Dude thanks for this tutorial? So you just got to bounce and that means that the track is migrated to the stereo double capacity 3 & 4 tracks that’s awesome
Thank you so much! This recorder has been driving me nuts! so many gadgets...but you explain every move so I can do a step by step practice until I get it right. This was all I ever needed. Can't thank you enough. I will have to play this over and over but practice makes perfect.
I learned a lot but I don’t understand what is getting plugged to what… in the beginning of the video you show you need a cable where one side is big and the other is small. But the IPad wouldn’t take the big plug.. I’m confused.. can you please clarify for me?
Loved the video, thanks! Would you be kind enough, and give me the name, info, anout that iPad app you used for drums, synths? I looked for hours in the App store, no luck… Thank you in advance!
Very good video! It's good to try it on your own at first then go to this because then it connects the dots. This video answered a lot of my questions. Thank you!
Thank you. Which input should I select for recording a mic (sm-57) through input a on the back? I had the side switch on mic not guitar, and I had the input selected as “mic” and nothing recorded. Should I have had it on guitar line or something? And if so, what is “mic” for?
Perry, thank you for this helpful video. I notice you bounced two mono tracks onto track 4. If you had wanted to, could you have bounced three tracks onto track 4? In addition, would it have been possible to add a live track to track 4 while bouncing (as one could with the old Tascam tape Portastudios)?
I never tried if during the master rec process one can record changings of the knobs. For example fading in/out, changing volumes and pan... what’s your experiences about?
You can go to the beginning of the song (00h00m00s00f ) using the Return To Zero (RTZ) function. To go to the Last Recording Position (the position recording last started) press the [LRP] button while pressing and holding the Stop button.
I'm sure I will refer back to this a few times, but I definitely feel a lot more ready to take on my first proper recording. What kind of SD card did you use?
yes I think it's possible. But I've never used a phone with the Tascam then I don't know which cable you could need. I use the Ipad headphone output to connect the Tascam, I think with the phone it's a little different.
Hello Perry, thankyou for these informative videos. One question... when I erase a song and create a new one, the song counter keeps going up how do I reset this? Example: erased "song 2" created new song and it's called "song 3"... delete that song, create a new song and it's called "song 4", and there is only one song in the memory. Thanks in advance. Liked and subscribed.
Thank you! You probably have to format your Sd card inside the Tascam. Keep in mind that you can always change the name of the song when you create it. I always use the first words of my titles, for example if my song is called: Future is a Ghost, I name it as Future.
Hello bro. Thanks for being shared, it's very easy. He was a little bit close to TASCAM. Do you know if you can export the tracks separately to work on the PC?
hello Perry frank I like to know to record your songs to tascan dp006 bounce and export your tracks to ad card please let me know thankyou very much please let me know I'm looking forward to your reply kinds regards William c adlam thankyou very much?
When you do the in and out before you master record my out works but when i punch in about where i want to start the song like 3 or 4 seconds in because you here all the clicking of the record buttons it doesn't seem to capture the beginning where i set it the out works but i cant figure out why the in wont work when i move the seconds to right where the song begins without all the unwanted noise and advice
I am planning to get the Tascam 006 recorder. But after seeing this video, I was curious - On tracks 3 & 4, I know they are stereo. Can you split them to mono when you are recording, creating two extra tracks than can be used to record on? In other words, are you able to record 6 tracks? Or can you only bounce them down to open extra tracks?
Once your sd card is full and you have down loaded your songs to a computer can you clean out your sd card and use it all over again..how do you do that can you please explain it to me.
@@PerryFrank Thanks. What I wanted to do was to have Input 1 for the drums, Input 2 for either guitar, bass, or vocals, and Track 3 at a condenser mike to get the all around sound. Them mix and bounce down on Track 4.

Yes you can do it, I did it with two tracks just to make an example
I never tried if during the master rec process one can record changings of the knobs. For example fading in/out, changing volumes and pan... what’s your experiences about?
Absolutely it works, you can mix it while recording the mixdown too
Well done!
Are you able to export the tracks into your iPhone to be used in GarageBand if you have an adapter?
Great video. Is there stereo line output jacks? Thanks
Thank you very much 🙏 yes it has a stereo output. You need a mini jack/RCA cable to connect other devices in stereo.
@@PerryFrank Excellent Merci mon ami et Bonne journée 😊👍
Very nice Tutorial
Thanks 🙏
Does it sound good if you plugged it into a pa? For like making backing tracks with?
yes, it does, tried sometime ago and it sounds cool
that was good bro, was wondering what bounce meant. do you have any idea what RTZ and LRP stands for on the fast forward/backward buttons?
You can go to the beginning of the song (00h00m00s00f ) using the Return To Zero (RTZ) function.
To go to the Last Recording Position (the position recording last started) press the [LRP] button while pressing and holding the Stop button.
I'm sure I will refer back to this a few times, but I definitely feel a lot more ready to take on my first proper recording. What kind of SD card did you use?
I have a 32 gb Sd card, but I think it could be enough a 16 too
I'm thinking of getting the dp-008ex; do you think I could connect my phone in a similar way you did with the Ipad?
yes I think it's possible. But I've never used a phone with the Tascam then I don't know which cable you could need.
I use the Ipad headphone output to connect the Tascam, I think with the phone it's a little different.
