, moves the napkin off of the table and has the tool hidden under it. Brilliant
Mickey just resigning himself to his fate is so... Powerful.
I was a nervous wreck during this scene the first time I saw it, LOL! Guy Ritchie is a King. Speaking of, watch (preferably pay for) King Arthur: Legend of The Sword.
It's SO much better than what critics said, same as with Snatch! The soundtrack alone of King Arthur: LOTS is beyond compare!!
Snatch! Yep
You can always tell its Paul Jones. He of the Manfreds and a great blues singer.
Great track for the events.
The long good Friday should have ended like this. Absolutely brilliant the gentleman. Xx
This is one of the movies that absomother****inglutely needs a sequel.
Has turned out to be one of my favorite movies
To anyone who knows russian this scene is even more hilarious because when the van pulls up the driver says "Eyes peeled, shoot to kill!" like it's just an average roadrage commentary.
He had to take the time to write out the text when he could have just called him. Love it.
Text was stealthier
They shot the Russians with an AK, talk about adding insult to injury.
Remember when the coach said he can do better. Yes, he did it.
The funniest part of the movie was after he showed Big Dave the movie and told the Toddlers that it wouldn't have been the pig he would've chosen.😂😂😂😂😂
Still don't understand why Fletchamumdo did not grab one of his insurance policies when he had a chance. Then get caught in a cab without it. Which means the story continues and it could have been interesting sequel. Because that insurance policy is somewhere again.
I think by that point, he had realized that Ray had the resources, wit, and motivation to track him down again if necessary. So Fletcher decided to go with a less blackmail-y means of getting money out of the story.
best guy ritchie movie since snatch .
Long good Friday Tribute there...very nice. Great movie...both.
Great film. Excellent acting and solid script.
Great movie
A long good friday type ending. Nice homage
Oh my God. I knew there was a resemblance between Mickey in the car and the end of The Long Good Friday - it's only watching this now that I see it's an exact shot for shot copy. Brilliant.
Guy Ritchie is so under appreciated, absolutely brilliant.
He is highly regarded and greatly appreciated.
@@VikingKong. I swear the term "under appreciated" is tossed around these days like confetti. Nobody in the last 25 years has ever under appreciated Guy Ritchie.
@@MrMartyD prob all the newer generation that cant stop watching grown adults in running around in tights

NFL?
"Dave? No Dave."
It's up there with lock stock and snatch. Brilliant.
Very underrated movie.
At 1st glance of the thumbnail I can't get it out of my head that Raymond is sporting a long ponytail
Damn. Now I can’t unsee that.
This movie legitimately GOT ME several times! I was SO happy i decided to watch it.
incredible scene
Everybody talks about MM acting when confronting Matthew but its just something about this scene I love this scene
Yeah I'm still relishing in how these fit together. But the overall thing main thing I think I like about this movie is that it's not like how every damn movie and show is these days, is it actually had the good guys win and the bad guys fail. It didn't leave a sour depressing taste in my mouth you know? Like there was no actual tragedy in the movie and that's gursh durn refreshing
The homage to one of the original British gangster movies the long Good Friday was genius in this scene
Four strikes
Awesome Long Good Friday nod.
Great Movie !!!
That 4 finger gesture, is loyalty 👌
I don't think so :p it was more like "see, bro? 4 favours now. I'm out of this shit"
Colin Farrell is the most natural actor. Him throwing up the 4 with that look LMFAOOOOO
What you need is a sequel
Fine Movie, really keeps your attention !!
We all need a coach to have our back
Underrated
A homage to “Long Good Friday” 😀
This movie is awesome
very good movie. recommend it to everyone
What a film
Ray's the best.
Just like the ending to The Long Good Friday but better.
I have to see this film. I must see it.
The first thirty seconds must be a homage to the ending of The Long Good Friday. 🙂
Love the self promo with « The Man from UNCLE » poster😂
Dave ..... Dave ? ..... No Dave .....lol
Raymond Smith: My Man....
Bonjour ou bonsoir, c'est selon...super film,a voir....revoir.
Humour,intrigue.. .
Gd those toddlers loves their coach
Man when the music started at 0:20 i swear to me it looked like Matthew McConaughey just started singing that. im dead
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but...
Guy Ritchie is on the same level as Quinton Tarantino.
The toddlers doing what they did absolutely confirms coach will still be in mickeys back pocket if they ever do a second film.
Long good Friday !
Люблю когда проявляют уважение к классике)) надо было Пирса Броснана пригласить на роль водителя))
“Dave’s not here man”
The Long Good Friday!❤
"Please God please..."
Goooood...
*Beat*
No God.
Ooh, final scene of "Long Good Friday"!
You’re spot on there
I absolutely love Guy Richie movies but the ultra happy ending was also used in Snatch and RocknRolla .
Not for Vinny and Sol .......
His movies are fairly much the same
The toddlers van as they drive past 😊
Final scene with Mickey in the backseat of the car with the Russians driving him to his supposed death is straight out of the Long Good Friday (1980) with Bob Hoskins & an early appearance by a young Pierce Brosnan in a bit part playing an IRA gunman. Except Hoskins’ character does get killed at the end. Lot of similarities between these two films.
I just recognised the shot in the car was a reference to the final scene in the Long Good Friday when Bob Hopkins gets driven to his death by the IRA
Can we appreciate the homage to Long Good Friday?!
“Dave ? , no Dave “ lol
Jeez, when that Russian turned around it was as if Peter Lorre had never died............................
Long good friday ending homage
Someone got The Long Good Friday on DVD for Christmas
was that bit with mikey a tip of the hat to the long good friday ?
Love how the car seats in the front prevent any bullets hitting Mickey in the back seat
I figure Mickey hit the floor and was mostly covered by the engine. The guys in the front didn't have the floor option. Don't know how he could have got away without catching a few splinters tho...
If you look closer in this scene they're only hitting the window.
All cars in movies are totally bullet proof, remember.
Ironic that in real life only if you hide behind the engine block are you going to get any protection whatsoever...
More like two bodies and a seat
Dave……… No Dave 😂😂😂
i work in a food factory with lots of eastern european immigrants, the dave? no dave line is so fucking real its golden
Obvious reference to the Long Good Friday.
Collins best role imo
In Bruges wants to have a word
If Hugh Grant ever wants a change of career, he could definitely make it as a pro hurdler.
Brilliant scene shame they stole it from long Good Friday
I don't it's a case of stealing it, it's more a homage to TLGF. It's too obvious that it's being referenced.
The mob is actually in debt to the coach now
Alright, alright alright
1:06 anyone notice how Fletcher runs, lmao
The toddlers tried to kill someone but ended up saving his life instead 😂😂
Anybody see the man from uncle poster
