I bought tires at Wal-Mart last week, and had to kill an hour, and the DVD racks were already out for Black Friday. The prices seemed higher than I would have paid in the past. I miss the old Black Friday DVD sales. That used to be when I stocked up for the year.
Lol I still have DVDs. Especially for the movies that you can’t stream on the Internet without paying like what’s the point of renting it to watch one time and I can buy it for a couple extra dollars and save it and watch it over and over.
@@pizzapartytime1826 Agreed. I still like a DVD so I don't have to chase down what I feel like watching across services. Sadly, this year the selection and price point didn't speak to me. DVDs weren't as cheap as they were a Black Friday or two ago.
It was America's Greatest past time with fights, trampling, looting, homo sapiens reverting to monke...the glory days of enjoying hot chocolate with my cousins and watching the anarchy of materialism are long gone 😔
My local Walmart stores had one small stand of movies and they’d been out for a few weeks. To be honest, I’m glad Black Friday madness is a thing of the past.
It's been rough for the middle and lower class the past couple years. Lots of people lost their business, were unemployed etc.. Plus, you add crazy inflation and everything crashing down. No surprise that it looks dead.
True I used to go to Black Friday in 2018 and 2019 but skipped this year no good deals for movies and games at all. Also inflation I rather save my money as well.
The days of waiting on long lines for BF are done. If they do have in-store exclusives, most of it isn't worth waking up at the butt crack of dawn to get
I think Walmart took off their deals on movies like 4 days ago. It was off online and the thing was gone from my store. So I don’t think they will sell the movies on Black Friday but that’s just my location in Nevada.
The last three years has changed everyones point on Black Friday, now people don't brawl to get the last kitchen gadget or the hot new toy the times have changed.
My Best Buy had nice 4Ks of the Christmas movies that were released earlier in the month and other random titles (Wayne’s World and Thor L&T 4k) but other stores had nothing at all. The crowds were non-existent this year too.
This is why me and my mom decided to go after that mad house crowd start rushing, pushing and fights to calm down and we just go after that crazy line slows down and yes, we are going this year.
Here’s what I picked up and ordered online for Black Friday: - 8 Mile 4K (picked up at Best Buy) - The Artist Blu-ray (picked up at my local record store) - Babel Blu-ray (picked up at my local record store) - Belfast Blu-ray (Christmas gift for my Dad) (picked up at Barnes & Noble) - Bodies Bodies Bodies (Best Buy Exclusive) 4K (picked up at Best Buy, obviously) - Holiday Inn (80th Anniversary Edition) 4K (picked up at Barnes & Noble) - Nope 4K (picked up at Best Buy) - The Return of the Living Dead (Scream Factory Collector’s Edition) 4K (picked up at Best Buy) - Starship Troopers (SteelBook) 4K (ordered online on Best Buy’s website) - Thor: Love and Thunder 4K (picked up at Best Buy) - Tropic Thunder (Kino Lorber) 4K (ordered online on Best Buy’s website) - The Usual Suspects (Kino Lorber) 4K (ordered online on Best Buy’s website) - Wayne’s World (SteelBook) 4K (picked up at Best Buy) Will be getting a couple more things over the weekend.
That’s pretty much how Black Friday was in my neck of the woods. Movies were on sale earlier in the week and even then there wasn’t much of a good selection
Reminds me of black friday 2019 when my local mall had more staff than customers. There hasn’t been that much madness as in US, but prople still get a bit crazy 🤔😁
Hey there! I bought Black Phone and Ghostbusters Afterlife and Pearl awhile back. The afterlife and black phone was in movie black Friday shippers a couple of weeks ago at our Walmart. I kinda wanna go get that steel book Spiral from Best Buy though.
Best Buy told me they don't do promos for physical media anymore because nobody (but us?) wants it lol. Walmart said their DVD/BLU-ray sale was last week. Total let down...
@@pizzapartytime1826 I think their goal is to remove all physical media so they can jack up streaming prices when no other options exist lol. I'll still have my zillion DVD's though!
I bought the samsung soundbar on the thursday before black friday 129.99 just had to buy something without any research. Today is still on sale but cheaper 119.99 this is tuesday after cyber monday. Thats why people dont rush in anymore
The deals for movies for black Friday has passed already.that took place last weekend and best buy had there's on Sunday. Lots of great deals on movies. Best buy was the best this year.
Not anymore. Today, people are being extra cautious with not only money but their time with their families. If stores want to do Black Friday on Friday morning (like it used to be back in my day), I can sure live with that. Household bills are now paramount to anybody and everybody out here. In a short time, this holiday season has gone to Black Friday to quiet as church mice as financial shock takes hold.
Walmart does online Sales Monday till Wednesday at 7PM then it would take affect in stores till Friday. Every week it was different stuff and Black Friday is games, consoles movies and other electronics. Movies and games are in action alley by electronics.
Went to my local BB. They literally had one small stand of movies with very limited stock... I'm feeling the changing of the guard with regards to physical media. It honestly hurts me to see black Friday media hauls becoming an outdated activity. Very depressing
Nobody has any money this year. And no one can afford to drive all over hell and back with the price of gas. And times have changed because of on line shopping.
Yeah I really reckon All the Black friday has gotten a dull for everyone Now cause There was hardly anyone buying anything at the sale's yesterday Shane Mate!😉☮️
Um no those where no where near 8 dollars when I went though on black Friday there wasn't really any deals that I could see and I saw things marked up then brought down to the regular prices as if that was the deal
My local wal mart today the 25th still has black Friday deals put pulled out all the movies they are all reg price now guy said deal for the movies ended wed.
Corporate commercialism and the masses killed Black Friday deals. The "deals" now are extremely shallow and stuff you can really get any old time. When BF was more of a fringe low-brow thing we got some amazing stuff. Then it began to gain mainstream popularity and every place started doing BF on other days. It gave stores less incentive to sell at lower prices if more and more people were going to shop due to this new mass appeal. I mean they'll show up regardless so why bother? When it was contained to just that 1 Friday it gave people incentive to shop, but especially after COVID and the mass appeal it doesn't seem necessary to corporations. Maybe it'll come back one day.

The whole madness is a thing of the past. It's about time people had sense to shop online or even before black friday.
Yep. You can catch a good deal anytime of the year online.
Praise the lord! Finally!
Or just stop buying stuff you don't need. That's the smartest move
It was America's Greatest past time with fights, trampling, looting, homo sapiens reverting to monke...the glory days of enjoying hot chocolate with my cousins and watching the anarchy of materialism are long gone 😔
I strangely miss it
Today’s BF deals were a total dud!😮

I miss the old black fridays
I always look forward to seeing these crazy videos and most I get during Black Friday are in the online sales

I miss when black Friday had casualties
lol
It definitely was not busy at all out there today. Lol Walmart just had that one bin like mine did too. Great vid
RIP Black Friday. I think all the future Black Fridays, I will stay home and watch all the movies I picked up in years past.
These stores are dead. Absolutely, no madness.
Dude you passed the movies in the first Walmart 5:38 😂
Yeah what a lackluster Black Friday crowd this year. I remember you used to have some epic Black Friday videos in the past
I always look forward to these videos, thanks!
Thanks for a Black Friday video every year Shawn, been a fan since the Maryland days with MJ. Stay safe!
Can’t remember the last time I was this depressed.
I hope that you had a great thanksgiving yesterday
I think I saw a tumbleweed blow by in the background!
Why did you want the squish mellows?
I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving Day Shawn! It seems Black Friday came early this year. Nice showing and cool video 'bro!🦃
My Walmart had NO DVD OR BLU RAY SALES. It’s probably across the board. So sad.
You literally missed a bucket with movies at 5:08 on the right
The Walmart dump bins aren't part of the Black Friday sale lol
The inflation is killing our vibes! Be smart people. Peace ✌️
Those don't look like Black Friday prices it look like just sale prices

That whole black Friday thing is a thing of the past now.
So is the middle class that fueled it.
I am sure the Walmart in my town is packed it’s always packed Black Friday or not so I don’t get there cuz I hate the crowds
Question. Does Walmart or other stores do black Fridays on Saturdays too?
My Best Buy had nice 4Ks of the Christmas movies that were released earlier in the month and other random titles (Wayne’s World and Thor L&T 4k) but other stores had nothing at all. The crowds were non-existent this year too.
did you not see the 5 dollar movies??

My Walmart’s first of the week they had the movies in the cardboards than on Black Friday they only had like 10 and they were the regular price.
@Coolduder_Via_Bestgram your welcome and I will
It's all online deals now
Walmart did their black friday sales during the week of Thanksgiving for movies.
Target never has nothing
Are there any Black Friday specials on items such as toilet bowl cleaner or dental floss?
Exactly. Shit we actually NEED!!
Looks like more and more people are just shopping these days, rather then spend a night out in the cold waiting in line lol.
Black friday was killed by the pandemic.. probably the only positive for me.
u should have asked a walmart worker about dvds

Only movie I got was ambulance $8
Its not the same cos people have no money anymore
Also the movies and TV deals are not as good as it used to be. Very lackluster I remember 2018 and 2019 being better.

i went to a 2nd hand store here in the netherlands and they had a sale thst was 5 dvds for 3,50$, i didn't have mucht space in my bag so i just got 5
